Fate/Re:Zero - Servant Integration System (Fanfiction)

Transmigrated into the world of Re:Zero with a Grail-gifted system that allows him to integrate the power and abilities of various Heroic Spirits into himself, Roy makes his path through the plot while aiming to become a supreme existence. He starts with being able to bring out only 10% of his integrated Servant's power, but his Integration Percentage raises as he progresses through the plot along with Subaru, unlocking more of the Servants' powers as well as new Servant Classes. With the unexpected guest, the story of Re:Zero takes an unexpected turn as Roy uses his knowledge of the novel and Return by Death to his full benefit. **** It is not an AU. The MC is intruding into the original world of Re:Zero, with the power to bend fate. -Subaru is still Satella's lover and a crucial 'protagonist' of the Re:Zero World, but Roy is the true main character of this story and the events around him, due to his actions and strength. Roy shares Return by Death with Subaru due to unexplained reasons (very likely due to the Grail inside him, a defensive mechanism). - The System allows the MC to borrow the strength and abilities of seven different Servants, making their strength his. One of the unlocked Servants would be his main one, but he can also combine abilities and strength from multiple Servants, though at reduced effectiveness (eventually being able to become stronger than a single Servant). -The Servants that the MC receives would be rolled randomly, being ones that he's 'compatible with'. (Spoiler about Servants unlocked, in no particular order: Saber - Mordred Pendragon, Caster - Medea, Lancer - to be announced, Assassin - to be announced, Raider - to be announced, Berserker - undecided (hopefully with Alter version and high Mad Enhancement), Archer - undecided)

Chapter 1. Starting my life in another world with a system

[Prologue]

<To be the 'Protagonist' destined for greatness and Immortality in a fantasy world, my ideal body, with interesting abilities unlimited potential while living life full of meaning> - this was roughly the wish that he made.

Yet, he wasn't aware that what constituted the wish of his 'ideal life' was also the lack of knowledge that he is already the 'Chosen One'.

Since if he did know about his supposed 'plot armor', then his entire journey would have no meaning and it wouldn't allow him to grow as a person.

As such, with no memories of the wish he made, one day Roy found himself in a different world, in a completely new body.

Roy looked around with an incredulous expression, taking in the fantastical sight of the medieval city that he suddenly found himself in a while back.

All kinds of demihuman-looking people were mixed into the crowd - with cat ears, dog ears or with literal complete lizard heads, dog heads, cat heads and others.

They were not only walking, but also talking and their 'masks' looked incredibly realistic as they did so, making all kinds of intricate movements and expressions; they all wore clothes especially tailored for demihumans.

There were also lizards. They were also bipedal, but not humanoid. They looked like two-legged dinosaurs; whether it was their length or height it was comparable to a car. These were completely tame and were used to pull carriages across the street.

As for the humans - none of them wore modern clothing, but instead garments characteristic of medieval times or a fantasy world.

Apart from everything around him, what also shocked Roy was his body itself.

After looking into a dirty window of one of the buildings at the side of the road, he vaguely saw that he was now a devilishly handsome young man with silky long golden hair and crimson-red eyes.

He seemed to be around 16-18 years old at first glance. He was clearly tall and his physique could not be described by anything but aesthetic perfection, with just the right proportions, broad capped shoulders, a V-tapered chest that was neither too full or too flat, muscular arms, and flawlessly chiseled abs that signified body fat percentage in the single digits.

He wore a pair of long black semi-formal pants, black tall leather shoes, a black suit and black long-sleeved shirt, together with a red tie.

The skin of his face was as smooth as a baby's butt, putting most girls to shame, not that Roy had ever caressed a baby's butt for comparison.

'... I transmigrated.'

After performing a reality check and taking a few minutes to come to terms with his situation, Roy was forced to admit that he had indeed just transmigrated to a fantasy world in another body.

Ding.

At that moment, as if in acknowledgement that Roy was now ready, something appeared in his vision.

It was a blue squarish window.

