FORTY-NINE

  Aleia’s pov

He was here, my father was here. I hurriedly wore my lipstick. Just a light nude color to bring out my face and make me look presentable. I pushed Theo away, telling him to go warm up the food while I welcome father.

He walked away grumbling about how he is a guest and I have turned him into a houseboy, I laughed at his cuteness.

I walked to the door, holding it open for my dad.

“Welcome dad,” I greeted with a wide smile.

“Yeah, I don’t know why we couldn’t have dinner at my place” he grumbled,

“Because we haven’t had dinner together since you got here, now stop complaining” I scolded him, he startled but otherwise maintained his peace.

  What a stubborn old man,

I led him to the dining table, pulling out a chair for him to sit.

“Where is the food?” he asked impatiently, I glared at him, placing a hand on my hip.

“I am sorry, did you have something better to do?” I stared him down, he gulped before shaking his head. That’s what I thought.
