This was a place where an endless radiance flowed, with iridescent particles spiraling and space frozen in place.
Time almost stood still, leaving only various-sized orbs suspended around, emitting an inexplicably dense atmosphere.
These orbs were worlds, nurturing and carrying countless lives.
Naturally, this place was the crevice outside the world.
No one knew when this place was born, just like no one knew where the first world came from. In the immeasurable eons, only a few entities could successfully tread here.
However, on this day, an unexpected guest descended into this fantastical place.
*Toot—!!!*
A loud whistle echoed in this frozen space as a massive black vortex appeared. Soon, a train, entirely black and filled with technological precision, emerged, traversing this fantastical space.
"Is this the crevice between worlds? It's my first time here..."
Inside the cab, Arkhan surveyed outside the train through transparent windows, his gaze passing over the unmoving orbs.
"A familiar feeling... It's the breath of life. So, these are the so-called parallel worlds?"
He murmured softly, attempting to project his consciousness into the orbs, only to encounter an incredibly sturdy barrier.
"Indeed, the world's barriers are not easy to penetrate. Without Cosmic Juggernaut, I can't enter those worlds."
Arkhan shakes his head regretfully while staring at the countless orbs.
"But which worlds are facing crises?"
Only by resolving crises that affected the world could he develop the concept of 'Savior'. Yet, with so many worlds before him, how did he know which ones were in danger? He couldn't just drive Cosmic Juggernaut and check them one by one.
"Right, maybe I can try this."
He sank his consciousness into his body, mobilizing the concept of Savior. Soon, he felt an unexplainable connection, like threads linking from those orbs to him.
The Savior only appeared when the world was in crisis. If the world was peaceful, the Savior had no purpose.
The Savior and crisis were like a key and a lock, naturally complementing each other. Using this, Arkhan quickly identified the worlds that needed salvation.
"But... how should I put it? Truly worthy of Nasuverse... So many worlds are facing destruction. I guess it's probably the same over at Honkaiverse."
Watching those countless threads, Arkhan sighed.
"Does it mean you can't survive nowadays without some dark and serious stuff? Really, why can't everyone be a bit more peaceful and friendly..."
Initially, Arkhan was worried that if there were too few worlds to save, 'Savior' wouldn't upgrade to EX. But now, after witnessing this scene, he completely dispelled that concern.
He didn't know whether to be happy or sad.
"Ahh, forget it. Now's not the time to be pondering over this stuff."
Arkhan shook his head, dismissing the jumbled thoughts.
"Time to get down to business."
Closing his eyes, he followed that mystical connection, elevating his consciousness to an infinite height, linking to the Throne of Heroes that existed beyond the constraints of time and space.
The moment he departed from his world, proper human history automatically etched a record belonging to the Chosen King, delivering it to the Throne of Heroes for safekeeping.
But since he was still alive, this record was just a meaningless shell—unsummonable and unusable. Unless Arkhan died, that record wouldn't manifest in any form.
However, now, detached from the world, Arkhan could be considered, to some extent, as 'dead'. So, with his consciousness, he connected to his own record in the Throne of Heroes.
It was a loophole in the Throne of Heroes, an abnormality that also allowed figures like Merlin and Scathach to leave their marks in the Throne of Heroes for the same reason.
Though both were very much alive, one residing in Avalon and the other in the Land of Shadows, both were realms independent of the world, granting them the possibility of being summoned as Heroic Spirits.
In the hall of the Throne of Heroes, the Chosen King seated high on the throne gradually opened his eyes, lowered his head, and scrutinized the body created based on the record of proper human history.
"Hmm... This body's a bit stronger than I imagined..." Arkhan remarked, a slight curve forming at the corner of his mouth as he observed the record before him.