[System Announcement.]

[Welcome to the Servant Integration System.]

'Huh? A system?' Roy was slightly startled at this sight.

He usually despised systems in works of fiction, but since he was the one who got it, it was certainly something nice!

At that moment, new messages continued appearing.

[The System will help the user grow.]

[Failing to comply with the system's orders *might* result in a penalty.]

After these two notifications appeared and faded from Roy's vision, another blue box took their place.

[You have three unread messages:]

[- Introduction to the Servant Integration System (unread).]

[- Summon your first Servant (unread).]

[- Introduction to the world (unread).]

Roy looked at the box for a moment and then concentrated on the first of the two messages.

Fortunately, wishing for the message to be displayed was enough for just that to happen.

He read.

[Introduction to the <Servant Integration System>.]

[Servant Integration System allows the user to integrate with Heroic Spirits of heroes from history and legends, also called *Servants*.]

'Heroic Spirits, Servants? That's basically Servants from Fate, huh?' Roy thought inwardly, then continued reading.

[The process of integration lets you absorb the power and abilities of summoned Heroic Spirits as your own.]

[At first you will be able to only display a portion of a Heroic Spirit's strength, but as you raise the Integration Percentage by using Integration Points, you will eventually be able to acquire a complete strength of a Heroic Spirit.]

[Integration Points are awarded by making progress in the story's plot and by completing system's missions, with better performance resulting in more Integration Points.]

[Note that you're able to borrow abilities from more than just one Heroic Spirit, but their powers are halved for other Servants apart from the main one.]

[Good luck!]

After reaching the end of the message, Roy let out a breath. 'A system that allows me to integrate with Servants from Fate. Very interesting. I wonder how it works.'

Around him, the market continued its bustling activities. There were loud and chaotic sounds as people were freely chatting and merchants were hawking their wares. From time to time wooden carriages passed through the streets to add to the cacophony of noises while rising dust.

But as all this was happening, no one seemed to pay attention to Roy who stood at the side of the market's street and stared into empty space.

Roy quickly skimmed through the message once again, then closed it and excitedly opened the second one.

[Summon your first Servant.]

[You possess one Summoning Card. It allows you to summon your first Heroic Spirit with one of the seven basic Classes of: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Assassin, Rider, Berserker and Caster.]

[The Servant will be chosen randomly, prioritizing Heroic Spirits and Classes that the user is most compatible with.]

[Note that you will be able to summon new Servants in the future and switch your 'main' Heroic Spirit as you wish.]

[Do you wish to summon your first Servant?]

[Yes] [No (do it later)]

Roy stared at the last notification that popped up. After looking at it for a while, he decided to go to a more secluded place in case his summoning might be flashy and attract attention.

After walking into an empty space between two buildings to hide from the wider crowd, Roy looked at the system window again, then selected 'Yes'.

With this, the question box was replaced with a different more intricate golden window that was decorated with intricate flower-like patterns.

[<Heroic Spirit Summoning>]

[Summoning Cards available: 1]

[<SUMMON >] [Cancel]

Roy took in a large breath. After hesitating for a moment, he called out inwardly: 'Summon!'

At his choice, the system window disappeared.

With a flash of light, a whirlwind of dark blue light appeared in front of Roy's vision, like a swirling galaxy or an eye of a storm.

Roy stared as the trippy whirlwind continued rotating and gradually picking up speed, like a summoning animation in a gacha game.

At first glance, it seemed to be happening in front of his vision alone, and not in the real world.

After a few seconds, there was a blinding flash of white light and a card appeared at the center of the whirlwind.

'Hm, a Saber?'

To his limited knowledge of Fate/Grand Order, the card that appeared was a golden Saber Class card.

[Congratulations! You summoned a Saber Class Servant.]

[The Servant's identity is: Mordred Pendragon.]

'Mordred?' Roy raised his eyebrows.

[Do you want to display the Servant's Status Window?]

After a moment's delay, Roy selected 'Yes.'
