The Man Who - Simply Wouldn't Speak

This was simply ridiculous, Tito refused to believe it. This tiny wisp of a guy, man maybe? was the sole connection to the alien visitor? That wasn't even the worst part, the biggest problem was, he simply wouldn't speak.

Tito stepped out from the chamber behind the glass and headed for the interrogation room, he'd probably have to do this himself if he wanted any answers. He dismissed the junior officer who had been trying to get the young guy to talk, he shut the door and took his seat.

He took a deep breath and looked at the young man in front of him, The boy was slouching in his seat, looking as comfortable and lazy as anyone could look in a chair made to intimidate and interrogate.

A closer look at the boy revealed long shaggy dreadlocks of a strange brownish black that confused him, brown skin that looked dull and worn from labour with strange spiral markings on his neck and cheek being the only exposed part not covered by clothing.

He wore gloves that looked like a second skin, but the most striking feature to Tito about the young man were his eyes. They were light brown with a constant pulsing glow that gave him the impression they were swirling toward him and he'd drown if he looked at them any longer than he had been looking. His eyes were for lack of a better word, Intense.

Moving closer to the table, he drew out the seat across from the boy and sat. Mentally flipping through the questions he wanted to ask, he looked up and met the gaze that seemed to stare into his soul and at the same time appeared to be on the verge of falling asleep from exhaustion.

" I want you to understand your situation, so listen well and pay attention, I do not intend to repeat myself." Assuming an air of authority, Tito proceeded to educate the young man with the nonchalant attitude on his present situation.

" You have been captured under suspicion of hiding important information, regarding the being responsible for the dome.

You will be interrogated and you will tell us everything we need to know, You will not lie. If you do so, you will be subjected to torture and thereafter imprisoned".

Giving a slight pause to let all the grave information sink in to the young man's head, he continued.

"I hope you have come to understand your position fairly well young man, now tell me. "

"Who are you? "

His question was met with resounding silence and a sudden grating sound as he watched the young man slide off the chair and fall to the floor.

It was in that moment, he realized the person that he was attempting to interrogate and intimidate had fallen sound asleep and quite comfortably I might add on the floor of the interrogation chamber.
