" What are you going to do now Marco?" Mirajane asked

" Isn't it obvious. I'm going after Laxus. He's gone too far."

" Marco, all I ask is you don't kill him." freed begged

" He threatened to kill My woman and the others." Marco said before he felt a tugging on his sleeve. " Mira?"

" Don't." Mira said with a pleading look.

" Mira, don't look at me like that." Marco before finally crumbling. " Ughhh. Fine I'll just beat him badly then." Marco said much to the relief of everyone else. " Elfman take care of her while I'm gone."

" You got it bro." Elfman said with a grin with Marco returning one as well before leaving.

" Good luck Marco." Mira and Cana said

" Luck? He doesn't need it. He's a real man." Elfman said with a grin

" It's time for the final battle to begin." marco said as he rushed towards the church

Kardia kathedral

" Oh, hey mystogan. You actually showed up. Hahahaha I'm surprised you're here I didn't think this game would be of any interest to you." Laxus said

" If you bring down the Thunder palace now, we may be able to convince the citizens it was all part of the festival." Mystogan said

" Is that really why you came back? Give me a break. You're looking for a piece of the action, you want to know who the strongest wizard in fairy tail is. You or me." Laxus said

" Don't be so quick to rule out Erza or Marco." Mystogan replied

" Are you kidding me? Sure. the girl's got spunk but it is obvious we are stronger. Hell, I'd even say Marco is as strong as us. But Erza no way, She's still weak." Laxus taunted

" You think she's weak? You're either blind or more ignorant than I thought." Mystogan said

" Nothing against her, but I think we can both agree we're stronger. It's clear either you, me, or Marco are the strongest wizard in fairy tail the question is who deserves the title."

" If you see the world in such simple terms, perhaps you are blind." Mystogan said

" I'm sick of talking about it. Let's settle this here and now "Mystogan" Or should I say." Laxus began before mystogan attacked him. The two wizards each sending a blast at the other their attack canceling each other out creating a massive explosion that shattered the glass of the church, alerting the remaining fighters to their location.

" Tell me, how do you know about that." Mystogan asked

" Oops did I strike a nerve? It's a rare treat to see you lose your cool like that. How about I make a deal with ya, beat me and I swear I'll tell you everything I know." Laxus taunted

" You're going to regret that statement Laxus. You're about to witness magic the likes of which you've never seen before." Mystogan said slamming his staff into the ground

" Oh, I'm so scared. Go on and show me what you got you freak. I'm dying to see how much stronger i am." Laxus yelled

" SKYSCRAPER!" Mystogan said as he planted all of his staffs into the ground. The entire church being swallowed in a beam of light launching laxus into the air.

" What happened? Impossible the entire church." Laxus yelled as he was launched into the sky. Laxus appeared in a dark void, as a creature began tearing a whole in space. Laxus suddenly found himself trapped in place by a black cord wrapping its. " What kind of magic is this?" Laxus asked in terror

" RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!" The demon yelled as it reached out for laxus

" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Laxus yelled in terror frantically thrashing around using his lightning to try and avoid the creature, before he finally broke free, revealing it had all been an illusion. " Hahahaha! Now that's funny. You seriously think you can beat me using some kind of stupid illusion?" Laxus yelled

" Impressive, but it seems you're still a bit slow on the up take." Mystogan said as 5 magic circles appeared above laxus

"What?" Laxus asked

" SLEEP! FIVE-LAYERED MAGIC CIRCLE SACRED SONG!" Mystogan said

" You think I'm the slow one huh?" Laxus said as his own magic circle appeared under mystogan

" No!" Mystogan said as he and laxus were both hit by the attacks.

" Hahahahaha!" Laxus laughed

" Ughhhhh!" Mystogan grunted

Mystogan recovered from the attack and floated into the air bringing his fingers together and attacking laxus again. Laxus saw the attack and turned into lightning to dodge it.

