New secretary (3)

Alexander opened his eyes slowly,he looked around and saw the white curtains and the strong smell of disinfectant entered his nostrils as memories of what happened flooded in, followed with a headache. He saw a small silhouette sleeping on a chair,he squinted his eyes to take a good look at her,he was shocked to the bones when he saw her,the same girl that became his secretary.

Sensing some one gaze on her, she groggily woke up and looked at him"you're up, finally. I thought you were dead"she said happy that she didn't have to bear another person cross on her head,he tried to sit up when she went to him.

"Don't try to sit before you break a bone"his mouth twitch,he noticed that she cared but was just trying to be indifferent. This girl.

"Why didn't you go home?" he asked her as she looked at him like he's some idiot"do you expect me to leave when i saw someone in need of my help. Am like the good samaritan to you"she said, only when did she finish talking did she realized that she was really close to him and one wrong move could join their lips together, she gulped nervously licking her lips as she tried to move back when she felt a hold on her wrist.

She looked at her wrist and saw that he was the one holding her,she was about to talk when he released her . He looked away"Call my assistant for me and then you can leave"she knew who his assistant was but she had one challenge.

"Actually,he went home. He said i should tell you that his child is in the hospital and had to rush home,so he asked me to fill in for him"she said trying to guage his emotions ,he didn't show any feeling but inside he was feeling nervous.

She actually never wanted to answer to his silly request, to stay with him,a person she loathed so much but she don't want to be the reason a child dies, the guilt will forever remain a part of her. After much hesitation, she finally accepted with the request that he'll be back within two hours.

"Go get me a coffee"he said after a moment of silence.

"Mr assistant said that it's not good to take coffee in this present state,he got you a porridge"she went to where she was sleeping and carried a bag and went back to his bed bringing out the food.

"Take, have it. Let me go and get some water"she stood up and was about to walk away.

"How can i eat it with this on my hand?"he raised his right hand up indicating to the drip inserted into his hands.

"So?"she asked him after stopping in her steps.

"Do you want me to die of hunger?. Feed me"he commanded as she raised a brow.

"If you die of hunger,i won't be responsible for anything. I could just say you didn't wake up again,if you're hungry, you'll eat it"he frowned at her answer,he was actually trying to be romantic using this opportunity to get close to her maybe he could find more clue relating to her but this girl turned him done and even said she doesn't care if he dies or not.

"You have no choice"she was already by the door when she heard him.

"And what made you think so?. I could just walk out of here and don't come back again. So what will you do about that?"she said in a challenging tone crossing her arms over each other.

"Am your boss and i say you should feed me"

"Fine , since i don't want to be a murderer"she walked back to him and sat by his bed, opening the food and feeding him in silence as he smiled a little.

She focused on feeding him with a serious face when the door opened as Mr Robert entered, she stood up immediately with a red face. Mr robert who met the peaceful scene smiled with happiness,his boss who had never been close to a woman was allowing a woman to feed him,he wished he hasn't disrupted their session.

"Mr assistant,since you're back, i'll take my leave. Mr boss,get well. Bye".

"Thank you."Alexander said, although he wasn't happy that she had called him Mr boss,he was still grateful. Mr Robert mouth was agape,his ruthless boss said thank you, the man without curtsey actually thanked a lady.

Elizabeth smiled at him"I didn't know that you were capable of saying thank you. Anyway you're welcome"this time, it was Mr Robert mouth that twitched, he was suprised by what she had said. Elizabeth who thought she did nothing wrong went out, Mr Robert thought his boss would be angry but who knows that his boss would be smiling.

God must really love him by sending Elizabeth his way' Mr Robert thought.
