Weirdest conversation

Chloe woke up in the morning feeling very tired, she was physically and emotionally exhausted. She found that she was lying on Adam's bed. She didn't know she had ended up there as she doesn't even remember getting home. She got up and walked to the bathroom to freshen up, she got dressed and rushed out of the bathroom. She stood in front of the mirror to apply her makeup and saw her eyes were swollen.

The memories of yesterday came flashing back at her. Weeping distractedly, she buried her buggy face into her moist hands and cried. The disbelief of everything was eating her up. The door to the room opened and Adam walked in, she glimpsed at him for a minute before walking veering around. She wiped her tears and walked out of the room and went down for breakfast.

She sat down and Adam followed suit and both were served their food. They ate in silence, Chloe forced herself to put the food in her mouth and force it down her throat. She had no appetite but did not want to waste food so she ate it. She kept her gaze on her plate the whole time and didn't once lookup.

"Listen, I want you to find a new job. And I don't want you to do any other job apart from acting," said Adam as he drank his juice. This statement got Chloe's attention but she didn't lookup

"I don't know anything about acting," she replied in a shaky emotional voice.

"Then learn and I don't want any further excuses. It clearly states in the contract that for three years I have the right to decide everything in your life. From the food you eat to what work you do," he said, got up, and walked out of the house.

Chloe's eyes were brimming with tears. She got up from her seat and left the house too. Everything was fine in the beginning until he changed or perhaps that is how he is and he was just putting on an act in the beginning. Chloe's broken heart continued to break and she cried in pain. The driver was driving the car to her parent's house, she missed her mother and she could use a hug at the moment.

They arrived at her parent's restaurant and she lowered the window. She saw her mother and father were busy renovating the place and they looked so happy. She didn't have the heart to go to them in her current condition. She couldn't ruin their happiness just because she was sad, they deserved to be happy. She asked the driver to drive away, she settled in the back seat and laid there thinking about Adam's words. The reality that she has been trying to deny for so long came crashing down on her. Her marriage was solely on a piece of paper and nothing else.

She inhaled and exhaled heavily. 'Where am I going to find a job as an actress now. How am I even supposed to act in a movie?" she asked but got no reply.

"Madam, where do you want to go?" the driver asked after driving around for a while with no destination.

"Just drive around the city and take me back home in the evening," she responded.

"But it is morning now, isn't there a place you want to go?" he asked finding her request to be weird.

"If you don't like that then take me to the lake and throw me in it," she said in a tired voice. The driver looked at the seat beside him and Adam nodded. He was on his way to the office when she got in the backseat, he didn't want to talk to her so he just quietly worked on his laptop. He felt very guilty about everything but he didn't have any other choice than to do this. The two of them were only married on paper and it should remain like that. He was not going to let their relationship be anything more than that, he didn't know why losing the job affected her so much and he didn't know how to ask her.

She looked so bad and when she mentioned being thrown in the lake he felt even worse for what he did. He concentrated on his work and ignored his heart. They drove around the city refilling the petrol every once in a while but didn't stop anywhere else. Chloe's phone rang and she answered it,

" Hello," she said.

"Hi, Chloe are you okay you don't sound too good," stated Chelsea on the other end of the call.

" I am perfectly fine and why did you call?" she asked.

"Rude, I called to tell you that we are going clubbing later. And you my dear are invited," she said in a loud that hurt Chloe's ears, she removed the phone from her ears and put In tit he the speaker

"I don't want to," she said.

"What do you mean by you don't want to go. You my dear friend need a boyfriend and it's high time you had a man in your life," she stated in a serious tone.

"No way, I don't want a man in my life," she replied.

"And why is that. Oh, so now that you work with the hot Adam Ross no other man is good enough for you right? I understand if I worked with him even I wouldn't find any other man attractive but be a real girlfriend. You can never have a man like Adam so you will just have to settle for what you get," she said and shattered Chloe's heart even more. Her last statement hit so close to home that her tears started flowing. It seems that she was the only one who thought that she could ever be good enough for Adam.

"And you are not getting in any younger, don't you think it about time you found out what role a man plays in a woman's life," she added.

"What do you mean by that?" she asked in a pained voice.

" I just mean that it is high time you got deflowered. And I am only saying this as your friend who cares about you, you can't live a celibacy life with that body of yours," she stated and giggled at the end.

"No, no, and no. That is not going to happen so forget it. By the way what makes you think that I haven't had s*x before," she asked.

" One reason is that you have been single since you were born and secondly one-night stand is not your thing. It is just not something you would ever be comfortable with," she said in full confidence.

" And yet you are asking me to come to do exactly that," she stated.

"I just want to help my darling friend but if you are not comfortable with that I have another suggestion

for you,"

"Which is?" she asked praying that she doesn't come with a crazy idea.

"Why don't you seduce Adam. I mean an office forbidden romance will be awesome and it will be a win-win situation," she told.

"Are you out of your mind? How can you suggest something as stupid as that, I am not going to do that ever," she replied in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Come on it will be fun and I am sure if you put on a little effort he won't be able to resist you. You are a boy magnet, don't you remember college how the boys used to chase you but your stupid self would turn all of them down," she said angrily.

" I wasn't stupid. I simply had self-control which is something that you could learn," she replied feeling offended.

" My point is if you tried to win Adam he won't be able to resist you and you can solve your virgin problem. You will also have a killer story to tell your kids about the man who was your first. And if luck is on your side you might get pregnant," she said in a cheeky tone.

"Are you crazy? And would you have me do if I get pregnant? Not that I am considering your option but still what happens when that happens?" she asked curious where her friend's crazy plan was going.

"Well, you run away and raise the child far away from him. Rich people like him will probably take the baby away from you and then marry some spoiled brat and get a nanny to raise the child. So when you get pregnant the first thing you do is head for the hills as fast as you can," she explained.

"Oh, that plan is perfect, I didn't know that you are a genius," she said sarcastically.

"Look, my plan would work. He already likes you so take advantage of it and make him yours. A man like Adam must have a lot of stamina he will take you to the seventh heaven in bed. It will probably hurt the first time but after that, you will go to him begging for more," she said and Chloe laughed.

"You have a wild imagination, I will consider your suggestion in a hundred years, and thanks. I was feeling down and our talk kind of brought my spirits back. At least there is a reason that you are my friend and now before you corrupt my mind further, goodbye," she said and hung up the phone.

Adam who had been listening to the conversation couldn't stop smiling. That girl is crazy but he didn't just cheer Chloe up but he too felt better. That was the weirdest conversation he had ever heard especially since he was the subject of discussion.
