Doctor Rut selects Lux and a few others to witness secretive experiments, plunging Lux, a brilliant student with dreams of a promising future, into a nightmare. With danger coming from every direction, Lux and Chloe have to deal with the fact that the real villain may be closer than they thought.  Will they uncover the truth in time to save themselves and stop the organization's plans?

"Do you think we have a shot at solving it?"

"Of course we do; in fact,  we are going there now." Raquil replied. "My car is parked nearby."

Chloe followed Raquil out of the building. "Wait, what happened to Lux?"

Raquil stopped walking and turned around. "He couldn't come along, so I said he could wait for us."

"Oh..." Chloe frowned. "That's fine with me."

Raquil started walking again. "Let's go."

They walked through town, heading to the park where the victim had died. There were only a couple of other pedestrians in the street, which made Chloe feel slightly uncomfortable.

"Sorry." Raquil apologized. "It gets lonely around here sometimes."

"No worries." Chloe tried to reassure him. "It's not that bad. This area isn't too dangerous."

"Besides, I'm glad you came with me. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to learn from an expert like you."

Chloe laughed. "Thanks!"
