Confusion
Audrey stared at the blinking red dot in the corner of her room with a sense of negative familiarity and a hint of pensive sadness. The presence of the security camera installed in her room instantly awakened the old memories that she had been trying so hard to bury.
She sat silently in the dark of the windowless room, thinking about her past actions that might have led her captor to be this way. Had her straightforwardness caused the man to find her repulsive or was it plainly due to the similarity her son's attributes possessed with the Bloodsworth that caused the sudden change?
God knows if it was indeed a sudden change or in fact, he had hinted to her all this time and she missed it all out.
Her tired brown eyes took a quick sweep of the room, looking at the silhouette of the new items that were hastened to be part of her room's latest addition while missing the ones that had been abruptly pulled out.
