Beyond The Horizon; First Iteration

And I stand on top of this world. This never ending world. This endless void. In this place there is no light and there is no darkness. A place where violence cannot reach; A place where dreams begin to fade into this ever growing void.

The burning pain in my chest is gone, as is the hole in my cold heart that the ancient blade impaled. My fingers grow numb and my limbs become limp. Darkness took over me.

How did it come to this? I ponder as I look into the sky. My head became clear as my thoughts began to disappear. The blue sky becomes darker, and darker, as my core is exhausted. But I hear a voice...

"..."

I can't make out what they're saying.

"..."

No… That isn't right. I know what she is saying.

"...There is no going back now. Not for you and not for-"

I can no longer hear her. What did she look like? I can't bring myself to remember. But there is one thing I can't forget, her blonde hair. I will always remember it, as I fall into the pit of nothingness.

...

...

...

Where am I?

When I opened my eyes, the light blinded me. The white light encompassed me as I tried to make sense of it.

I remember what happened. I remember my fate and the liar who ruined everything. Her blonde hair, her blue eyes. The image of the one I trusted has forever been engraved in my mind.

I stand up as I squint my eyes in discomfort. I cover my face with my forearm because of the blinding light. In time, my vision gets adjusted to the light.

I looked around my surroundings but I... I see nothing. But then I see it… I see the origin of the light.

It is a beam of light. It went upwards and it also went downwards. And for a moment, everything made sense. I was where it all began. I was at the origin of it all.

I don't know how to describe the size of the light. I was smaller than a grain of sand before it but I knew that this was what I was seeking. I knew that the light was the key for my return. The answer for my goal.

And I stood on top of this world. This never ending world. I stood beyond the first Horizon.
