Shye stared at the resolute Fifteenth Hawkling, who had seemingly resolved himself to die alongside the researchers for the sake of not allowing them to escape.

Naturally, he had also long steeled his resolve to kill the young man in front of him despite knowing that he would probably feel very shitty after.

He knew their friendship was all fake. 

However, killing someone he had once considered a friend for over five years was incredibly difficult, especially for Shye, who deeply valued his relationships.

Left with only ten seconds, he had to move and quickly dispose of Fifteenth Hawkling, his men already searching for the item.
