"Where am I?" I questioned, albeit shockingly
There is nothing but rocks around here and what is this? There are some serious bloodspots all over the place and this place stinks of rotting smell. My clothes are torn and there is a hole in left side of shirt, and there is blood where my head was resting. This is not where I went to sleep last night, let me remember events of last night:
-- I was rejected by Julie, so I drank like crazy the pub.
-- I blacked out after 4 glasses and next thing I know I am in this place.
What is going on? I am starting to panic; did I get kidnapped or something? Why would someone kidnap a broke college student? And why is no one else here?
My head is spinning like crazy and damn this headache. I guess it's time to calm down and assess the situation, if they kidnapped me and didn't tie me up or anything that means this place itself is some sort of location that doesn't need target to be restricted to be captive.
All of a sudden there is a screen in front of me with a weird message:

Body and Soul Synchronization? What is that? All of a sudden there is a flood of memories coming in and I have a serious headache. I blacked out after I couldn't take the pain.
I don't know how long I was passed out for, but I think I have an idea about where I am now. I am currently Jared Lane, youngest son of Duke Lane and quite frankly one of the most spoiled and entitled brat. I was on my way to the Count Gilbert's estate for training when I was ambushed in the way by assassins.
My escort knights made me hide in a cave with 1 knight as my bodyguard while they fought off the assassins. But the bodyguard was working with the assassins and attacked Jared when they were alone. He stabbed Jared's vitals so even if he ran Jared would've died from blood loss and the scent of blood would attract wild animals and they would finish him off.
Jared managed to escape the corrupt knight, but unfortunately fell down the cliff in the cave and the memories end there.

There is a screen in front of me that looks a game screen from RPG games like Final Fantasy. Let's see, I should click the information button:

It seems this is similar to standard RPG stats, where stamina is related to vitality and other fitness related stat. Agility is probably related cardiovascular level of fitness, while strength seems to be related to muscle structure of the body and ability to use close combat weapons.
Intelligence is probably related to magic capability and other studious tasks. It seems Jared leans more towards magic due to unique skills and magic affinity. There are only 30% people in this world who have magic attribute and only 10% of people have 2 attributes.
I am not sure if I am still drunk or not? But this is just unbelievable, I have to live as someone else until I figure out what is going on. Let's see, I have a sword that is pretty damaged and the guy who chased me here is probably still looking for me to finish me off.
I am military trained student, so I know how to fight back. If that guy finds me, there is sufficient proof that this is not earth or my body.
I took partially damaged sword and started looking around in the cave, it seems that I fell through a cliff headfirst, but I didn't fall too deep. I seemed to have fallen 100 meters, so that's why there was blood where my head was resting. No one would survive that fall, it is safe to assume that Jared is dead, and I somehow transmigrated in his body.
I started walking towards the path on the side and after walking a bit I notice a level 5 slime eating something. After getting a bit closer, it seems that the slime is eating the guard that was working with assassins. Eye of Dragon allows me the appraise the status of any item or person, it is one of the rarest skills. Without this skill, there is no way to check someone's status, if you wanted to check your own stats, you had to go to temple.
Eye of Dragon is showing me following information for the slime:

If I try to sneak around, it will notice me, and I will be at disadvantage because I will be caught off guard.
I picked up rock and threw it at the slime. It didn't do any damage, and the slime noticed me and started sliding to me at breakneck speed. I don't have time to react since the slime is already at point blank range in less than 1 second.
I swing the sword and it has done zero damage. I dodge the tackle from the slime at last second, and it spit green goo at me. I couldn't dodge it completely and the goo touched my left hand, there is a hellish pain in left hand, and it feels like the skin is melting. Skin is starting to peel off and showing strange discoloration, I can't take any more of these attacks. I need to find a way to kill the slime.
I tripped on the rock and the rock ended up flying and hitting straight to the core of slime.
"..."
"Seriously?"
The slime is dead, and I leveled up.
This is very first time writing anything in english. So my sincere apologies as the story seems all over the place in the beginning. This will be standard OP Protag Isekai adventure story.
