Ever since that hallucinating evening, Frederick had become more active with his fatherly role. His sudden command to stop their roles as nannies caused some restlessness between the housekeepers. Not because their salary might be affected but because they were genuinely worried he would do the unthinkable.
For days to no end, it was pretty obvious his housekeepers would pretend and insist on being there to do some 'cleaning' of the hospital ward whenever Frederick wanted to bathe the baby.
Even though his ego was bruised, the villain too, played along with their little antics. Sometimes he would fill in the water bath and walk away, pretending he needed something from the room. And when he was ready, he knew one of his men had perfected the temperature.
Or the times when he struggled to change the baby's dirty nappy and received a golden shower from the inhumanely strong yet fragile baby, Maria would be there to distract the child from squirming too much.
