Moving in together
The car drove into the driveway and the butler came out to welcome us home. She opened the door and got off the car. Being attended to was something that she was not used to so having a butler to help her with the luggage was new to her. She was going to carry her bag inside but Adam got hold of her hand and pulled her inside the house.
"I already pay you as my wife and now you want me to pay you as my Butler as well. At least spare the man's job." he joked and she turned away from his, she was already deluded about the reality of her marriage do having him remind her stung her in her heart. She blinked her tears away and faced him with a smile, one that she had wished that he noticed many years ago and she turned away from him as her eyes hurt looking at him.
He headed inside the room and Chloe followed right behind him, she was shocked at how big the palace which she will need to call home from now on. She couldn't understand why people built such big houses that are so huge that people might even get lost in the here. How do people even find find there way around such a house. She kept following behind Adam and stepped only where he stepped in fear that she might loose her way if she steps anywhere else.
She silently walked behind him as she admired the beautiful decorations that she was used in the house. It might be an exaggeration of a house but it was indeed a beautiful wonder. They walked until they reached the humungous bedroom that must be the master bedroom. She followed him inside and stood by the door waiting for him to tell her what she should do next. He left his jacket by the door and entered the room and dropped on the bed and dozed off leaving a confused Chloe standing in the middle of the room.
She stared at him in hopes that if she stared long enough then he would get up and talk to her but that did not happen. Her stare did not bare any fruit and instead he just kept on sleeping. She walked to the bed and sat down next him and admired the gorgeous beauty sleeping so soundly. He came in to her life without a word and made her fall madly in love with her and left without a word and now he has returned the exact same way. 'I have three years to change the reality of our relationship and make you fall for me. If I have to leave your house after three years then I will forever cherish the memories that we will make during this period.' she thought as she watched him.
'I will always love you so much my unattainable prince and that will not change even if you don't love me in return. I will be the best wife that I can possibly be for you and I will try my best to make you happy. I will give our marriage a chance and work on it wholeheartedly that way even if I fail I won't have any regrets. Nothing can happen if you don't try right, then I won't just try but do my best. All I ask is for one chance to show you how much I love you.' she continued in her thoughts. She got up from the bed and went to the sofa next to walk in closet and lay down.
The minute she closed her eyes Adam opened his eyes and looked her. He was not at all sleeping but was testing her and she passed, he thought that she was going to fail when she came to bed but she surprised him by walking away. He thought that she might try to take advantage of him in his sleep. He didn't understand what she was doing looking at him for so long not that he was weirded out but he was just curious. He turned away from her and fell asleep.
Sometimes later there was a knock at the door and the maid informed them that the food was ready. It was then that they realized that they had slept for the whole afternoon, they got up and Adam told her that they would be there soon. He got up and went into the bathroom to freshen up while she was left standing in place wondering whether she should wait for him to be done or head down to eat. She didn't know what to do and couldn't decide as to whether she should take a bath or just do it after she eats. She was so caught up in her inner turmoil that she didn't see Adam exiting the bathroom.
He kept calling to her but she didn't reply, he walked towards her and stood right in front of her but she didn't react.She was busy fighting with her subconscious that she was oblivious to him calling her. He noted one thing about her and it was that she loves to think alot.He called to her so up close but she still didn't react, he blew hot air in her face and she came to her senses. She opened her eyes and was shocked at how close they were to each other. She moved back a step out of instinct and looked away from him, she stared at the ground too scared to look him in the eyes.
Her face has turned red by now and she was sure of it. She was blushing like crazy so she looked at anything but him. "Will you keep looking at the floor the whole night or will you allow us to go down and eat." he said and she nodded her head, she didn't trust her voice to say anything to him.
"Oh, so you want us to starve on our very own wedding day. What a heartless woman did I get as a wife." he teased and she prayed for the earth to open up and swallow her alive. She was bowed her head even further and wished that this moment would pass soon. He was having fun watching her getting so flustered but he was hungry and he can pick up where he left off after his stomach is full. He picked her up and carried her downstairs and to the dining room. All the servants in the house were surprised at the sight, they have never seen being friendly with anyone in forever.
He pulled her a chair and helped her sit down, he pulled a chair for himself right next to her and the maid served them there food. Chloe couldn't start eating yet, its not that the food didn't look nice but because she was confused again. There were so many spoons, knife and fork on the table she had no idea which one to eat with. 'Why do rich people always have complicate things and ruin it for others.' she cursed in her mind.
Adam was enjoying watching her change her facial expression like that, she went from angry to sad to confused and back to angry. He found it interesting how expressive she was, he decided to put her out of her misery and help her out. All the servants were watching so nudged her by the side and when he got her attention he told her to immitate him using his eyes. She understood him and did as he did, they had dinner in peace and she actually found it fun to eat like the rich. Once she was done with her dinner she got up to leave but Adam pulled her back and helped her wipe her mouth.
She felt her body heat up from the act and held her breath, she looked into his blue eyes and beamed with happiness. For the first time in her life those very eyes were looking at her and seeing her, she wasn't a background but the main thing that he is looking at. Their was no greater joy to her than that, her smile stretched ear to ear and her heart picked up the pace and followed the rhythm of her emotions. Her eyes started tearing up and she felt happy that she had gotten the chance to be next to her prince like this.
"Are you happy moving in with me?" he asked and she nodded her head. "Is nodding your head the only answer you know?" he asked and again she nodded her head, truth was that he was still holding her hand and she couldn't think straight with the heat that was coming from his hand. All her attention was on the hand which he was holding. He let her go and wiped his mouth before getting up to leave the table.
Chloe followed him back to the room, she was new in the house and she worried that she will get lost if she wondered around on her own. She took a very long calming bath and called her mother to let her know that she won't be coming home before falling asleep at the sofa.
