Chapter 2

INT. OLD HOUSE LIVING ROOM - DAY

Samuel holds a PLATE and walks into the living room of his house. It is lit by a single old light, and a sofa big enough for three sits in the middle of it.

Samuel approaches a large, long MIRROR used for dressing and checking.

SAMUEL

Mirror.

The Mirror SLIDES left revealing an old staircase going down.

INT. INVESTIGATIVE STUDY ROOM- FLOURESCENT LIGHTING TO KEEP ROOM BRIGHT - DAY

The Rogue Agent, taking off hat and officer gear, sits in front of a large billboards of NEWSPAPERS AND PHOTO'S. His SON, Samuel, approaches him, holding a BREAKFAST TRAY.

SAMUEL

Breakfast, Dad.

The Rogue Agent ignores him, eyes still locked on the billboard in front of him.

SAMUEL places the breakfast tray at the STEWART of the computer desk.

SAMUEL (CONT'D)

Your latest heroism didn't escape the morning news.

THE ROGUE AGENT

I saw.

SAMUEL

Dad, I need to ask, was the brutal beat-down necessary? The boy couldn't have weighed more than 150 pounds.

THE ROGUE AGENT

He killed an unarmed citizen, Samuel. Working to help traffic parts.

SAMUEL

And you thought beating him near to death to be a proper punishment?

THE ROGUE AGENT

The boy still runs the courts. The men that helped our main problem could get them free after a slap on the wrist. It's my job to strike fear in the corrupt after what they have done to use Samuel.

SAMUEL

I just don't want to see you become what you've been fighting against father. I understand why you do this, but all I want is for you to stay safe.

THE ROGUE AGENT

I haven't been corrupted yet, Samuel. This little friend group he thinks he can create for this man called WILLIAM AFTON, will end once I am done with him.

The Rogue Agent takes the plate of food and starts to eat, eyes once again locked on the billboard in front of him.

The phone in The Rogue Agent's pants vibrated. The phone screen displays a new headline reading, "BROTHER AND SISTER FOUND MURDERED IN A ABANDIONED MARKET."

SAMUEL

It seems he has attacked more innocence again father. If it really is who you think it is, you must stop him.

THE ROGUE AGENT

I can't be everywhere at once, Son.

The Rogue Agent opens a laptop bag and brings up another article on the screen.

THE ROUGUE AGENT (CONT'D)

This is the third time this madman killed children.

SAMUEL

How do you know it's the same man?

THE ROGUE AGENT

He left another bunny face made from children's blood.

THE ROGUE AGENT brings up a photo of a newspaper with blood written and that had a bunny drawn onto it.

SAMUEL

You were there?

THE ROGUE AGENT

Lieutenant Galvin gave me a look at its aftermath.

SAMUEL examines the riddle and reads it aloud.

SAMUEL

"Three people were found dead and mauled in their sleep. The autopsy states it looks as if a wild animal entered their house in the middle of the night. So far there isn't enough information to call this a murder or tragic attack".

THE ROGUE AGENT

This will never end intel he's dead.

SAMUEL

Do you think he's trying to tell you something?

THE ROGUE AGENT

That's what I intend to find out.

SAMUEL continues studying the photo on the computer screen.

THE ROGUE AGENT (CONT'D)

The boy's body was found next to his sister's dangling corpse. armless. Must have bled to death.

SAMUEL

He had a monster rip off his arms.

THE ROGUE AGENT

Not exactly. The killer trapped his legs in a saw in half magic box with two holes at the end of it. The box was linked to a cryptic system. Real saws lined its inside. The cryptic system was set to a timer. If he couldn't solve the puzzle in time, the razors would chop up whatever was in that box.

SAMUEL

And to complicate matters, her dead brother was dangling before her eyes?

THE ROGUE AGENT

The son was laying trapped in a metal and wooden box electronically connected to the box that trapped his sister. A child's wristwatch was fixed around his wrist. When the timer went off, the box tripped, and his legs began to saw off. He must have done this to piss me off. Torture is some game he enjoys to fucking play.

SAMUEL briefly looks over to the screen with the recent article on it.

SAMUEL

Dad, the article says the victims are kids related to general officer Kambale. Perhaps this was revenge related to how the General claimed he was the one who found out the truth of the missing children's incident. Also claiming so many objective statements that much isn't know of.

THE ROGUE AGENT

No, this wasn't for revenge son. This was a message.

SAMUEL

What type of message?

THE ROGUE AGENT

I don't know yet son, but I will figure this out. The Pizza Plaza burnt down a couple years ago. I heard a security officer was caught up in the fire sadly. Whoever he was put his life on the line to end this foolish game of jolly murder. So, I will be the one to end all these Afton cult followers. They know knowing about him and many stories sound more like fiction than real. But curiosity always kills the cat.

Both men look at the picture of a spray-painted bunny with a message written in blood.
