Nidhogg, dead?
On the battlefield not far away, every Servant couldn't help but gasp in shock, their eyes were filled with undisguised fear.
Nidhogg, a pure-blooded dragon and the legendary dragon from Norse mythology had died right in front of their eyes in a manner that seemed almost like a brutal killing, casting a psychological pressure and shock upon them that words could scarcely express.
Even in the distant Age of Gods, achieving such a feat was rare, and those who could were almost all famous gods or heroes.
'Merlin... is that woman really this strong?' Atalanta wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead.
As an outstanding huntress, she should have possessed an unyielding spirit, but the scene before her challenged her mentality. Trained since childhood to read omens and evade danger, she felt an overwhelming urge to flee this place.
At this moment, she understood that Merlin was not an opponent they could face!
At the same time, Medusa's expression soured as she saw Nidhogg's demise.
Even at her peak strength, she and Nidhogg could be said to be evenly matched. Watching Nidhogg fall so easily to Merlin's hand weighed heavily on her heart, leaving her breathless.
Only Asterios remained unaffected, swinging his two giant axes wildly on the battlefield, even managing to cut down several Camelot's knights while everyone else was still in shock.
Merlin glanced indifferently toward the battlefield for a moment before lowering her gaze to Melusine below.
"What do you feel now, Melusine? Do you realize the gap between us?"
Despite the distance of several meters, Merlin's voice rang clearly in Melusine's ears.
"As a traitor, your fate is sealed. But out of our past friendship, I can offer you another chance."
Merlin gestured toward Atalanta and the others in the distance.
"If you kill those Servants and soldiers, I'll overlook your past transgressions. From now on, you'll still be the Chief of the Round Table of Camelot, Lancelot. What do you say?"
Melusine's response to Merlin's offer wasn't in words, but a burst of dragon flame.
*Whoosh!*
A colossal, illusory hand quickly appeared, swatting the dragon flame aside.
Merlin looked down at Melusine in her dragon form, her violet eyes gradually obscured by a chilling, murderous intent.
"You truly want to die..."
Merlin raised her arm, creating dozens of spears of light that quickly rained down on Melusine, like a torrential meteor shower.
"That which heals all wounds and grudges, our glorious homeland. Manifest yourself, Lord Camelot!"
With a girl's shout, a huge wall of white marble suddenly materialized out of thin air above Melusine, causing the spears of light to hit it like a raging torrent, erupting with thunderous intensity.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
The white wall trembled incessantly amidst the booming sounds as if it could crumble at any moment.
"Ugh..." Mash held up her shield, radiating intense brilliance.
Her slender arms trembled under immense pressure, but she gritted her teeth, her eyes showing no hint of cowardice, only unyielding resolve.
As if sensing her steadfast determination, the originally crumbling white wall not only did not slide into collapse but became even more stable and solid. Despite all the spears of light raining down, it remained unshaken.
"That is..."
Merlin looked at the white wall, her eyes showing surprise for the first time. Her gaze pierced through the white wall, landing on a pink-haired girl.
"She inherited the power of Galahad? A Demi-Servant, huh..."
Her transcendent wisdom instantly made sense of it all. After a brief hesitation, she shook her head, giving up on the plan to continue her assault.
She understood that the white wall, more a manifestation of some kind of spiritual force than a mere wall, would stand firm no matter what happened. As long as the user didn't yield, it would never collapse.
Because of this, no matter how she attacked, it was all in vain.
Moreover, there was an even bigger problem before her right now.
Merlin turned her head, her gaze falling on the black-haired man still watching her from afar.
As she observed him, her expression darkened as it never had before.
She was not foolish.
At this point, even a fool should realize that something was amiss.
Summoning a massive spear of light, she crashed it down toward the black-haired man.
*BOOOOM!*
Amidst a tremendous roar, the black-haired man, along with his eight-legged horse, were engulfed in the explosion of magical energy, leaving behind only a deep crater.
"Heh..." Merlin emitted a chilling laugh, her gaze slowly sweeping over the people below. "You people sure like to make grand schemes, but in the end, it's all just a farce."
"Awful, she's found out!" Ritsuka, hiding in the distance, felt a sudden tightness in her chest, sweat beading in her palms, her face filled with anxiety.
Nero gripped Aestus Estus, her face calm with a hint of resignation. Even if it cost her life, she was determined to hold down Merlin.
Merlin's eyes flickered with icy coldness, her anger burning like wildfire at being toyed with like a clown. Yet, she suppressed her fury and turned to make her way toward the royal palace.
She had been delayed far too long.
The most crucial thing now was to hurry and assist the Lion King in getting rid of the outsider, not wasting time here with a bunch of ants.
*BOOOOM!*
A terrifying sound, akin to a meteor striking the earth, suddenly resounded from the royal palace in the center of Camelot.
*WHOOSH—!!!*
A storm of wind and flames burst forth, piercing through the sky and spreading outward. The clouds were instantly cleared, revealing a sky divided into two halves—one fiery red like flames, the other pure white like light.
Most of the force from the collision dissipated in the air, but some remnants still impacted the ground.
*BOOOM!*
The royal palace, regarded by all as the heart of Camelot, collapsed amidst a tremendous explosion. The destructive power obliterated everything, from the magnificent decorations to the grand halls, leaving behind only desolate ruins.
The explosion sent shockwaves in all directions, but due to the vast size of the royal palace grounds, it didn't affect the other buildings within the city.
Hearing the explosion, residents emerged from their homes, staring at the once-grand white castle, now reduced to rubble, with evident bewilderment.
Without a doubt, this sudden turn of events shocked everyone.
Whether it was Merlin, preparing to return, or Nero, ready to risk it all, they all instinctively halted their steps, staring blankly at the divided sky.
In the next moment, Merlin dashed toward the royal palace as if she had gone mad.
As the spatial confinement surrounding Camelot completely lifted, she moved like a ghost through the air and, in just a few breaths, arrived at her destination.
Among the rubble on the ground, she immediately spotted two tall figures.
They wore identical pale silver armor, one wielding a radiant lance and the other a flaming greatsword. They stood hundreds of meters apart, locked in a stare-down, resembling frozen statues.
This eerie scene caused Merlin to instinctively halt her steps until suddenly, she heard a faint yet crisp sound.
