CHAPTER TWO

Today is my schedule for enrolling myself to a University. I already prepared myself. All the things that are needed, my documents also my bags and wallet. I will never lose my wallet because money is important now. You can't buy food without money. Like what they have said, money can buy everything even our happiness.

I turned my head to the door of my room when it suddenly opened. Lexi looked there, frowning and meeting her eyebrows. I tried to smile at her but she just shot me a fuming glare.

"Hurry up! Mommy is waiting you downstairs. You're not a VIP to be wait," she said irritably and slammed the door shut.

What is her freaking problem? I didn't do anything to her. Why is she mad at me? Why is she so angry every time she sees me?

I let out a deep sigh and continued what I am doing. I put all my things in my small sling bag. I have worn my white Fila shoes. I left the room carrying my envelope where all my documents are. When I got down to the living room, I saw Aunt Marina and Lexi sitting on the couch. Tita is reading a magazine while Lexi is using her phone.

I shrugged my shoulder and greeted them a good morning.

Aunt Marina looked at me and a wide and sweet smile formed on her lips. "Good morning, Hija. Are you ready?"

I nodded my head. "Yes, Tita I am ready and I was sorry for letting you wait. I am really sorry, Tita."

Aunt Marina laughed but a soft one. "It's okay, Dear. I really understand it. You don't have to say sorry."

I looked at Lexi and was surprised by her eyes. She was fuming mad and anytime she wanted to eat me alive. Those eyes of her are threatening. Maybe, on her thoughts I was feeling close to her mother.

I looked away and managed to smile at Tita. "I'm really sorry. Next time I won't burden myself with you, Tita. I can manage myself."

"Lexi, come on. Don't be a spoiled brat okay? If you can do everything at your father's place, then here at home I will be the one to be follow," Tita Marina said somewhat hostilely. I looked at Lexi and yes, she got up angrily and walked out of the house first.

She didn't look back. She just walks straight. I looked at Tita who was now just holding her breath.

"Ah Tita, can we just understand her? Maybe Lexi is just going through something that we don't know. All we know that she's living in states for almost 5 years and we can't just judge her easily. Please! Tita, can we just understand her?" I pleaded.

Aunt Marina looked at me and nod her head. She didn't say anything. She walked out of the living room first, I took a deep breath before following them. When I got to the garage, I got into the car, in the back because Lexi was in the passenger seat while Tita Marina was driving the car.

"Thank you , Tita. Don't bother to fetch me later," I said with a smile and looked at Lexi. She tortured me before getting out of the car.

"Yes, Mommy will take care of my cousin. I will tour her. You don't have to worry about her becasue I will tour her in the whole University after she enrolls."

What Lexi said surprised me? Is she serious that she will tour me? I thought she was mad at me? What is this? She's not playing around right?

"Okay! I trust you, Lexi please don't let me down this time. Amaris is new here so don't let her down," Tita instructed Lexi.

She just nodded in response to Tita. I waved my hand at Tita while having a wide smile on my lips. I waited for the car to leave before facing Lexi who was now giving me a bad look.

Oh guess she was just pretending to be nice.

"You're too big to be watched. Enroll and tour yourself alone, you have a mouth so take care of yourself," she said before turning her back on me.

"But—"

"Shut up! Okay? I won't go with you because I don't like you. You wanted to study here so you can enroll alone." She turned to me and smiled. "I don't like you so why would I help you?"

I gulped and a bitter smile formed on my lips.

"What happened to you, Lexi?" I managed myself to ask her. "You've changed a lot. I don't know you anymore."

This time my voice broke but I won't let her see my tears. I wiped it with my bare hands.

"People change, Amaris and I didn't really like you since we were kids... I didn't like you from the start!" She grunted and turned her back on me. She started to walk and left me in the gate alone.

I let out a heavy sigh. How could Lexi leave me here alone? What did I do to her to make her angry with me like this?

She is right. People change and she changes herself. I can't judge her because I don't know the reason. I don't know the reason for her changes, why she chose to change.

I also don't believe that she didn't like me since then because we were so close and we couldn't be separated. Unless she is pretending to be nice?

I shook my head.

Maybe it's not like that, right? I know Lexi was true to me when we were a kid back then. She loves me as I love her. I still love her even though she treated me like her enemy.

She's still my cousin, my best friend and a sister to me.

I started walking into the campus and looked for the admission office alone. I just quietly observed the whole area because everyone here was looking at me and maybe some of them think that I am new and weird.

Well, I'm not really weird because I'm wearing it beautifully, aesthetic.

"Is she new here?"

"Maybe and by the way she looks gorgeous and shocks! She's good at bringing clothes."

I hear some whispers from them. I just shook my head and turned to the other hallway because I saw a sign that said it was the way to the admission office.

When I got to the admission office, there were already many students in line. I forgot the enrollment for the first semester. Classes will open in the next two months.

I first took a form from the first table outside the admission office. I filled up the form and fell in line. I was silent until someone bumped me. Fortunately, I didn't fall because I got my balance right away. I am thankful too that I am not wearing high heels now.

"Look at the road," I heard him say, his voice cold. I even heard the laughter of other people here in the admission office.

I looked up at the man who spoke.

Wow! Ha! Is it still my fault? I was standing in line here and I was very quiet and then he would say that I wasn't looking at the road. Is he gone crazy now?!

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. "You know Mister, whoever you are, you're abnormal, I'm quiet here on the side and then you say I'm not looking at the road. Are you fooling me? Huh? If you're not a big abnormal fool, you wouldn't have hit me."

"What?" This is an annoyed question.

I hissed. "You're so stupid! You're still deaf!"

"Repeat what you say!"

"And why should I repeat it? You're not deaf so you can! hear me, are you?" I'm disgusted with my behavior. His face got red with anger. The whole area became silent. I looked around and they were all looking at me with their lips bent.

What now? Why are they all so surprised? Tsk! Nothing is surprising.

"Bro, let's go she's just a girl."

I faced the man who bumped into me again and he gave me a bad look. As if I'm afraid of him? In his dreams!

"Miss, I'm really sorry. Next time we won't play on the road," said the man who was a bit tight and pulled his friends away from me.

I rolled my eyes because of annoyance. "Why are you apologizing? Are you the one who bumped me?" I asked the guy.

He shook his head. "But still, on their behalf, I'm sorry."

When they finally left, some people here in the admission office make a noise. Some of them are still looking at me and some of them were trying to talk to me but I keep myself busy on my phone. I pretended to be texting someone on the cellphone.

"Girl, If I were you I wouldn't have done that."

I turned my back and glared at him. My forehead is also wrinkled.

"Why? He's not the President's son."

She smiled and shook her head. "Yes, he is not but he is Blue Aiden Lacsmana and he ruled this University. I hope you stay in this University for a long time and I hope your paths don't cross because maybe he will warm to you this year. Goodluck and take take care of yourself."

Huh? What does it say? Now what if he's Blue Aiden huh? The hell I care. I am not afraid if our paths cross again. I don't care about his existence.
