Pain

She finally noticed that I was already sitting here. She looked at me with pain deep down in her soul:

"Does... Does my parent's knew about this? My dad-he always told me about piece and ideals. Knowing this????? Wh-why doesn't he stopped this?"- She started to shake and cry:

"He saved me, using his power, bu-but what about other peoples???"-She started to weep and I put my coat on her head:

"He is great dad and he is a great man."- She looked at me:

"But!!!"- angry scream break her voice. I put my hand on her shoulder:

"Isn't that great, that he tried to save dearest to him peoples? And he could run himself, but he stayed, trying to save others, even if he failed."- She looked at me completely forgot about anything else:

"Fail-ed? But you promised me!"

"Yes, I know that I promised you that I gonna help them, and nothing changed. I just wanted you to know, but what is your decision now?"

"I'm going."- She was completely lost, but able to make a decision. I pulled sword, which reminded rapier by it's form:

"I did not prepared you much and you don't have this monster inside yourself to be mercenary, but you have will. So please, bear it till your last breath."- I gave her it, and she accepted.

We headed back along the familiar paths.

When we saw Henos city, nothing seemed off, But we still decided to go through water. And it was big mistake.

We saw something big, deep down on the bottom, And It's started to get bigger and bigger. It was giant monster, fusion of human and shark. Human face and arms, and shark body, covered in gray matter. I turned on full speed, but it was able to catch up, human mouth opened and it had shark teeth inside. It's sank its teeth into Bartanda. Grinding of Iron bending under teeth. Water started to leak inside. Red light turned on, signaling about danger and that it's not gonna take long until Bartanda would be done:

"My old friend, I'm sorry, that it has to end now, and that I did not care about you properly, you was my partner in every mission. And now it's time to say goodbye. Theia snuggle up in the chair!"- I pressed two buttons, ejection and self destruction . And when we was shoot out almost on the surface of the water, we heard a muffled explosion. I looked at it, and it was truly beautiful. I felt void, like loosing someone close to me.

We made it to the city. But everything was wrong. Monster went and turned peoples into other monster. There was no soldiers near, so civilians has no way to fight them off. And every second, amount of monsters grow exponentially. Theia did not believed to her eyes:

"H-ow could something like that happed, how did they break in?"- I was in shock too, but it wasn't right time to just stand. I pulled Theia by hand and she asked:

"We don't gonna help them?"

"First we need to get information about situation and save your parents."- She dutifully followed me. We enter the bar, I decided there, because coffin-dodger probably alive and know everything and his bar in silent gateway, and heard sounds of fight. We saw three dead monsters, whos heart was shoot laying around. We rushed towards the sound and saw.

Saw familiar face of Rona turned to us, her eyes were empty, her always lively and emotional face, was empty, and her body was gray, she attacked old Eugene, but he successfully dodged her attacks:

"Father... Rona... want... a... hug."-I pulled my gun and shot her heart. Eugene looked at me with mixed feelings:

"Rona... My daughter..."- He fell on his knees.

A little time passed and he was calm enough to speak with us:

"Sharon... Thank you... You here for information right? A little bit later, after you left, you customers were caught and exposed as criminals, and authority was searching for you and your companion. And today, monster break happened, but what is weird, there was no guards or soldiers, who would try to stop monsters. You two should go."- When we left the bar, a loud shot was heard. Theia wanted to go back and check, but I held her by the shoulder and shook my head. Goodbye kind Rona and Goodbye old Eugene. But it was nothing new, everyone who close to me, Charon, end up dead.

We headed towards the prison. Because there is high chance, that Theia's parent there. We tried to avoid monsters, there were no more living people. Maybe they hid somewhere, or everyone was already turned into this. Everywhere there were screams, laughter and the call of monster. Every street was filled with gray mass of faces and red veins. It's looked like streets drowned in the blood. W were getting closer and closer to prison. And we already saw, that on it's territory, there was no monster. We snuck over the fence, but monster's noticed us and with infernal screams followed us.

Screams already was right behind our backs, I pulled out gun and shoot without looking back, the sound of several falls, but increased number of steps.

1... And we entered prison. I keep her closed by myself, we were so lucky that it was opened. Theia looked around, saw some tables and barricaded the door with it. And we heard the knock of multiple hands on her. Door staggered, but so far withstood the onslaught of monster. What a nice big iron door! We looked around and Theia asked:

"Why, every cell is empty?"-good question, we headed further in the darkness of corridors. There was nothing alive, we heard nothing, just annoying drop of water leaking somewhere. It was wet, dark and uncomfortable. But still better then hanging out with monsters. But suddenly cry broke the silence and Theia's eyes widened, she rushed toward it.
