Winston knocked at her door. “Hey, your attitude changed. What’s up?”
She slammed a dresser draw closed. “Nothing.”
He went up to her and held her in a hug. “Yes, there is something wrong. We’re twins. You have to tell me.”
“I don’t want Paula staying here and sleeping with Grandpa. He’s mine. We had sex, we made love.”
“You’re jealous of an eighty-year-old woman?”
“Call it what you want.” Joy pushed off and stood with her arms crossed.
“You know they had an affair when they were both married to others. They’ve known each other many years. Do you and Grandpa have an agreement to be exclusive with each other?”
“Noooo. Why should I have to ask that of an eighty-year-old man?”
He hugged her again. “Just relax and let the chips fall where they may.” He kissed her cheek. “Relax. Either he’ll have sex with her, or he won’t. Be Zen, Joy, okay?”
She smiled and kissed his cheek. “You always could talk me down. Thank you.”
He left and talked to Travis about Joy.