" He slipped through." Mystogan said as a bolt of lightning crashed into him.

Laxus returned to the ground as mystogan turned into smoke also landing on the ground.

" So, here you are." Natsu and Erza said as they arrived

" Erza!" Natsu said

" So, you made it out of there great." Erza said in delight

But a noise suddenly drew their attention as Marco landed near them.

" Marco!" Natsu yelled.

" Pay attention natsu now isn't the time.' Marco said

" You're wide open." Laxus yelled as he attacked mystogan, blowing off his face cover.

" Jellal?" Erza asked

" What the!" Natsu and marco asked

" You're still alive?" Erza asked

" Oh, so you know this guy." Laxus said

" Jellal I." Erza started

" Erza please forgive me, I was afraid you'd see this. I'm not your friend jellal. I do know of him, but I'm not him. I'm sorry I must be going." Mystogan said before leaving.

" Well, there goes that help." Marco said

" Hey, wait up! uh well that made my brain hurt. I can't think about it right now. All right pal it's you against me. I'm gonna take care of this clown that cool with you guys." Natsu asked before seeing Erza and marco.

Erza distracted by Mystogan. And Marco and Laxus staring each other down.

" Erza watch out!" Marco yelled before the woman was violently electrocuted.

" AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Erza yelled as electrity flowed through her body.

" That's quite a face you're making there girlie. Ugly." Laxus taunted as he blasted erza away.

" That's enough! I told you you're mine you jerk. Let's go." natsu said to laxus

" Hey, didn't even notice you." Laxus taunted

" Eh! Oh, you're about to notice me pal." Natsu said before raising his hand in fire.

Laxus took off his earphones and his coat and began to fight natsu, as marco checked on erza.

" You alright Erza?"

" I'm fine. I just need a minute to compose myself then I'll help you fight laxus."

" No, I need you to take care of something else for me."

" What?"

" I need you to find the others have them help you destroy those orbs in the sky. Leave laxus to us."

" But Marco."

" No time for that now Erza, now Go!" Marco yelled to erza as he joined natsu in battle. Natsu thankful to have some help as he was getting his ass beat bad.

" Didn't anyone ever tell ya, you gotta think before you act. NOW GET LOST RUNT." Laxus yelled

" If the boy's no fun, how about you try me." Marco yelled as he blindsided laxus knocking down into the ground below.

" Mouthy little punk!" Laxus yelled as he got back up and as he and marco charged each other.

" Let's see what you got Laxus." Marco yelled as he and laxus attacked each other viciously. Pummeling each other. Each blow more intense than the last.

" FIRE DRAGON TALON!" Natsu yelled as he kicked laxus over the head not even fazing the man.

" Natsu! Move. Now!" Marco yelled as Laxus caught him with an uppercut follow by another blow to his face that knocked him to the ground.

" RAAAAAAAAH!" Laxus yelled as he divebombed Marco slamming his knee into the man's chest. Laxus then proceeded to punch the man through the walls of the church.

" MARCO!" Natsu yelled as he watched his friend get sent flying.

" Are you really going to drop your guard too?" Laxus asked as he appeared behind Natsu and slapped him away.

" Damn you laxus."

" Less than a minute 30 seconds until the thunder palace is activated. You're too late natsu.

" Oh yeah, we'll see." Natsu says as he attacks laxus

" You doubt me." Laxus says as he again punches away natsu.

When suddenly the runes carrying the activation timer for the thunder palace disappeared.

