Third Floor (II)

The next day, I made my way to the library as early as I could along with the rest of our group. Just like me, Jira, Misa, and Azui also had Lightning-type Chakra nature, while Mira had Water-type Chakra nature and as for Zumo… He hit the jackpot. Even though his parents were civilians, somehow he turned out to have Storm Release. No! I wasn't jealous of him! Not in the slightest!

The library was divided into five sections- Lightning, Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire. The Fire and Wind sections of the library were mostly empty since Fire-type and Wind-type Chakra nature were extremely rare in Kumo. Even Earth-type Chakra nature was rare in Kumo, but it was still more common than both Fire-type and Water-type Chakra natures.

After inspecting the Lightning section of the library, I decided to grab two Jutsu scrolls that seemed the most interesting to me… While we were free to grab all of them, we could only take two of them with us for a month. After that, we would have to return the scrolls to the library regardless of the fact if we managed to learn the Jutsu within the span of a month or not so that the others could borrow those scrolls.

Though we were free to copy the Jutsu scrolls if we felt like it…

"What did you get?" Misa asked me as the two of us made our way toward an empty table. I am glad that I decided to make friends, instead of taking the edge-lord route. After all, we could always exchange the Jutsu scrolls among ourselves, which meant I had access to 10 D Rank Jutsu scrolls if I counted myself and Zumo. After all, having Storm Release didn't mean he couldn't learn basic Lightning Jutsus.

"I got Static Bolt and Thunder Binding" I answered as I raised the scrolls for her to see. While I could have grabbed two offensive Jutsus, I realized that none of my friends were going to grab the Thunder Binding, so I decided to grab it, and as for offensive Jutsus, I could always borrow scrolls from my friends. "What did you get?" I asked in return.

"I got Lightning Surge and Thunder Saber" Misa answered with a grin. The two sat down and decided to wait for the rest to arrive.

"Would you mind if I borrowed them for a day?" I asked in a hopeful tone.

"Only if you let me borrow yours" She answered back with a smirk and I simply gave her an excited nod. Azui was the first one to arrive and noticing our questioning look, he answered our unasked question as he sat down.

"Raging Thunder and Lightning Clone Technique" Azui answered and I internally nodded my head in satisfaction. I wanted to grab the Lightning Clone Technique myself, but I decided to skip it as I knew someone else from our group was going to grab it. While the Lightning Clone Technique wasn't anywhere as good as the Shadow Clone Technique, it was much better than the basic Clone Technique.

After some time, Mira also arrived at our table, looking meek and nervous as always. "What did you get?" I asked. She was the only one in our group who didn't have Lightning-type Chakra nature, so she was starting to feel out of place.

"Hiding in the Water Technique and Sword of Draining" She meekly answered, but as soon as she finished speaking, Jira and Zumo also arrived at the table. Without wasting any time, Misa asked them what they got.

"I got the Current Transfer Technique and Static Force" Jira answered giddily.

"I got the Electron Technique and Water Shot Technique" Zumo answered and I turned toward Mira to give her a smile.

"Well, you are the only one with Water Technique" I said in a teasing tone, making her blush, and thankfully, Zumo wasn't as arrogant as the kids from some of the clans, so he smiled at her before he promised to help her. Mira seemed to perk at his words before throwing him a grateful look. Maybe, I should give the Water Jutsus a try too… While I had Lightning-type Chakra nature, it didn't mean it was impossible for me to use Water Jutsus.

I would simply have to put a lot more effort if I wanted to learn Water Jutsus… After all, Sarutobi Hiruzen was most definitely not born with all five Chakra natures, but he worked hard enough to master all of them, which earned him the title of 'The Professor'. It was the same for Kakashi Hatake… Originally, he was born with Lightning-type Chakra nature, but he could use all the elements pretty easily, earning him the title of 'Copy Ninja Kakashi'.

Yes, the Sharingan might have helped him, but still he had to work for it…

"Uhh… So, do you guys want to visit the training room?" I asked in an excited tone. I knew all of us were excited to try the new Jutsus. There was no way we were going to be able to learn the Jutsus in one day, nonetheless, we were still quite excited.

"Sure, but after we get something to eat. I am starving!" Jira whined before all of a sudden her stomach rumbled, which made her face light up like a christmas tree. The rest of us burst out laughing at her, much to her embarrassment and annoyance before we finally agreed to get something to eat. After having a hearty breakfast, we made our way to one of the empty training rooms.

Since it was still early in the morning, all the training rooms were completely empty. Since it was only yesterday we arrived on the 3rd floor, everyone was taking it easy for the day and the instructors didn't seem to be bothered by that as they might have decided to cut up some slack before they could start training us earnestly. Besides Kanpeki and his assistant, there were four more instructors on this floor…
