Micheal Alpharia
Standing in front of the people of Ashwood, my heart raced. The moon goddess had blessed me again.
But who is she? I whispered to myself, trying to connect with her, but it wasn't working.
"Whoever she is, she must be an omega."
That's the usual thing that happens when you are mated to a wolfless or omega. I hope the moon goddess has something good planned for me.
Suddenly, a wave of heat washed over my body, making me growl.
My wolf eyes switched, my nose twitching as I tried to sense where she might be.
"She is close," my wolf said to me. I struggled to regain control, even though the moon goddess had blessed me.
The memory of Alexandra would never leave me.
The pain I caused her, and our unborn baby, was so heartbreaking that I couldn't forgive myself enough to move on.
"All hail Micheal Alpharia!" everyone said, bowing, bringing me out of trance.
"Let the door be shut. The alpha is about to give his speech," Louis announced. The palace doors closed, the music stopped, and the ladies ceased dancing. Silence filled the room.
I cleared my throat. "I'm glad to have you all here. Thank you for celebrating my birthday with me and the full moon today. It is indeed a glorious day."
"You are all welcome, and I'm glad everyone has found their mate today, right?" I asked, my face serious. A cheer erupted, followed by applause.
"Thank you!" I said, prompting another round of clapping. "I want you all to know that the claiming of mates and rejections will take place in the next two days." More applause followed.
"I want to say a deep thank you to everyone who came here. I'm really grateful. Cheers," I said, lifting my cup for a toast.
"Cheers!" I gulped down the drink. Suddenly, the door opened, and my eyes flared with annoyance.
"How dare you," a woman's voice uttered. I looked at the young maiden entering. She was a bit shorter, her eyes glittering and captivating, her curvy shape reminiscent of Catherine's but even more striking.
"Who is she?" I muttered to myself. I hadn't felt this excited since the death of my beloved Luna, Alexandra. What was happening to me?
Had I started to lose my vow? Her hair was tied in a ponytail, her eyeliner broad and sharp. My gaze fell on her, unable to look away from the beauty before me.
"How dare you!" Lady Nanazeen yelled, approaching her. A slap echoed across the room.
"Enough of that, not here!" I yelled at Nanazeen.
"Let me deal with this omega, Alpha," she grinned, baring her teeth.
"I'm your alpha, and you are bound to my rules," I said, my voice echoing and sending a shiver down everyone's spine.
"You will follow my rules," I added. "Alpha, let me take this destroyer out!" Louis said. I raised my hand, stopping him.
"You won't take anyone away. We are here to celebrate," I stated. "Nanazeen, is she one of your girls?" I asked, noticing her fury.
"Yes, Alpha," she bowed her head, giving the lady an evil glare. "Not only that, she is indebted to me. She owes me a huge amount…" Before she could finish, I shunned her.
"Silence. The lady will be in my custody from now on," I replied, unsure what prompted me to say those words.
A murmur arose among everyone.
"Silence!" I snarled. "Alpha, you can't do this to me," Sophia's voice sounded shaky in front of me, looking at the lady.
I felt something strange, a quench fire igniting within me. I couldn't quite describe my feelings.
"Thank you, Alpha. I will forever be your loyal servant," she bowed her head, and applause followed.
"Let the music begin!" I said. The drums beat again, and everyone held hands and danced.
Memories of Alex flooded my mind, the first time we met at the ball.
Her charming smile and everything about her were beautiful.
I couldn't help but remember her, and then the awful incident replayed in my head. I sighed, sitting on the throne, watching each dance step. My gaze fell back on the lady dancing to the music.
Her flawless shape moved gracefully. "Such a great dancer," I murmured to myself, remembering Alexandra's exact steps when she was alive.
She turned again, her steps and hips perfectly in sync with the music. All eyes were on her, captivated by her beauty, a fact no one could deny.
Dancing towards me, she bowed as the drum stopped. "Permit me to dance with your highness," she said, her voice respectful.
"How dare you request a dance from the alpha, huh?" Sophia's voice cut through the air, harsh and fierce.
Her words triggered something in me. "Luna, respect yourself," I yelled at her, my gaze drifting back to the young, beautiful woman with a captivating aura standing before me.
"Everyone should be equal tonight. I will dance with an omega," I declared, standing up from my throne and adjusting my collar as I descended the steps.
I stepped in front of her, her soft arms landing on my shoulders, my hands around her waist.
My eyes flickered with a strange connection I couldn't understand. If the moon goddess blessed me with a mate, why was she punishing me by making it so hard to find her?
As we stood in the middle, royal music began to play.
My eyes locked onto hers, her gaze igniting a fire within me that I hadn't felt in a long time. Was she the moon goddess sent to heal me?
"Who are you?" I asked, looking into her face, unable to resist stealing glances at the young woman before me. We swayed to the music, her seductive eyes meeting mine.
"I'm Alexandra," she responded. I paused, immediately the music stopped, anger flaring up inside me.
"No one ever mentions that name," I said as the music stopped. I could see the embarrassment on her face.
What was she trying to do? Remind me of the past? My eyes blazed with fury as I walked out of the palace in annoyance.