" You see? Told you it wouldn't work." natsu taunts. " Weren't you saying something about our guild needing to change? That's funny, I don't see anything that needs changing. It looks like everbody's getting along just fine to me. How do you expect to become our master if you can't get along with the rest of us?" Natsu asked

" RAAAAAAAAAAH! I'LL TAKE FAIRY TAIL BY FORCE IF I HAVE TO. IT'S MINE!" Laxus roared

" I think it's about time you give up the fight. You're not taking over fairy tail, cuz I'm not gonna let that happen." Natsu yelled

" Oh yeah? You don't know who you're messing with. I'm a lot stronger than any of you ever dreamed. i could take over the guild by force anytime i want. And YOU'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO STOP ME. YA BEST BET IS TO JUST GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Laxus yelled

" It sounds like you're just begging for someone to knock you down a few notches. FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!" Natsu yelled as he punched laxus in the face

" That all you got!?" Laxus yelled as he blasted natsu away. " You're gonna have to do a whole lot more than that! I've got more power than you in my little finger!" Laxus yelled as he and natsu attacked each other. Laxus once again overpowering him.

" Damn! He hit me hard, I dropped my guard and I paid for it." Marco said recovering himself from the rubble he was trapped in. " Alright! Let's go ugh!" Marco said as he collapsed. ' Oh no My injuries from the bird they're aggravating again. My flames can only heal so much of the damage done by those creatures.' Marco thought as grabbed his sides in pain.

back to the church

" Man, I don't understand this he's so strong." Natsu said

" Can you feel the electric energy of the lightning I've summoned forth?" Laxus asked as he held his hand up and gathered a large amount of lightning.

" What the heck? I can't move a muscle." Natsu said

" It will plumet from the heavens and turn you into ash. RAGING BOLT!" Laxus yelled as he drove the lightning down on natsu. " HEhehahaha! So, who's the most powerful wizard in our guild now? HAHAHAHA! Guess you can't answer that question since you've been turned to dust!" Laxus yelled

[Power unleashed]

" That's no way to treat one of your comrades. Only a nutjob like you would be so giddy about taking down one of his friends. Thankfully i got to him before you did. i wanna be the one to take this kid out." Gajeel said

" Gajeel." natsu mumbled

" I have another challenger. HAhahaha! You'll all end up dead soon anyway. Anybody who dares stand in my way will be eliminated." Laxus said

" Let me take care of Laxus ok? you stay out of this." Natsu said

" No deal I've got a score to settle with that punk. This guy's not messing around he's a real monster. You can tell he's got makarovs blood running through him. It sucks, but we're gonna have to fight him as a team. You and me." Gajeel said

" AIN'T NO WAY I'M GONNA TAKE LAXUS DOWN ON MY OWN! BESIDES I'D NEVER TEAM UP WITH A GOON LIKE YOU SO STAY OUT OF THIS!" Natsu yelled

" Just look at him. Is that the same guy you remember?" Gajeel asked as he and natsu looked at laxus

" What's the matter? You scared? You should be." Laxus said as lightning danced around his body. His eyes raging with lightning.

" As far as I can tell that's an enemy. If we wanna save the guild we gotta stop him right here and now. Everyone else has either been knocked out by another member or has been zapped by his thunder palace. Don't you get it? We're the only ones left who can stop him." Gajeel said

" Since when are you so pro fairy tail?" Natsu asked

" I can protect or destroy whatever the hell I want to." Gajeel said

" I thought you said, " That the sky isn't big enough for two dragons?" Natsu asked

" Yeah, that's true. but there ain't no dragons flying in the sky now. Not with all this lightning." Gajeel said

" Just to be clear, this is the only time I'm teaming up with you." natsu said

" Trust me this isn't fun for me either, we'll fight it out someday." Gajeel said

" LET'S DO THIS!" They both yell in unison before rushing Laxus

" Argh! rahhh, yaaa! They both grunt as they trade blows with Laxus

" RRRRR!" Laxus growls as he blasts natsu with lightning knocking the boy back. Gajeel catches natsu in midair and spins him around

" Use your breath!" Gajeel yells.

" FIREDRAGON ROAR!" Natsu yells as flames erupt from his mouth

" IRON DRAGON CLUB!" Gajeel yells as his iron mixes with natsus fire. Laxus dodges the attack and fly's over gajeels head. " IRON DRAGON SWORD!" Gajeel yells as his leg turns into a sword that he uses to attack laxus. Laxus dodges the attack and send multiple balls of lightning at gajeel which blow the man back.

