A Deal with Whom?(Red Windsor is chev's kizzez)

"Ahh, don't worry little one." Smiling as always, the god poorly reassured. "I won't ask for much from you." 'Since I'd had gotten so much from you already.' Thought the devious god.

"What can I give you?" Asked the boy, worried about the cost.

"Hmmmm. Hrrrr." Hming and hrring for some time, the god thought deeply. "Aha!" The god jumped, a thought, like lighting in his mind.

Shiny teeth and sharp eyes, the god said, "I would like… this." The god pointed at the boy's ruby red eyes.

The ruby eyes widened. "My… eyes?" The god nodded, their gray hair almost undoing from its bun.

"Yes. It is quite rare to see one around these parts, you see." Undoing his hands from each other, the boy touched the area around his eyes.

He didn't need these eyes, did he? They were what made him a curse. "I can deal with that." The god's nodding stopped. The edges of their lips twitching. "But…" The god smiled full force. "I will like to keep them until my wish is fulfilled." The smile dropped.

Hastily, the god scrambled to say something. "Well, no need for such things, I'll just pluck it out of you when you die." There was no need to get it now, the god had all the time in the changing world. Done well in fixing the holes, the god patted themself on the back.

"Oh. Why thank you." Replied the unknowing boy. Quite surprised at the god's 'kindness.'

"You're welcome. Now, onto the topic of what I was talking about before…" The holy being's right hand held a floating orb of bright light. This time, the boy moves closer. The orb and the boy met, glowing light to forehead. "This will help you on the path to becoming a great general." The sly god they were.

The boy began to see strange things. Letters floating in the air and running through his mind. "Wh-what is this?" He gestured, the floating letters and flowing words.

The sly, sly god spoke. "It is something that'll help you greatly on your journey." Curling their hands together, the god continued. "You may not know it now, but soon you'll learn to use this." Their wings flapped.

"Now, now. We should get going now. The faster the head start to your goal, the better. Don't you know that the younger you are the greater your achievements?" The boy was still stunned and confused. But the god paid no heed.

Flapping their wings, the god rose, their wings almost spanning the size of the disorganized room. Slowly their form melted away again, replaced by the golden-haired being from before. Touching the single, stained window in the room, the god hummed. "My, they've done a fair share. Quite meticulous in fact."

A barrier, a magical barrier to be specific. Lining the room and coating the windows and doors. Multiple layers of barriers against Dark Magic. Light Magic and reinforced walls. Even if the boy wanted to escape, there would be no way.

But in the end, it was no match for a god. The gold god flared their wings. Slowly, cracks began to appear in the stained window. Then, multiple sounds of shattering filled the room. The barriers were being broken one by one.

The boy looked on, momentarily shaken out of his confused state, he stares at the figure that would bring him escape. Not freedom, maybe never freedom. But the boy does not think such things, for his small world would grow. Tens and thousands more than it was, ever, to be.

The beautiful stained window shattered. Glass fell like rain, shining in the brightness of two suns. Gold laughed. "Take my hand, boy. I will bring you to the edges of this sad city." Still, in the air, the god lowered his hand to the boy.

Before taking his hand, the boy asked a question. "Thank you, Solis, for doing this for me. But why would you do so much for a pair of my eyes?" The boy couldn't understand. Why would a god do so much for a pair of eyes that could be taken anytime? Innocent the boy was, he didn't understand that the golden god had taken much more.

Smile on their face they spoke. "I was bored." It was the truth.

The boy took the eternal god's hand. The instant he took their hand, he felt like he was weightless.

Lifting the boy with Wind Magic, the god asks. "Child. Tell me your name. Must have flown out of my mind, though I pride myself in courtesy." Snickers the flippant god.

An unused smile on the boy's face, he answers. "My name is Jerarme. Jerarme de Selfine." The one good thing he had overheard from the people in the mansion.

The world spun past them, the iridescent glow of gold filled their surroundings. "What a name! A gift from God!" The knowing god cackles. "Since it seems it was meant to be, I'll give you a gift!"

The flapping of wings and the glowing of the world. The God gives Jerarme a gift.

[Appraisal Received!]

The message rings, Jerarme flinches at the unknown. "Wha-what?"

"Don't worry too much, it's something useful, you can't really get it right now, So I thought to gift it to you." Solis laughs. "Until we meet again, Jerarme."

There is the falling of holy feathers and a boy, both covered in the glow of gold. Jerarme screams silently.

He lands softly, wind cushioning his fall. On a dirt trail, overlooking the sad city of his home that never was. There he lays, for the first time, on the earth. Looking at the sky for the first time without the stains of colored glass. There is wispy clouds in the sky, like the dreams he dreams when there was none in his world.

The boy wants to cry, but he doesn't know why. He is not sad, but happy. Then why does he wish to weep when he is free?

The dirt smells like earth and the trees look like masterpieces of the beautiful world. There is sounds unlike he has ever heard, the chirping of forest birds that ring clear in the open sky.

Jerarme cries.

————

A rushing of footsteps, the cry of a frantic maid. "Lord and Lady Selfine!" The desperateness of a maniac. "The Sealed Room's barriers have been broken!"

"What!" The Lord and Lady, having a meal in the spacious dining room exclaimed. "No! That can't be! We had secured the best barriers to keep it contained!" Horror painting the features of both of them.

The plates of unfinished food and intricate silverware discarded, the two rushed towards the Sealed Room in alarm.

Hurried steps rang the corridors, passing by the working servants. Manners, forgotten at the dining room. Reaching the Sealed Room, Lord Selfine took the key from the maid and unlocked the door. Slowly, the door creaked open, showing the disarray of the room.

"W-what is that?" Ignoring all the mess, Lady Selfine's focus was one thing.

The intact glass of a bird, complete unlike any of the other pieces. The feathers of gold littering the little land.

"Solis." Tears gathered at the corners of Jeanne's eyes. "Solis had heard our prayers! Solis had taken away the evil of our house!" Joy like any other on Jeanne's face. She turned towards Diamen, his hands trembling.

"Jeanne, we're free. We're free!" Diamen's arms reached out to embrace Jeanne. Jeanne hugged him back. Smiles on both their faces.

"It's a new life, Jeanne." Diamen whispers with disbelief. "Our new life, Diamen" Jeanne whispers back, tears overflowing.

At that moment, the broken family cries in joy.

Oh damnnn, I remember listening to this one artist all throughout writing all the chaps for this work. She was Hako Yamasaki, her stuff is really good 10/10.

No lie, I think I barely edited anything to these chaps, so point out some stuff if y'all catch.
