[Bonus Chapter] Problematic Interference

"It's the fourth time you're calling. What is up with you?"

Sia did not realize that her voice tone was high. Everyone in the office started staring at her. She gave them an embarrassed look. She rested her forehead on her fingers and started thinking of ways to tell her parents about Daniel. He was continuously insisting her to tell them about their marriage. She was not in a position to do so. She was afraid of how they would react. She was lost in her thoughts when Elaine came.

"What's up, Sia?"

"Nothing."

"You looked tensed."

"No. I just slept late, so I was feeling dizzy."

"Okay."

"Have you edited the photos?"

"Which photos?"

"Of Mr. Daniel. Who else?"

Sia put her hands on her forehead.

"Ohhhhhh! I forgot."

"Mr. Reasus wanted them because Mr. Daniel would be here any minute to see those."

"WHAT!!!!???"

"Hurry up, then"

She started editing Daniel's pictures. She had a long day at work and Daniel was continuously disturbing her. She did not take any breaks and managed to complete the work on time. She was thirsty and hungry. As soon as she mailed the photos to the design department head, she headed towards the coffee machine to pour herself some espresso. She had just reached it when Elaine came.

"Mr. Reasus wants you in the office."

"Why?"

She replied in an exhausted manner.

"Mr. Daniel is also there. I think they want some fixes in the pictures. I don't know exactly. Come quickly."

"Okay."

She stared at Elaine whose back faced her as she was heading towards Mr. Reasus' office and then stared at the empty coffee mug she was holding in her hands.

"They're really gonna kill me."

She sighed, put her coffee mug aside, and went to the office. Daniel was sitting along with Mr. Reasus. He was wearing a formal black and white suit. Rudolf was standing alongside him.

"Here's our editor. Sia, did you review the photos you sent?"

"Yes."

She said, trying not to fall.

"Were you occupied when you reviewed them?"

Daniel asked in a very serious manner.

"Actually, I..."

Her vision started to become blurry and she felt as if she could not control her legs. She fell to the ground. Both Daniel and Mr. Reasus got up. Daniel held her.

"Sia! Sia!"

He was trying to wake her up but she remained unconscious. He addressed Rudolf.

"Rudolf! Call an ambulance."

Rudolf started dialing the ambulance's number, asked them to come to the office, and replied.

"Sir, The ambulance is coming but it would take some time."

"We don't have enough time. Prepare the car. I would take her there myself."

Mr. Reasus could not believe what he saw. Daniel showing concern for an employee was a piece of crisp news. He shrugged. Daniel lifted her and took her to the car. All the employees saw this scene but nobody shot it because Mr. Reasus had introduced a no mobile phone at work policy. Employees were only allowed to switch on their mobile phones during lunchtime or after work. Sia's parents had become lenient with her so, they were okay with it. Soon, Sia was taken in a black BMW to the hospital.

She was given urgent treatment. The doctor asked Daniel to stay outside. He was tensed and panting for breath. He was all sweaty. Soon, some people recognized him and started gathering around. Rudolf took care of them. A paparazzi took his photos. Rudolf took his camera and destroyed the memory card. Daniel was impatiently walking here and there when the doctor came out.

"How's my wife, doctor?"

His tongue slipped. The doctor was confused.

"Your wife?"

"I mean the wife."

"The wife?"

"She is the wife of someone I know."

"Oh! She's okay. She is just malnourished and dehydrated. It seems as if she is a victim of being overworked. Don't worry! She's alright. We've given her an injection."

"Thanks, doctor."

"She's resting. You can go see her."

"Okay."

He went inside. Sia was lying on the hospital bed. Her face had turned pale, her lips were parched and her mood seemed gloomy.

"You alright?"

Daniel asked while caressing her hair affectionately.

"I'm fine."

"Did you know how tensed I was? I thought I had lost you. Anyways, tell me, what would you eat?"

"Nothing."

"Your bad."

At that moment, Rudolf brought a mixed-diced fruit bowl. Daniel helped Sia sit. He took the bowl from Rudolf, opened it, took a spoonful, and brought it closer to her as if he was taking care of a child.

"Say AAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

He said with a smile.

