Chapter Sixty-Two

Violet's (POV)

I woke up when Ralph brought me our two crying boys. I sat up on our bed and started feeding them after they were done we changed them and then went downstairs.

We put them on a playmat and watched them play. When there was a knock on the door

I went to open it and saw my family I smile and stepped away so they can come in.

"They're in the living room," I said

They hugged me and then went to the living room after I closed the door I followed them.

"My grandbabies just look at how cute they are," Mama said happily

"I'm making coffee want some?" I asked

I got a bunch of no's and walked to the kitchen to get myself some coffee after I got my coffee I went back into the living room and saw Blake and grandpa M hold the twins

"See Gio likes me more look at him he's smiling," Blake said

"Enough, you guys are not going to fight about who my kids love more," Ralph said

"Yeah no arguing in front of them," I said and sit next to him.

After a while of talking Dame got a call and excused himself from the room.

"We need to leave now," Dame said as he entered the room again

"What's wrong?" Ralph asked

"There's a problem at our base and we need to go sort it out," Dame said

"Want some help?" Ralph asked again

"No, we'll be fine just take care of them we'll see you guys Friday right?" Dame asked

"Yeah we'll see you guys Friday and Saturday for the picnic," I said

"Okay see you guys them," Dad said and kissed my head. They all said goodbye and then left.

"I'm going to start dinner watch the kids," I said and kissed Ralph

"Sure love," he said

I went to the kitchen and then started dinner after I was done we sat and eat dinner our food as we watch the two play.

"We should probably get them to bed," I said

"Okay let me put this in the kitchen and then I'll come and help you," Ralph said as he took our plates and went into the kitchen

I picked up the two kids and walked to their nursery. I put them in their cribs and started singing a lullaby.

As soon as they were asleep I left the room quietly and went to my room to see Ralph wasn't there. I went to his home office and saw him on the phone.

"Fuck any ideas to handle this?" I heard him ask

"No that's out of the question. I'm not involving her," he said

"No, listen I'll come tomorrow just fix the shipment problem and find out who attacked us. I'll handle the rest," he said and hung up

He turned around and his eyes went wide when he saw me standing at the door

"What's going on Ralph you and my brothers have been off and u want to know now why that is," I asked furiously

"Love you don't have to worry about it we're trying to fix it," he said

"Fix what Ralph? What are you guys hiding? What the fucks going on?" I asked getting livid

"There is someone out there who's trying to destroy the treaty and there attacking everyone. Last night it was your brother's shipment before that it was they attacked the Vipers and the British Mafia and tonight they attacked us," Ralph said

"And all of you hid this from me?" I asked mad

"I doing want you to stress or worry you just had the kids," he said

"That's not an excuse Ralph I'm the Queen and your wife I should know this and help my husband and people," I said

"Your right love but I don't want you to because what if something happens? The boys will need you and I'm not willing to lose you so I didn't want to involve you and I didn't want to worry you okay so sue me for keeping it from you but I will not and I mean not involve you in any of this," he said

"And what if I lose you don't you see if I lose you I'll never make it I love you Ralph and just so you know you don't have a say in this because I'm already involved. It's my family these assholes are messing with okay and they messed with the wrong family," I said

"Love..." Ralph tried to argue but I cut him off

"The people who are doing this are they the same people who hired the other gang not so long ago?" I asked

"Yes we think so, You know you're stubborn right?" He said

"So do we have any idea who these guys are?" I asked as I looked at the papers on the table

"No all we know is there trying to make it seem like we're attacking each other," Ralph replied

"We need to talk to the others and warn them and we can also plan our next moves and maby find out who we're dealing with," I said

"That's not a bad plan," he said and then added, "I call everyone and get them to meet here tomorrow in the meantime why don't we go get some rest," he said and slipped his arms around my waist

"Nice try but your sleeping on the couch tonight since you kept this from me and maybe tomorrow you can sleep on the bed next to me," I said patted his cheek, and then left the room

The next day I woke up to the twins crying. I went to them immediately and found Ralph sleeping on the small bed in their nursery.

"Shh shh mommy's here," I said to Gio who's crying as I picked him up

I sat on the rocking chair and start feeding him. I saw Ralph waking up just as I finished feeding Gio. I put Gio back in his crib and then turned around to see Ralph standing in front of me

"Morning amore," he said

"Morning learned your lesson yet?" I asked

"Yes, I have I'm I forgiven?" He asked

"Yes, you are. Now let's go get ready and then you can come help me with breakfast," I said kissing him and then leaving the room

After I did my morning routines I went down to the kitchen the kids were still asleep so we decided to make some breakfast and some snacks for our family and friends

"Okay do when we're both in the meeting what about the kids?" Ralph asked

"I'm sure mama and my grandmothers won't mind keeping an eye on the kids while we work for a while," I said as I flipped another pancake