" FIRE DRAGON BRILLIANT BLAZE!" Natsu yells as he appears behind Laxus and blows him away.

"ARHHHH!" Laxus yells in pain

" ARRHHHHHHH! IRON DRAGON LANCE: DEMON BOMB!" Gajeel yells as his arm turns into a lance and bombards Laxus with multiple projectiles.

" FIRE DRAGON!"

" IRON DRAGON!"

" ROAAAAAAAAAAR!" The dragon slayers yell as they both launch their breath attacks at laxus causing a massive explosion.

" Don't tell me that's the best the two of you could do. Neither of you deserve the title dragon slayer." Laxus says as he gets up unfazed

" What the heck, he doesn't even have a scratch on him." Natsu said

" But how? I don't get it, I know he's strong and all, but we whipped out a ton of dragon slayer magic on him. How is he still standing?" Gajeel asked in shock

" I'll let you guys in on a little secret. I haven't told anyone about this because I really hate the old man's lectures, but I guess i can trust the two of you." Laxus says as his fangs grow, his shirt tears, and his body becomes large and full of dragon scales. " URrrrrrrgh! RAAAAAAAAAAH!" Laxus yells as lightning bursts from his body.

" You've gotta be kidding me1" Natsu said

" No way!" Gajeel also replied

" LIGHTNING DRAGON!" Laxus said

" I had no idea laxus was a dragon slayer too!" Natsu says in shock

" PHOENIX!"

" ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAR!" Laxus and Marco who has rejoined the battle both yelled. Their combined attack creating a massive explosion in the church, blowing both natsu and gajeel away. Their breaths clashing with each other fiercely. until finally a massive hole was blow through the roof of the church.

Once the dust cleared There was only two wizards standing.

" So, you made it back. I thought you'd kill over out there." Laxus taunted

" I don't break easy punk." Marco said

" You three losers. Erza and mystogan. The old geezer. Those weaklings in fairy tail. And the pathetic people of magnolia. YOUR TIME IS OVER NOOOOOW!" Laxus yelled and flared his magic energy. Marco did the same thing ready to counterattack.

" This feels familiar. Like one of gramps spells." Natsu said

" This guy's insane. He's trying to cast makarovs ultimate judgement spell. It will target anyone the user sees as an enemy." Gajeel said in terror.

" HAhAhaha! That's right metal head, I've mastered the fairy law spell." Laxus said

" That's the same spell that defeated master jose. No!" Gajeel said

" Laxus, what are you thinking? Don't do this!" Natsu yelled.

Marco seeing the fear in his friends quickly covered them all in a ball of his flames to protect them.

" This won't hold marco." Natsu said

" It's better than taking that damned attack head on!" Marco yelled

" RRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Laxus roared as he charged fairy law

" LAXUS! STOP!' Levy yelled

" Levy!?" Natsu and marco asked in shock

" You Idiot what are you doing here?" Gajeel asked

" You gotta see the master he doesn't have much time." Levy said. " Master Makarov, no Your grandfather is close to death. Stop this now go see him one last time. Hurry before it's too late."

" No way, the master is going to die!" Marco said

" No way gramps is dying!" Natsu said

" Please Laxus!" Levy yelled

" This is working out perfectly for me. Now that the old man is on deaths door, I have an even better chance at becoming fairy tails new master." Laxus said

" Damn you!" Gajeel said

" This will be the dawn of a new era for fairy tail. I'll rebuild everything from the ground up. I'll form the ultimate guild; one so powerful all will tremble in our name!" Laxus yelled

" You can't do this. Don't you even care about gramps at all." Natsu yelled

" FAIRY LAW!" Laxus yelled. As he cast the spell Marco used his flames to cover everyone in the room in an attempt to protect them from the oncoming attack.
