The answer

The news about Liang You Jin getting injured went up to Shu Jin.

"Dr. Liang, I'll take this case for you. Go see your son," one of her colleagues said.

Shu Jin thanked him and quickly went downstairs.

The ER doctors helped Liang You Jin stop the bleeding, but because a blade went past his chest and almost to his heart, he had to go through surgery.

Both Shu Jin and Jiang Nian wait outside the operating room. Soon, later Liang You JIn's father and brother came.

Liang Jun Ran sits next to his wife and tries to comfort her.

"He'll be alright. He still hasn't heard your answer yet." Liang Chen Yu said and gives Jiang Nian a comfortable smile.

Liang Chen Yu knows that his brother is strong and so he'll get through this.

Three hours later, the light closed and the doctors came out.

"How is he?" Jiang Nian asks.

"We helped him sew back the wound. Good thing that it didn't go through the heart or else we don't know what will happen. Right now the anesthesia is still not worn off yet, so he won't be awake yet."

Jiang Nian's heart finally felt relieved after hearing what the doctor have said.

"Shu Jin Ah Yi, you must be tired. Since I have a night shift today, I'll stay and take care of him."

Shu Jin knows that Jiang Nian is lying. Her shift ended a few hours ago.

"I promise I won't work over," Jiang Nian said to her.

Shu Jin nods. "We'll come tomorrow morning to take over."

Jiang Nian nods and said goodbye to them.

Inside the intensive care unit, Liang You Jin lays there peacefully. Jiang Nian walks up to him and sat there beside him.

She looks at him and holds his hand.

Jiang Nian feels her heart aching as she sees him like this. She have never seen him this injured before. She knows that being a soldier is his dream.

A tear drops from her face. She's really scared that one day he'll leave her. She still hasn't told him how she feels yet.

"Am I this handsome that you can't stop staring at me?" a weak voice said.

Jiang Nian wipes her tears and couldn't believe what she just heard.

"Liang You Jin?"

Liang You Jin slowly opens his eyes and looks at the young woman in front of him. Her eyes are red and she's holding his hand. His heart hurt while seeing her like that, but also felt warm up because she was holding his hand.

"I'm gonna get the doctor," Jiang Nian said, but before she could Liang You Jin takes her hand.

"Don't go. Stay here with me."

Jiang Nian looks at him, and slowly sat back down.

"Are you feeling anywhere in pain?" she asks him. She knows that after the anesthesia slowly wears off, the pain will come back.

Liang You Jin shakes her head.

The room is silent and both of them are just looking at each other like that. Jiang Nian kinda feels embarrassed. As she was about to get up, Liang You Jin holds her hand tighter.

"Did you see my message?" he asks her.

"You want to know my answer?" she asks him and looks into his eyes.

Liang You Jin nods and seriously looks at her.

"When I saw your message and till now after seeing you injured, my heart hasn't stopped beating this fast. I was worried that something will happen to you and leave me. At that moment, I really regret not telling you that I like you. I've never stopped liking you. Even the day you rejected me. So, Liang You Jin, once I give my heart to you, then you have to take responsibility. You can not leave me here worrying for you every day. You hear me?" she asks him with her eyes redden again.

Liang You Jin looks at her while wiping her tears.

"I'm sorry. I promise that I won't leave you alone." He holds out his arm to her and Jiang Nian went in his embrace.

"So, does that mean you're my girlfriend?" he whispers into her ear.

Jiang Nian's ear redden. "You don't want me to?"

"Of course not. I'm just happy." Liang You Jin who lays in the bed smiles while hugging her.

Liang Chen Yu who came to bring some changing clothes for Liang You Jin smiles through the window of the room. Finally, their mother won't have to rush him to find a girlfriend now. As he's about to leave, he noticed someone also standing there.

Liang Chen Yu recognized him. He's Jiang Nian's supervisor, Zhang Ruo Han.
