Who is he

Ty took Chloe to a secluded area on the balcony of the building. He made sure that there was no one around and helped Chloe to have a seat. He took a seat opposite her and watched over her. He reached out to his pocket and fetched his handkerchief and handed it over to her.

Chloe felt so embarrassed having cried in front of her favorite actor. She was still shocked and surprised that she had got the chance to meet in person. She wiped her tears with his handkerchief and tried to calm down. It was hard for her to forget what happened between her and Adam and reality was such a bitter pill that she didn't want to swallow.

She took deep breaths and calmed herself as not to embarrass herself more than she already did. "So..sorry," she stammered an apology.

"Don't worry about it," he replied. "Are you alright now?" he asked in concern and Chloe nodded.

"I am good."

"It is okay not to be fine you know," he said eying her to see if she was fine.

Chloe didn't respond to that and remained quiet. He wasn't sure if it was okay to hurt the way that she did. Or if it was okay for her to be heartbroken for a man who doesn't give a damn about her. She looked away from Ty scared that he would be able to see through her. She just wanted all the pain in her heart to go away so that she could be happy.

"Who is he?" she heard him ask and glanced in his direction.

"What?" she asked confused at what he was asking about.

"The man you are in tears for," he said and Chloe was ready to refute but he continued. "And don't tell me that there is no one because I know there is. I have a feeling that you weren't acting the part of Lara earlier. It felt to me like those are the words that you are afraid of finding yourself saying. I felt the fear in your voice and your body. Tell me."

Chloe was speechless after listening to Ty. She had no way of describing how his words made her feel. She couldn't believe how he understood her words and the hidden meaning behind them so easily. She felt warm that he understood but sad because he was right. She couldn't bear the thought of ever uttering those words to him. When their contract ended she hoped that he would ask her to stay and ask her to be his wife. This time not in the paper for real but she knew that all of that was just a dream.

"It's nothing," was all she could say.

"Nothing doesn't make a person sad. If you don't want to tell me then it's okay," he stated. Chloe felt a little guilty after hearing that. He was so nice to her and he even helps her and saved her from an embarrassing situation and she was being ungrateful.

"My husband," she replied in a soft voice almost unheard but Ty heard her.

"Your husband? Why would your husband make you feel like that, Is he cheating?" he asked.

"No."

"Then is he threatening to divorce you?"

"No."

"I am confused. If he is not cheating or threatening to leave you then what is wrong?"

Chloe wanted to tell him everything that happened between her and Adam. She wanted to get all of it out of her chest but the words refused to leave her mouth. She was yet to accept the situation herself so how could she say the words out loud. She was afraid that if she spoke the words out loud then they will become permanent and she didn't want that to happen.

"I get it," he said making her look up to him.

"What?"

"You love him but he doesn't love you. I can understand how that must feel like."

"How did you know that he doesn't love me? Can you read minds?" she asked and covered her head with her hands. If he had the power to read her mind she was going to protect her secrets at all cost.

"Ha ha ha," he started laughing at how funny she was. "No, I can't read your mind," he said making Chloe bring her hands down from her head.

"Then how did you know that my husband doesn't love me?" she asked again not convinced that he couldn't read her mind.

"It is easy to tell. It is written all over your face, your worst fear is that he will leave you because he beards no attachment to you or your marriage," he explained.

"Is being a love doctor your part-time job aside from being an actor?" she asked making Ty bust out laughing again.

"I should ask you the same thing. Is being a comedian a part-time job for you?" he asked and Chloe smiled. She had forgotten how to smile for a while back there but was happy that all was well again. She felt relaxed and let the weight in her heart go. She found no pleasure in holding on to the bitter memories of the past and spoiling her present.

She and Ty continued to chat for the rest of the day. The two enjoyed their little talk with each other that they forgot about everything else completely. The auditions went on and the roles were given out to different actors. Everyone had left the building including Paige who went home thinking that Chloe had already left. She tried to call the girl's number but her phone was switched off so she just left.

Adam left the building after making sure that Chloe was okay. He called the driver and had him wait for her outside the building while he drove away. His heart was beating so fast and he felt weird, guilt was the cause of it. He knew that he was responsible for Chloe's condition but why she was so affected by his decision puzzled him.

He couldn't understand why she was so hurt by him. It has been days since that day but she was still hurting, at the auditions today he saw her performance and his heart broke in pain. For some reason, he felt those words she uttered were directed at him. That Chloe was looking at him while speaking those but he didn't understand why or he did and just refused to accept. He couldn't accept the reality of Chloe being in love with him.
