The boss

Chloe was more than excited to meet her boss. Working at such a big company was a big win for her and she was going to uphold all responsibilities given to her in order for her to get on bosses good side. If she does her job well then she not only will get a raise but also be promoted. She was happy and at the same time nervous for the boss to like her. She put on her award winning smile and put on a confident look.

They arrived at the boss's office. His PA informed them that he was busy in a meeting so they sat and waited for him. As she sat Chloe's mind went wild in thought as to what her boss could be like. She imagined him to be an old man with gray hair and tired eyes. She also thought that he must be very strict, he must also his privacy a lot and that is why he doesn't like people in his office. She played with her fingers as she waited for her new boss to finish with his meeting and see her.

The door to his office opened and men in suits came out talking about who knows what, they walked passed them without sparing them a single glance. The PA went in and informed him that they were waiting outside and he asked her to let them in. When they entered the office he was busy typing on his computer so they couldn't see his face. Chloe was with her jaw wide open, rich people sure know how to live lavishly. The office was huge with the office desk on the right side of the room while a complete set of the living room was to the right. There was a 94 inches TV on the wall in the living room and what looked like a kitchen to the right side of the living room.

She was wondering whether she come to someone's office or their house. She sat down next to Helena and composed herself, but even the chair in the office felt like luxury. "Sir, this is the new secretary that you requested." she said starting the conversation.

"Hmm," was the only reply she got. He kept working on his computer and two of them sat in silence waiting for him to say something. He finished the work and switched off the computer before looking up. Chloe was busy playing with her fingers so she didn't get to see the shocked expression on Adam's face. The shock only lasted for a few minutes before he returned to his aloof nature. He studied her keenly and intensely that even Chloe who was not present at the moment felt it. She was busy debating how she was going to convince Adam to allow her to work when she felt someone staring at her.

She looked up and locked eyes with the same man that she was just thinking of. Her eyes widened in surprise as they threatened to jump out of their sockets. "You may leave now Helena, I will take it from here," he said without breaking eye contact with Chloe. Helena got up and left the office with a puzzled expression on her face. She had clearly witnessed her boss's strange behavior and since when does he handle employment of employees personally she asked herself and shrugged before walking away. It wasn't her problem if he did it himself as it was his company and he can do as he pleased. She went back to her office to continue with her still pending work.

Back in Adam's office a staring contest with neither parties wanting to be fast to break contact. They kept staring at each other until Chloe looked down,her face was heating up and she didn't want him to see her blushing. Adam smiled as he rejoiced his victory and was happy to see her blush from just looking at him for so long. He wondered how much more she could blush and decided to push and find out.

He got up from his seat and walked to her, he stood right in front of her and leaned his back on the desk. He pulled her to him and held her by her waist with both of his hands. "I already gave you a job, why are you not satisfied. You have come here to look for another job, why do you need to work here?" he asked in a sweet soft voice that only she could hear not that there was anyone else there. Her face turned so red, she buried her face in his chest to avoid eye contact but regretted it as her nose got attacked by his cologne. His smell was making her blush even more and it made her legs weak. She knew that if he let her go she was sure to drop down and fall.

"Why are you hiding your face from me. I am your boss and you should look me in the eye." he said and tried to raise her head but she refused to look at him. He laughed at how adorable she was and she wished to disappear from there. "Are you going to hide in my chest the whole day, you are going to have to face me eventually." he teased and she let him go and backed away from him, there was no way she was going to work here with him as her boss. How is she supposed to be professional with him while he goes and flirts with her. ' Where is the cold boss that she was warned about because there is nothing cold about the man standing in front of her.' she thought and wanted to leave but Adam pulled her back to him and hugged her from the back.

"Where do you think you are going? I didn't tell you that you could leave," he whispered in her ear and she shivered. "You have come here for a job then how can you leave without it. Come on I will take you to your office." he said and grabbed her hand and took her along with him.

They walked towards the office that right opposite to his, he walked in with her still holding her hand. His PA was busy working on an important document in his desk when the door to his office opened and his boss came in with a woman. He ordered him to pack his things and move to the next office at the end of the hall. This flow had only three offices and seven more rooms that's for Adam's personal use. The PA packed up and took his things out of the office, one by one he carried the boxes that had his belongings.

Adam and Chloe waited patiently for him to get everything out and once was done Adam ordered for the room to be cleaned and after that he asked his assistant to prepare the office for Chloe to use. Everything that Chloe would need were kept in the office and everything was arranged perfectly without even a single paper out of place.

"Welcome to your new office," he said as he left her into the clean office, the place was absolutely spotless and looked amazing.

"You shouldn't have thrown him out of his office for me." she said finally getting a hold of her voice.

"I know but what can be done he is already gone." he said pouting and she smiled. He left her in the room after helping her settle down and went back office to finish his work. He smiled at the thought that he had finally found a new hobby. Teasing her is so much fun and she got him in a good mood. Now he will have fun at home and in the office too.

Chloe couldn't believe what had happened, in just thirty minutes the office that used to belong to someone else now belonged to her. Her desk was only lacking a name tag and then it will be complete, she was not told what to do so she just waited for instructions by going online. She opened her Wechat account and checked all that was new, she found a message from Chelsea asking how the job went.

She text her that she got the job and she scream texts me and she can here my ears hurting reading the scream. She has always wanted to be an actress and now that Chloeworked there she was never going to let me hear the end of it. She asked her who she came to meet and she told her before playing games in her phone. She played a lot of games on her phone before she heard a knock on the door. She got up and opened the door and there she was. "Chels! What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean by that, I am your bestfriend and instead of letting me in your are bamboozling me with questions like a criminal," she said and pushed her way inside the office. "Wow! I thought you applied for a secretary's position then how come you are in the CEO's office?" she asked.

"This is my office and the CEO is opposite from me."

"Wait what! You mean to say that Mr.Adam Ross is in the office next to you?" she asked and Chloe nodded. I don't believe you she said walking out of the room, Chloe followed her as she rushed into Adam's office without holding back or knocking.

Adam looked up from his computer and Chelsea froze on seeing him and Chloe wished the ground would swallow her up.
