"Pardon the state of the room, if I knew you were stopping by, I would have prepared something...as you can see I'm in quite a hurry." Lihua said all while sorting through some herbs and stones.
Mei Deng nervously scratched the back of his head, "it's my fault. I didn't know you were taking care of my mother in my absence."
Lihua raised a brow, "so he didn't tell you I suppose?"
"Who?" He had a feeling that she was talking about the general, his cheeks flushed bright red at the mental image of the general.
Lihua shrugged her shoulders, "don't mind me. Anyhow, may I know why you've come seeking me? Is there something troubling you?"
"You're right on the mark... But that's not important, I actually wanted to ask you for advice on something. But before that, I wanted to ask you if you've heard about needle marks at the side of someone's neck." Was his response.
Lihua lowered her lip in shock but straightened her shoulders almost immediately, quickly recovering from her stun.
