Fix Me Phantom (5)

Ever since the assassin thing I was able to do my trick and talk to and sense other ghosts. It was pretty nice to have someone to talk to. I had connections to the other side. The other side is just a fancy spooky word for the phantom realm.

With my best friend by my side, I felt unstoppable in whatever came our way. Or that is what I felt. One day at school I went to my locker and found Sam there. "Hey", he greeted me. "Sup".

"Want to get into some trouble with me today"? "Sure I guess". "Okay cause this is gonna be big". "What is it". "We're going to break into the tech company downtown".

I looked at him with a surprised look. "Wow, I'm surprised I hadn't come up with that one". "Why though"? "I don't know if the building looks cool and we might be able to snag a look at upcoming technologies". "Okay when"?

"Come to the back of the school after school", he said walking off. I smirked as I closed my locker. Later that day I went to him behind the school. "You ready to go"? "Of course".

I threw him on my back and ran to the building. He got off almost throwing up. "You okay"? "Yup... Perfectly fine", he said catching his breath". We walked up to the building but the door was locked.

"How are we going to get in", he asked. I looked around to make sure no one was watching. I knocked out the front camera. I then walked through the door then unlocked it. I opened it and let Sam in.

We started to walk around. I touched Sam's shoulder and made us both invisible. We found the stairs and went to the top floor. We walked into a big room and found some blueprints. "Look Sam", I grabbed his attention.

It was a picture of a human brain and a microchip. "Exploding cranium plan". We both looked at each other with a worried look. "Hey", a man shouted. We realized we weren't invisible anymore.

"Grab on spider monkey", I said, putting him on my back. I picked up the spread and then jumped out of a window cutting up my clothes. I landed on my feed and immediately picked up speed. I ran to Sam's house. "You okay", I asked.

"I'm fine". He went through the front door and I walked up to his wall into his room. He sat down at his desk. I saw blood dripping from his cheek. "You cut yourself", I said wiping it.

Our eyes locked for a minute. I cleared my throat. "I should get I'm..going today has been a long day". I walked through his wall and landed on the porch. Everything suddenly went black.
