Li Jie lied down in the middle of Jian Tang and Li Feng. If he was honest he didn't feel the most comfortable sleeping beside people. But Jian Tang's worried words soon made him sleep soundly only to wake in the morning. He found his mother missing while Li Feng was getting ready for office wearing a suit.
"Get up, your mother is waiting for you on the breakfast table." Li Jie frowned seeing Li Feng but got up wiping his eyes and webt to his room to freshen up.
At the breakfast table the three in Li family were seated but this time. The servants were weirdly silent today while Jian Tang's whole attention was on her son. Seeing this Li Feng frowned but he didn't stop Jian Tang's spoiling. He chose a roundabout way to do it.
"Li Jie, is coming with me to the office from today onwards you will be helping the assistants like other interns." Li Feng spoke solemnly not giving any opening to refusal. Jian Tang look at her husband and nodded, leaving the silver haired confused for a moment not knowing what his parents were cooking. But he still answered
"Okay, I will get ready." Li Jie got up from his seat and went upstairs even though Jian Tang scolded him for not finishing his meal.
"Is this okay now? I promised you when we got married no one except our child will be the next heir." Li Feng asked his wife after Li Jie was out of his sight and kissed her hand intertwining their fingers. Jian Tang nodded but she was still worried if Li Jie would work under pressure. At the same time even if he worked his was his performance going to be upto Li Feng's standards? Li Feng saw the tension in her eyes but didn't say anything as even he was clear, if Li Jie wasn't appropriate to be the heir of Li family's company he will be the first to replace Li Jie with someone else not caring about the blood relation. But even if Li Jie wasn't the heir he would still leave him with enough money and position to live for the rest of his life in peace, so he couldn't understand Jian Tang's worry.
As their breakfast was at its end Li Jie walked down wearing a white shirt layered with a hoodie and blue pants. This look wasn't the most professional but he was going as an intern to the assistant department or maybe for the lowest position in the whole company.
"You are ready! Let's go then." Li Feng got up and kissed Jian Tang on her chicks leaving towards the car standing outside the door. Li Jie followed Li Feng right behind getting inside the car. He waved at Jian Tang happily but his heart was anything but happy. Who would have known that even as a wealthy young master he had to work.
The car started moving on the road towards the Li company's headquarters. On the front seat was the driver and Li Feng's secretary Tang. Li Jie nodded and smiled at secretary Tang who also greeted him with politeness.
Secretary Tang couldn't understand why the Ceo would bring his troublesome son to the company but in front of his boss he kept quiet. Worrying about the overtime he might have to pull to in future to correct this spoiled young master's mess.
Li Feng saw the intentions in secretary Tang's eyes. "Li Jie will be working under you from today onwards as an intern."
Secretary Tang hesitated knowing fully well Li Feng was dumping his son onto him. "Sir, how can a young master work under me?" Secretary Tang finally found the excuse.
"Yeah, right!" Li Feng thought for a moment turning towards his son. "From today you are secretary Tang's nephew in the company. Call him uncle Tang from now on. And please don't call me anything cause an intern doesn't need to get close to the Ceo."
Li Jie smiled knowingly and cheekly called secretary Tang 'Uncle Tang'. Secretary Tang looked frozen but he couldn't accept this nephew in his heart. 'His brother and sisters were still in their 20s for god sake.'
_______
Secretary Tang walked Li Jie to the secretary department introducing him as the new intern and his 'blood related nephew'.
"Meet him. He is secretary Qin Zian. He is your senior and has been working in our company since he graduated from University T five years ago. And beside him is the best employee of the month, secretary Long Zongying." Li Jie greeted Qin Zian and other employees.
"Hello, senior brother Qin Zian and senior sister Long Zongying. My name is Li Jie. I will be in your care in future."
"Hello, Li Jie." Qin Zian didn't mind Li Jie's presence but felt a little angry at balant nepotism shown by secretary Tang. While Long Zongying thought of this as an opportunity to gain a favour from the legendary secretary Tang. Not to mention she was quite happy with Li Jie's face which clearly looked like ex-movie queen Jian Tang.
Next secretary Tang introduced him to the interns. At the same time secretary Tang was in quite the shock with how polite and patient Li Jie was the whole time. 'Did the young master matured without him knowing?'
"These are currently three interns." Secretary Tang maintained his professionalism despite his thoughts. "Meet Mr Gao Peng next to him is miss Ren Shuang and miss Yu Qiao all three of them are
currently in the last year of his bachelor's. If you need any help you can ask these seniors."
"Hello seniors." Li Jie greeted the three of them. Afterwards he was assigned to Qin Zian to follow around by secretary Tang.
"How old are you? Which university are you in?" Qin Zian's voice was clearly cold and Li Jie understood the reason behind it. He saw Long Zongying smiling at him sweetly and he returned it back.
"Senior Qin, I am 18 years old this year. I have given the national college entrance examination and I am from the No.2 high school in the city." Qin Zian didn't look pleased hearing this. People worked their asses off to enter the Li-cooperation but secretary Tang gave the undeserving nephew this opportunity he could deal with. And what a high school student who didn't even have basic knowledge was going to do in their department. Qin Zian looked at the other interns, making them shiver and run away to complete their pending works leaving Li Jie standing alone.
But Qin Zian didn't seem interested in giving him anything to do. So Li Jie grabbed a seat and sat down helping others to run errands or make copies of certain documents. Never to see Qin Zian in the office anymore. Li Jie felt lost as everyone seemed to be busy but at the same time he didn't care.
It was soon lunch break for the employees but he never packed one. Li Jie fiddled with his phone not understanding if he should message Li Feng or secretary Tang.
To his surprise his father's message came soon.
