Here to keep promises

Two weeks later.

Liang You Jin's training extended for another week. Jiang Nian knows that Liang You Jin doesn't keep his promise so she didn't have any high hopes for it.

Jiang Nian went back to work and has been focusing on her work since.

"Dr. Jiang, there's a new patient for you." The nurse came in and tells Jiang Nian.

Jiang Nian eats her chocolate and walks out. "Coming!"

Jiang Nian walks into the V.I.P room and saw three soldiers standing there. One of them is the higher rank.

"Doctor! Come and please see why it's still bleeding?" The other soldier said.

Jiang Nian wears her glove and walks between them.

Liang You Jin sits there with his arm cuts. They both looked at each other, but Jiang Nian professionally checks his wound.

"How is it?" the senior soldier asks.

"It's not a big deal. Won't die yet." Jiang Nian said and sanitise the wound for him.

Senior soldier nods. "You Jin, I'll give you a three-day break to rest. Make sure to come back to train the newbies." He gives the order and left.

Liang You Jin gives her a look and then at his subordinate, Lu Nan. Lu Nan shifts back and walked out.

The room is now only left with them two.

"Done. Just make sure it doesn't touch the water when you shower." As she was about to leave, Liang You Jin stops her.

"When do you finish work today?" he asks her.

Jiang Nian turns and looks at him. "Why? Today I have night shift."

"How about tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow, the next day, and the next next day I won't be free." Jiang Nian said it without giving him a chance.

She walks out and Liang You Jin follows her.

"You're mad?" he asks.

"Why would I be mad? I know that our Captain Liang here is a busy person, of course, you won't have time for anything you promise."

Jiang Nian cleans her hand with hand sanitizer and walked to the nurse's front desk.

"There was a flood at one of the towns and we had to go and help." Liang You Jin explains to her.

Jiang Nian stops reading the patient's files and looked at him. "Then you should be going home to rest. I still have patient to go see."

But before she starts walking away, Liang You Jin pulls her to him. Their faces are like an inch away. The nurse who was sitting there all looked at them with admiring faces.

"What are you doing?" she asks him while stuttering her words.

"Do you know why I came here today?" he asks her while his eyes never leave her.

"Cause your arm got wounded?" she said.

Liang You Jin smirks and flings his hand on her forehead.

"Ouch, that hurts." Jiang Nian said while rubbing her forehead. Liang You Jin takes her hand and touches her forehead.

"Why are you so stupid? I came here to see you. I was gonna get a week off from this wound, but since you said it was not a big deal, I only get three days off now. Are you happy now?"

Jiang Nian looks at him. She never knew he would do something this childish. She smiles, "why do you want a week off?"

Liang You Jin really wants to see what her brain carries inside. "Of course to keep my promises or else someone will say I'm a lair."

Jiang Nian looks away.

"I really have to go." But Liang You Jin didn't allow her.

"So what is it? Do you have time?" he asks her again.

Jiang Nian didn't look at him. "I'll see."

Liang You Jin smiles and touches her nose. "I'll pick you up tomorrow." He then lets her go and walks away.

Jiang Nian looks at him as he walks away. "Liang You Jin, when did I promise you?"

The nurses stood there as they all looked at Jiang Nian. "Dr. Jiang, when did you have this of a handsome boyfriend."

"He's not my boyfriend." Jiang Nian then walks to see her patient.

Zhang Ruo Han stood there who saw the whole thing. He knows that he doesn't have a chance anymore and walks back to his office.
