A DAY WITH MISS PRESIDENT.

CHAPTER 19: A DAY WITH MISS PRESIDENT.

"I was just trying to catch up with him," Kane responded to Ava, as she stood questioning what they were talking about.

"Shut your mouth. You think your new job has suddenly become catching up huh?" Ava asked, glaring at Kane.

"And you, Marty. I can see you've suddenly come weak. What was this poor rat catching up with you?" she asked, frowning her brows.

"It's nothing boss- Ma'am. Just telling him what to do," Marty responded, and opened the door, indirectly asking her to go in.

"I told you not to misbehave around me," she said glaring at Kane, she hissed and got into the car.

Marty nodded his head, asking Kane to go in as well. Kane got into the car, sitting on the front seat, looking frustrated. Marty shut the car door after Ava, and got into the car as well. He turned on the ignition and drove out of the hotel.

"Where are we headed to boss?" Marty asked, as he drove.

"Having a business meeting with Mr Williams," Ava responded.

"Alright boss," Marty said, as he continued driving. He didn't ask where the location of the meeting was, because he already knew. Mr Williams is one of her regular clients over the years.

Kane sat patiently without asking any questions. Because he knew he wasn't going to get a good response from the boss. So he kept quiet.

Shortly after, they arrived at the location. The driver parked the car, and quickly came down from the car. He opened the door for Ava, and she came down from the car as well.

Kane had already came down from the car, waiting for the boss to take the lead, as he hadn't been there before.

"Get my things and Come with me," Ava said, as she walked into the hall.

Kane nodded his head, in acknowledgement. He opened the car and brought out Ava's laptop and her hand bag, and quickly followed after her.

"Miss president. Good to have you here," Mr Williams welcomed Ava, as she got in.

"Thank you," Ava appreciated, and took her seat.

Kane quietly walked in as well, and placed Ava's things on the table, right beside her. And walked back, standing by the entrance to the wall, thinking he wasn't supposed to be in with them.

But he could hear whatever is being said from where he was, so he began taking notes.

_____________

"He could come have a seat with us as well," Mr Williams offered, as he noticed how Kane was standing and writing.

"Who?" Ava asked, wondering.

"Your personal assistant. Isn't he?" Mr Williams asked, looking at Kane through the door.

"Naa. He should be there," Ava responded, as she opened her laptop.

"I mean, this is a meeting that requires them being available. And this is my personal assistant seated here as you can see," Mr Williams insisted.

"Shall we begin with the business of the day?" Ava asked, ignoring Mr Williams's opinion.

"Okay then," Mr Williams responded, minding his business. He knew Ava to be a difficult person, but she never jokes with her business.

"So, you said you had something for me. What could that be?" Ava asked, wondering.

"Here ma'am," Mr Williams's personal assistant said, and placed a file on the table.

"Okay?" Ava said, picking up the file.

"Honey just allow me go submit my resignation letter, I beg you," Mr John pleaded with his wife. She had refused letting him go back to the office, as she had said, forcing him to write a resignation letter.

She surely wasn't joking when she told her husband to choose between her and his job. But she was just allowing her emotions overwhelmed her, forgetting that the job was all they had at the moment.

"Give me few minutes, I will do that for you," she said, rushing into the bedroom so she could get dressed.

"This is ridiculous. How do we cope, if we are both jobless?" Mr John wondered. He had never seen his wife react in such manner. Maybe there hasn't been such situation that could have triggered that part of her.

"Honey, you need to calm down. How do we take care of the kids if I quit this job? I promise that I will never cheat on my again," Mr John pleaded, as he rushed into the bedroom as well, trying to make her see their needs.

"I don't wanna hear anything from you honey," she shut him up.

"Can I have the letter?" she asked, stretching her hand towards him.

"Please don't do this. Moreover, you're still trying to recover. Please don't stress yourself," Mr John pleaded.

"Honey let me have the letter," she said, glaring at her husband.

"Okay. But please don't get into a fight," Mr John said, and handed over the letter to her.

"Good," she said, as she collected the letter.

She angrily walked into the living room, and grabbed the car keys. She opened the door, and walked out. She got to the car and got in, she turned on the ignition and drove off, without reading the content of the letter.

____________

"Where do I start from?" Mr John asked, as the little baby began crying. He wasn't used to taking care of kids. He stood, wondering what to do as he watched the baby crys.

He brought his phone and dialed his wife's contact, so he could ask her what to do to calm the baby down. The phone rang, but she didn't pick.

"Why isn't she picking up?" Mr John wondered, as he called again.

"Hey baby, I'm here okay," he said, carrying the little baby. His first daughter had already left for school, maybe she could have been of help.

Mr John walked into the kitchen, and opened the fridge to see if he could find something to give to his baby.

"Thank goodness!" he said, as he saw the baby's milk in the fridge. He brought out the milk, and gave it to the baby, not knowing he needed to make it warm enough for the baby.

"Here you go," he said, taking the feeding bottle to the baby's mouth. The baby tasted it, and refused drinking because it was cold.

"Please baby, don't do this. You have to take this," he said, forcing the baby to drink. But the more he forced, the more the baby crys.

"Please I need help!" Mr John screamed helplessly.
