Dry leaves flew with the wind, generating a rustling sound, on the warm, sunny day. The forest was dense, and the greenery covered the earth. Except for the chattering and giggling sounds of two children, it was delightfully quiet.
The two kids sat on the soft grass beneath the shadow of the towering trees. By appearance, the boy seemed to be two to three years older than the girl.
"Really?" The girl asked. Her eyes widened in curiosity as she looked at the boy.
"Yes, Erza also said that the monster eats small kids," the boy added. He swayed his front hairs, impressed by himself for having more knowledge of the outside world than her.
The girl's mouth turned into 'O'. "Have you seen the monster?" She asked.
"Ah yes! But I saw him speaking with father. I was behind the wall and peeking at them. If he had tried to harm, I would have attacked back with my magical powers," he replied.
