The rain finally stopped pouring just in time when Lincoln arrived at his office. He was still in his jeans and normal shirt as he shoved people out of his way. A lot of things were going through his head. It even got worse when his mother greeted him right when he stepped inside the room.
"What happened to Tiffany?" Mrs. Sandoval immediately asked then rose from her seat.
Lincoln could not hide the pity in his eyes. By merely remembering how Tiffany broke down in his arms, he can't help but feel sorry for the lady. "You no longer have a grandchild to anticipate about," he so casually said before walking towards the swiveling chair.
His mother's forehead then creased upon hearing his words. She took a quick turn to face him, ready to throw hands at how uncaring he sounded. "How can you say that like it's no big deal?" Mrs. Sandoval's voice echoed throughout the four corners of the room.
