Alleyway

After leaving the cafeteria, Allen wandered through the halls of the facility until he found a large open space.

In the middle of the room, there was a huge tree growing out of the ground. Its leaves were a bright green color, and they seemed to glow faintly. As far as Allen could tell, the tree wasn't real. Instead, it was a sculpture made out of stone.

It was almost as if the tree was alive. He wondered if anyone else had noticed it. If not, then maybe it was one of those things that you had to notice yourself to believe it was actually there.

Allen walked closer to the tree. He touched one of its branches gently, and he heard a sound similar to wind blowing in the distance. A moment later, the tree moved slightly. Then it brought out the eyes.

"Don't touch me!" The voice came from somewhere deep inside the tree. It sounded angry.

Allen backed away quickly, feeling startled. This was probably another test.

"I didn't know."
