Rafael huffed and puffed down the bathroom in exasperation, throwing streams of insults and expressing how unbelievable the scenario is.
But the villain remained silent. Not because he agreed or enabled the friend to talk badly of Audrey. But because he knew if he were to partake in the one-sided argument, it will only get heated.
"I'm in a state of disbelief. How did it happen? What did SHE do that you got her pregnant?"
Frederick's ear became raw listening to all the useless questions, to the point he no longer felt relaxed in the bathtub. Suddenly he could feel the water in the tub cooled down and the pleasant music had turned into white noise as the ranting continued.
He silently stood up as he took a deep breath and pulled the plug. "Enough," he spoke just before the water from the showerhead sprinkled his face.
"Fine! I will stop if you would answer me this. What changed?"