"I am not a baby, Daniel!"

She was furious.

"Admit it or not, you really are."

He started teasing her and she diverted her attention to Rudolf who was also there and, possibly, enjoying the scene. Daniel stared at him and he went outside.

"I waana go home."

"First finish this bowl then I'll take you there."

"No need to take me. I'll go there by myself."

"Do you want someone else to lift you up the way I did back in the office? Do you think I would let that happen?"

"Shut up!"

She turned her face around. He smiled. After a while, she heard her stomach growling and snatched the fruit bowl from him. Daniel started at her till she finished eating.

"Now I have eaten. Take me home."

"Okay."

After he was finished with some paperwork, he and Sia sat in the car. He ordered the driver to take them to her house. But, as usual, she asked him to drop her off at the colony's gate. They obeyed. As they reached the gate, she went outside the car and was going when Daniel slid the window and said:

"Aren't you forgetting something?"

Sia turned around.

"What?"

"Won't you let me meet my in-laws?"

"Wait till I tell them."

"Why are you making me wait for so long? When will you tell them?"

"Soon."

After saying this, she went away. She reached home and felt sleepy. Her father was not home. Her mother greeted her and asked:

"Do you waana eat something?"

"No, mama. I'm sleepy. I'll go."

"Have you eaten at work?"

"Yes."

"Okay, go."

She went upstairs to her room. She was sleepy, so she went to take a bath. Her father entered the room. After realizing that she was taking a bath, he was about to go when he heard her phone ringing. It was someone by the name of "Problem". Thinking of him as a stalker, he picked the phone up. The other person said:

"How are you, wifey? How do you feel now?"

It was Daniel. Sia had saved his number like that. Her father did not recognize him and remained silent. He continued:

"I'm curious. Why are you taking light years to tell your parents about us? I'm tolerating enough that even though we have been married since we were in Japan, I am not allowed to have you stay at my house or even tell everyone about our relationship."

Her father was shocked. Sia got married without telling them. He could not believe his ears. He hung up the phone and waited for Sia to come out of the bathroom. As soon as she came outside, her furious father slapped her so hard that she fell to the ground.

"What happened, papa?"

Tears rolled down her eyes.

"Never thought that you would have turned up like this. You married someone without us knowing."

He was yelling. Memona came upstairs.

"What happened, Fiano?"

"Ask your darling daughter."

Sia replied:

"Papa, I can explain."

"I don't need your explanations. Is it true that you got married?"

"Papa, listen to me first."

"IS IT TRUE THAT YOU GOT MARRIED!!!!!?????"

"Yes."

She replied in a very dull voice. Both Fiano and Memona were shocked.

"But, it was because..."

"Ask him to come here right now."

"But, papa."

"DO AS I SAY!!!!!"

Now even Memona was not standing up for her. She felt alone as she could not defend herself now. She picked up her phone and called Daniel.

"Hello, Daniel."

She said while crying.

"What happened, Sia? Why are you crying?"

"Come to my house, please..."

She started crying out loud.

"Okay...Okay....I'm coming. Don't worry."

She hung up the call and saw her parents. Their eyes were piercing her every second. After 10 minutes, Daniel reached her home and saw her and her parents outside. He completely ignored her parents and went towards Sia but was pushed back by her father.

"What happened, Sia?"

He said while looking at her.

"Is it true that you married my daughter?"

Fiano asked in a very authoritative way.

"Yes."

Daniel remained calm.

"But there was a reason behind it, papa.", interrupted Sia.

"SHUT UP!"

Fiano's tone was high.

"Don't scold her. It's true that I've married her and i whole heartedly consider her my wife."

Fiano's anger arose. He held Sia by her arm and pushed her towards Daniel. He held her.

"Take away your wife and never ever dare to show us your faces again."

"But, Fiano, she is our only daughter."

It was the first time Memona interrupted.

"She's dead to us now."

Sia could not believe what she heard. She froze and Daniel had to take her towards the car. As they reached it, Fiano said from behind:

"Wait!"

Sia turned around in hopes of reconcilation but only got a bag full of her clothes thrown towards her. Daniel asked the driver to put the bag in the car. They sat inside and the car went away.