"I already have a headache," he said

"Come on all of them are family," I said smiling

"Yeah but it doesn't mean they can't be a pain sometimes," Ralph mumbled

"Shut it and finish up the bacon," I said rolling my eyes

After we were done making the food our family and friends showed up we all went to our second dining room which was bigger than our first one and sat down at the table

"So when are we going to meet the two lovely's?" Grace asked

"They're still sleeping maby after we're done with breakfast they'll be awake and then you guys can meet them," I said smiling

We made small talk while finishing eating. The two started screaming in the middle so I went up and brought them both down

"Aw they are so cute," Nadia said

They all met the boys and then we went to our conference room on the third floor of our house for the meeting while the kids and my grandmother's were playing outback

We started planning and finding ways to find out who the people are, why they're doing this and how to stop them.

Once we were done we all went downstairs and chatted a while longer before everyone left

"Today went well," I said as we sat down on the couch

"Yeah except for the headache our lovely younger brother gave me. Maybe next time when we have a meeting only our big brothers could come," he said and rubbed his templet

"Yeah they were a handful today," I said and placed my head on his shoulder

"Ugh, it's time to get them ready for bed mind bathing them tonight while I clean up?" I asked after a while

"Sure love," he said and picked up the kids

I started cleaning up when someone knocked on our door. I went to open it and saw a police officer standing in front of me

"Good evening miss sorry to disturb you so late but we picked up two children who claim that they live here," the officer said

"Really who are they?" I asked

"They say their names are Niel who's 14 and Michael who's 4 do you know them?" The officer asked

"Yes their mother is a friend of mine," I lied

"Really oh okay let me go get them," the officer said and went to his car

"Why did you just lie?" Ralph asked from behind me

"Because I know a little about foster care and how that system is corrupt so I want to know why the boys said they lived here and why they're on the street so late," I said

"Love..." Ralph tried to say but the cop came into view with a boy carrying another

"Come on in boys," I said to the kids and then turned to the officer, "Thank you for bringing them here have a good night,"

"Glad I could help miss," the officer said and left

I closed the door and turned to the boys who looked scared

"You guys want something to eat or drink?" I asked

"Why did you say you know us?" The older kid asked

"Because she's a nice person and won't let some kids go into a corrupt system," Ralph said

"You guys want to tell us why you're on the streets so late and not at home?" I asked

"We don't have a home and we ran away from our abusive foster father," the older one said again

"What is your name?" I asked the two boys

"The police officer already gave them to you," he said again

"If I was on the run and very smart I would give anyone a fake name so what is your real name's," Ralph asked

"Nicolas but everyone calls me Niko and this is my brother Cody," he said after a minute thinking

"Nice to meet you guys I'm Violet and this is Ralph," I said and then said, "Come one I'll get you guys something to eat,"

They followed me into the kitchen and I took out two plates and sat some leftover food in for them and give it to them with a glass of juice

"Thank you," Niko said and they both started eating

"Tell us about yourselves," I said as they finished their food

"Well I'm fourteen and my brother four our father never wanted kids but when our mother had Cody our father left her so she raised us until Cody was two

She became very sick and send us away after that we went from one foster family to the next until this one where our foster father abused us. I couldn't handle it anymore so we ran two days ago and we ended up here," Niko said

"I'm sorry to hear that," I said. I saw Cody yawn and then looked at Ralph

"Why don't I show you guys to a room where you can get some rest," Ralph said

"Thank you mister but we should go we already have stayed past our welcome stay," Niko said

"Don't be silly stay, please," I said

"Okay thanks," Niko said

Ralph took them to a room on the second floor as I went to my room. Not a second later he returned to our room

"They're wonderful kids," I said

"Don't," he said as he hugged me from behind

"Don't what?" I asked

"Don't get attached to them tomorrow we have to call social services to come and collect these boys they can't stay here," he said and let me go

"But you heard them they only go to another abusive household why can't they just stay here?" I asked turning around and looking at him

"Because we just started our family we can't bring two strangers into our lives," Yelled at me

"You know what you're right who stupid was I to think we should let strangers into our house it's not like my family did it for me," I said as I grabbed his pillow

"That is different your their blood," Ralph said

"Yeah and if I wasn't I would have gone into foster care you know what I'm tired and I'm not going to fight with you so here you can go sleep in the kid's room again tonight," I said and stuffed a pillow and blanked into his arms as I push him out of the room

"Violet," he tried to say something else when I slammed the door in his face

(POV)

Violet went to bed angry and Ralph stormed out of the house and drove to his mother's house

Not one of them knew that the two kids heard everything and decided to take off as they left the house they got themselves into even more trouble

Turns out that their abusive foster father found them

What will happen next on Family's secret? Will Violet and Ralph find the two boys in time or will the two be too late...
