YOU DO NOT BELONG HERE

Soon it was time for dinner. Everyone was at the dinning hall enjoying their meal. Except for a certain someone, who was not accoustomed to using chop sticks, as it was what everyone was used to since her father was a Chinese man. She could only sigh helplessly and continue trying to eat.

'Nicole, I think you might not be used to using chopsticks, would you like a set of cutleries? Phil who noticed this asked.

'Oh, yeah, sure, thanks. I would really love to use the cutleries instead. I'm not used to chopsticks back at home'

'My dear, I never knew you were struggling. Clara(she called the maid nearby) get Nicole a set of cutleries' Lucy said

'Yes ma'am' Clara answered

After some time, Phil said 'Nicole, tomorrow you will be starting school at Benison bears. Don't worry, it's not just you. Even Paula attends the same school so she can show you around and introduce you to some of her friends'. He said, glancing at Paula who clearly pretended as though it wasn't her they were referring to.

Nicole actually wasn't worried about the fact that there was no one to show her around, she was fine being alone than being with Paula and put up with her rude character both at home and in school. 'Don't worry dad, it's fine. I don't need someone to show me around, I can manage on my own'.

Phil noticed the tension in the sir and could only sigh in agreement. 'Alright have it your way then. I'll just speak to your principal beforehand'.

'Nicole if you don't mind, Paula can give you some clothes. After dinner you can follow her to her room. And please do not refuse'. Lucy said.

'Alright aunt Lucy, thanks for your concern'. Nicole said

'Wow, such a cute family they have'. Nicole said. Holding a portrait she saw in Paula's room about their family when they were much younger

'Get your filthy hands off this'. Paula said dragging the portrait from her. 'Our family is cute but that doesn't mean it needs your compliment or your presence to ruin our family. You know what? Just get out of our lives and family. You do not belong here'. Paula said

Nicole didn't react immediately cause she was shocked that Paula actually talked! Well not that she didn't know she could talk, but this was the first time she actually talked in front of her and so much words for that matter. Too bad they were harsh and she also wasn't holding back her tongue. Then she too wasn't going to hold back hers too

'Look Paula, you might have not liked me the moment I got here, or even before I arrived, maybe even the moment you knew I existed. However, I also do not like you ever since the moment you walked out on me. I knew you would be a pain in the ass. So I think the best thing for both of us is to stay away from each other, until I'm done with high school and leave your house. Can you do that? Nicole said

'I don't have to listen to anything you say, your the one who's supposed to obey me as it's my house. So stay away from me'. Paula said going around her as if giving her sign that the conversation is over and she should get out of her room.

'Whatever, Nicole said, rolling her eyes. I'm so sure that can happen because I don't see any reason to cross paths with you anyway'. She walked out of the room.

'Dear Ric, (Nicole typed on her laptop) how are you today. Well as for me, I just left California, I'm now in new York City about to finish my last year at high school. I'm actually with my dad and his family. They seem nice except for his daughter, who clearly hates me and maybe her mom who pretends as if I'm welcomed into her family. But I'm going to be fine, I assure you of that. I have to sleep now as I am going to begin my first day at Benison high. Good night Ric'. She ended it and instead of sending the email, she saved it as draft. A habit she had been used to ever since Ric stopped replying her messages
