The call home

"Hello," Chloe answered the call.

"Chloe, where are the two of you," Adam's mother said on the other end of the call.

Chloe glanced at Adam, he didn't seem to be in the mood to meet up with his mother. The timing wasn't right.

"We are very busy right now, mom" she informed her. It wasn't a lie, the two of them were busy dealing with the issues in their lives.

Her breakup had brought so much disaster into their relationship. It was hard to fix it all, she could only hope that time would heal her wounds and help them move on from the past.

"Come home right now. I don't care what you are busy with, I need you both to come home," Adam's mother ordered.

Chloe opened her mouth to refuse the offer but the call was cut. She set the phone down and nervously glanced at Adam.
