Doctor Rut selects Lux and a few others to witness secretive experiments, plunging Lux, a brilliant student with dreams of a promising future, into a nightmare. With danger coming from every direction, Lux and Chloe have to deal with the fact that the real villain may be closer than they thought.  Will they uncover the truth in time to save themselves and stop the organization's plans?

Chloe watched the video carefully. She sat on the sofa, sipping tea, while Raquil paced nervously around the small apartment.

After watching the footage for several minutes, Raquil leaned forward and tapped the table.

"What do you make of this?" He asked. "Did you see anything like this before?"

Chloe shook her head. "Yes. We did face off with a monster months ago. But this is different; this one is smart."

She paused the playback and rewound a little bit. "Observe the moment of the man's attack." The attacker is smart enough to not face the camera while committing the crime."

"How could he know that?"

"There's no other explanation. And if that's true, it raises all kinds of questions. How does it know about cameras?"

"Maybe it doesn't," Raquil said.

Chloe shrugged "That's possible, I suppose. Perhaps it simply recognizes those present. That still leaves a lot unanswered."
