Kyon POV

At ten years old, Kyon already knew two things.

One, he didn’t want to be the pack Alpha. No way. Dane could be Alpha someday like everyone said he would be. Kyon could be his beta. If he were a beta, he could go off and sketch and paint and sculpt whenever he liked.

Two, he loved going to quiet places to make art, especially his most special secret place away from New Moon City and the endless chores and duties and training that went along with being a Cresta and the son of the Alpha and Luna of the Evenhide Pack.

There was a third thing he knew too, which was that he wanted to kiss red-haired rosy-cheeked studious Azandra Hemming, his and Dane’s best friend. But only if her mother wasn’t around. Or his brothers.
