Chapter 5

Who knew going to the mall could be so stressful, gosh everything hurts and the worst part is, we haven't gotten anything yet. Since we arrived here 2 hours ago, Cass has been picking and tossing things around especially the ones she didn't like.

I wasnt a big fan of shopping as it takes time so I ask a friend of mine who's really good in fashion to be helping me change my wardrobe every year at least but she insisted to do it every 6 months and boy let me tell you, she's very difficult to convince.

I was still in my thoughts when Cass gave me a nudge

"Hey, I've been talking to you since, what do you think about this dress, really nice huh?" she asked holding a royal blue knee length body con dress.

"Yeah its kinda cute but it doesn't look like your size Cass, its too small" I said eyeing the dress.

"Oh no hunny its for you, this is what you're going to wear for that date, here try it on" she tossed the dress to me while pushing me to the dressing room.

The fact that the dress showed a lot of cleavage and it was so tight, I felt very uncomfortable in it. I mean I wear these things but I've literally lost all my enthusiasm to look good for this date, I don't even know his freaking name.

"Umm...I'm sure we got the wrong dress Cass its too fancy for a date with someone I don't know" I tried to convince her.

"No Tee this is perfect, please take it, pleeease"

" OK fine I'll take it" she clapped her hands while jumping and shouting.

After shopping for God knows what Cass wanted, we got really hungry and decided to branch by the restaurants in the mall and search for something to eat.

My eye spotted the burger king stand and my legs started to move on their own towards it, I wasn't even looking at where I was going till I bumped into someone while my bags scattered on the floor.

"I'm so sorry, its all my fault" we both said at the same time. I looked up to see the person and my eyes just glued to his, he looked very cute. Damn you fine man, now I can't lash out on you. My mind kept on talking its rubbish as I noticed his mouth has been moving since.

"Hellooo, is there something wrong with my face?" He asked with a smirk on his face. I had to stop admiring how handsome he was and answer him before he thinks I'm weird.

"Umm...I'm really sorry for bumping into you like that, I wasn't watching sorry about that" I said while still looking at his eyes. There was just something about his eyes I couldn't look away.

"Its fine here are your stuff, I'm so sorry about that" he said while handing me my things, I had no idea he had already picked my things from the floor. I whispered a thank you.

"It was really nice to meet you but I really have to get going, I hope I see you again" I gave a smile while he walked away in a hurry. I turned and saw Cass already coming towards me with our order packed away.

We quietly walked to the car and drove home after picking up our grocery for the week. I was glad she didn't mention anything about what happened at the mall.

After unpacking our things, I headed to my room to freshen up. When I came down, Cass was already done and and was sitting on the couch in the living room holding our food.

I joined her on the couch as she handed me my burger and fries. I started eating while staring at whatever was happening on the tv but I couldn't stop thinking about those beautiful brown eyes, I couldn't lie he was really handsome.

Cass shifted uncomfortably on the couch, I was surprised she hadn't said anything about what happened at the mall and I knew she wanted to ask.

"Cass, you don't have to pretend you did not see anything at the mall, I know it's killing you to ask" I said while turning fully to face her. She heaved a sigh of relief and crossed her leg to face me.

"You dont know how long I've been holding that" she said looking at me.

" I know"

"What was that all about?" She asked

"What was what? I don't know what you're talking about Cass" I said casually, trying to make her drop the topic.

"Dont pretend you don't know, that very handsome man you we're talking to at the mall" she said raising her eyebrows up and down.

"Oh that, I bumped into him unknowingly and he apologized that's all" I said throwing some fries in my mouth.

"Was that really it, cuz you we're starring at him as if he was some really good candy" she raised a brow at me

"He had really beautiful eyes" I pointed out.

"Is that it?"

"Please Cass let's end this here, can I just eat in peace?, it was really nothing and I probably will never see him again"

"Fine, fine I'll stop, but you're no fun though, you didn't even get his name or his phone number" I glared at her

"Sorry" she said while zipping her mouth and facing the tv

"How long will you be staying?" I turned to ask her.

"Oh I just took an excuse from work I'll be gone by Saturday"

" you didn't have to leave your work all because of me you know" I looked at her with a sad face

"Can you just let me eat my food and watch this amazing movie? Gosh Tee you're such a drama queen always making everything about you" she rolled her eyes

"And I still love your sorry ass" we both laughed while we ate our food and finally focused on what was happening on the tv.
