Chapter 14

AWAKE

A pair of red eyes awoke with a rapid rush of breathing,when she finally calmed down her breathing had returned to normal,and she looked at the white ceiling her first thought were 'hospital',but that distinct smell of blood and disinfectant weren't there, neither were the cries or harsh breathing of those in pain. Her once red eyes now turned back to their blue ocean eyes stared at the white ceiling,then her eyes moved and she saw a bookshelf,then a refrigerator filled with all kinds of drinks ,that was when she realized she was tasty, she opened her mouth to speak"He..hello",her hoarse and somewhat tiny voice rang out but Celia who was deep in her experiments heard it ,and a gasp left her lips " She's finally awake". She said as she hurriedly left the dimly lit room,she brought out her cellphone and dialed Max's number; he picked on the second ring " Hey,Celia ,whats up?",his deep baritone bedroom voice asked and for a while Celia was stunned 'God his voice is so angelic '.

"Celia? Celia??",Max called bringing her out of her Dreamland,but the next words she said completely woke him up.

"Kiara is awake Max".

ZYPHER

Mon El just got out of his meditative state and saw Patek very close to him ,and staring at him,his heart literally went out his chest but his cold stone expression didn't change.

"What did I say about invading my personal space",he asked ,pushing Patek back and getting off the floor.

Patek was flustered,he didn't expert him to just suddenly open his eyes "Oh....uh...sorry ... I'm so sorry",he replied."Well ... I wonder what made you suddenly decided to meditate",Patek asked.

"It's none of your business",Mon El replied coldly walking to the sofa to sit down.

"Oh....let me take a guess, should I?",he asked, grinning from ear to ear.

"Fine ,take a guess,if it would get you off my back; although I doubt you'll be correct",Mon El replied with a smirk on his face .

"Hmm....hmm...ah, I've got it", Patek suddenly exclaimed "it's your mate right?you were searching for her",he side with a big smile on his face,and the smirk on Mon El's face turned into a scowl.He thought ' how the hell does he know me so well ',as if reading his thoughts Patek said "You forget I'm not just your advisor but also your best friend, I know you better than anyone ".

EARTH

Kiara was still on her bed when she saw Celia and that was when she realized she was at the organization's health unit,she was trying to sit up on the bed with the help of Celia when both her brother and Jayden with the rest of the team rushed through the door and got in the room making it seem small and tight.

" Kiara !!!",They all chorused.

" You are awake",both Max and Jayden said at once,then they both glared at each other before looking away.

"Ki...Kiara....", Kimberly slowly came forward,with watery eyes "I'm sorry....,it was my fault,if I didn't let you go out...", she sniffed, holding back the tears that were threatening to fall "if...if I didn't ask Max to let you go ....then you wouldn't have gotten hurt.... I'm sorry".

Kiara looked at Kimberly with a smile on her face and beckoned for her to forward,she held her hand and said with a satisfied smile on her face"you've got nothing to apologize for,infact I should be grateful, because of you..... because of you I was able to protect my family this time;Thank you". The tears Kimberly had been holding in came pouring down like a waterfall,she hugged Kiara and then Max came forward with a sad smile on his face and joined the hug.The others couldn't believe that the almighty Top was crying but then the scene seemed so intimate they couldn't helping joining the hug.
