I hurried down the aisle back to my office to unload the food first.

I put it on the coffee table properly and made sure that it had a lid and that there would be no dust or insects before I went out to go up to the third floor. Maybe that's what they broke again.

Using my cellphone flashlight, I carefully crossed the stairs to the top.

I was still slow to step because there were a few paintings already attached to the wall. I might hit it only to be met with more nothing.

My forehead furrowed again.

"What's that?" Are you making fun of me? It's not funny. Who's there? What else did I hear about the crash? "

I waited a few seconds for an answer, but I didn't get even one.

I also looked around because maybe that's what my staff is doing nonsense. But no one is in there.

I began to have goosebumps as another crash engulfed the entire floor.

"Sh*t," I whispered.

There is no light here yet, and only the light from the flashlight of my cellphone serves as a light to somehow illuminate the room.

I was even more terrified when the cold air blew near my neck.

And damn, having my hair in a high ponytail doesn't help at all.

With the force of my heartbeat, I just backed away and quickly ran up the stairs to another figurine that I accidentally went through in a hurry, so it made a noise and accompanied me down the stairs.

I was even more surprised when my secretary's face suddenly appeared on me.

"What the heck, Lily? You scared me!" I scolded her in shock.

"Miss Aya, what happened to you?" she asked. She no longer noticed the cracked figurine at my feet. "Why are you hurriedly down?" You look like you've seen a ghost. She commented on how I looked.

I calmed myself first before speaking.

"Did you hear something bang upstairs?" I asked after calming myself down. She frowned at me. Nothing. And there were no people up there. Those who were carrying things left earlier to pick up what was left.

The only crash I heard was you running downstairs.

"We are the only two here." She added

None of my own, I nodded.

Maybe I'm just daydreaming.

I can still feel the coldness in my palms and the slight tremor in my knees because of the well. Maybe I did run down the stairs earlier.

Who has to have a very broad imagination and think about anything. I really should do something about my imagination. I sometimes tend to get easily scared by simple creepy things around me, especially when I'm alone or in the dark.

Even minor sounds can take my reverie to places far from reality.

"Are you all right, Miss Aya?" Lily asked.

Concern and curiosity are both written all over her face, one at a time.

I nodded.

"Yes," I'm fine, "I replied.

"Are you sure? You're a little pale, Miss. Would you like me to make you some juice?"

"No, it's okay. Thank you, but I'm fine." Fortunately, she didn't force me. She also said goodbye because there was still a lot to take care of.

I tried to calm myself before deciding to go back to the office to continue what I was doing.

I just shrugged at what happened.
