CHAPTER 660: I Don't Like Kill and Murder

Apart from gathering mystical yin aura, the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester could also function as a demonic formation with immense destructive power. When Han Shuo entered the centre of the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester, he discovered that this place was also full of deadly dangers. Therefore, it wasn't unreasonable for them to believe that Han Shuo and the others had died the moment they disappeared from sight.

"Bryan, they really can't see us! What is going on here?" Li Wei exclaimed quietly. She was astonished.

Donna and the others also stared at Han Shuo with confused faces, waiting for his answer.

"This place has patterns. If you pay attention to your surroundings, you will discover that there are patterns all around you!" Han Shuo explained without thinking the matter through, his eyes fixed on Olde and his men.

"What patterns? It's just a few mountains. I don't see any pattern!" Li Wei said somewhat sceptically.

Han Shuo turned around and smiled calmly. He pointed in Olde's direction and explained, "If you look closely, you'll see that the mist floating through the air is actually drifting rhythmically around the mountains, and there's..."

Han Shuo knew a few things about the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester and randomly described the hidden patterns found around them.

"My gosh! They really are!" as Li Wei once again carefully observed her surroundings after listening to Han Shuo's words, she discovered that every single word Han Shuo said was true. With that, when Li Wei looked at Han Shuo again, a few traces of admiration could be seen in her eyes. With a voice filled with awe, she said, "What, what exactly are you? How can you see the most subtle detail in the environment so clearly?"

Li Wei was not alone in her surprise - the rest of his team, including Donna, were equally shocked. Their looks were filled with respect.

Those patterns Han Shuo had just described were extremely difficult for an ordinary person to detect. Even characters who were extremely sensitive to their surroundings wouldn't be able to find all of them. However, Han Shuo was able to describe such arbitrary patterns as the arrangement of trees so casually. This was far beyond their understanding of what a person could achieve in observation.

Who is this person? How could he know everything about his surroundings?

"What does this pattern have to do with this spot? Why can't they see us?" the more time Donna spent with Han Shuo the less she understood him. She had memorised all the patterns Han Shuo had described, but she still couldn't understand how these things had anything to do with their invisibility.

"Oh, this is so abstruse. It has to do with quantum entanglement, wave-particle duality, special relativity, photosynthesis, and..." Han Shuo explained ambiguously while keeping a serious face, not unlike a professional conman. Using profound sounding scientific terms found in the universe he came from, he began to talk gibberish to Donna and the others like an intellectual.

Donna, Li Wei, the Brook brothers and Colbert, who had looked at each other in bewilderment, were once again completely dumbfounded as they listened intently to Han Shuo's explanation. The more they listened, the more confused they became.

Of course you don't understand anything, even I have no idea what I'm talking about! Han Shuo found their reaction amusing and explained even more earnestly.

Donna and her teammates all stared at Han Shuo foolishly. They were speechless.

If Han Shuo had not performed so many miraculous deeds, brought them to this amazing place, or described the hidden patterns all around them, they might have discovered that Han Shuo was actually talking nonsense to them.

However, not only did none of them realise that Han Shuo was talking nonsense, they felt ashamed of themselves for not understanding Han Shuo's 'abstruse' explanation. They thought that they were just not smart enough.

Even after half a day of listening to his lectures, none of them understood even a smidgen of what he was explaining. These people began to question their own intelligence after watching Han Shuo make a conscientious effort to make them understand. Even Donna thought that perhaps her ability to grasp ideas was too low.

This guy must be a genius!

Bolten and Li Wei's glances at Han Shuo were filled with admiration. They became even more determined to trap Han Shuo.

"So, have you figured it out yet?" Han Shuo asked his teammates as he looked at them seriously.

"I, I understand a little, but not completely!" Li Wei nodded hastily, not wanting to appear particularly stupid, but also not wanting to disappoint Han Shuo for the effort he had made to explain.

When Bolten heard Li Wei's reply and saw Han Shuo's expectant gaze, not wanting Han Shuo to take him for a fool, he adopted a contemplative posture and nodded.

In his mind, Han Shuo was rolling on the ground laughing. He then turned his eyes to Donna with even greater anticipation.

Donna took a quick look at Li Wei and Bolten and saw that they seemed to understand something. She quickly thought that if she admitted that she did not understand anything, it would mean that she was not as smart as Li Wei and Bolten. So she put on a sweet smile, nodded cautiously and said, "That's pretty abstruse, but I could still understand some of it!"

"Ahem... Ahem..." Han Shuo coughed repeatedly to hide his urge to laugh out loud. Looking at the three of them pretending to be smart, Han Shuo suddenly felt that these godly experts from the high level material plane were just as vain as the mortals, if not more so.

"What about you?" Han Shuo resisted the urge to laugh and turned his eyes to Bowen and Colbert.

The two exchanged glances and shook their heads awkwardly. They looked embarrassed to show that they did not understand and dared not even look Han Shuo in the eye.

"You guys are too stupid!" Li Wei said contemptuously. Bolten nodded in agreement, but secretly felt quite proud of his intelligence.

"Ahahaha... " Han Shuo could no longer contain himself and laughed his head off.

"Bryan, how could you laugh at them?" Donna thought that Han Shuo was laughing at Bowen and Colbert because they were 'stupid'. She pursed her lips, knitted her brows and scolded.

"I, I wasn't laughing at them!" Seeing Bowen and Colbert getting even more embarrassed, Han Shuo hastily explained, "I just think it's very funny that we can see Olde and the others, but they can't see us. Haha, don't you think?"

The group agreed and gave a few seconds of forced laughter.

Han Shuo was torn between laughter and tears. He thought to himself, "It is indeed a disadvantage to be honest. The guileless are somehow regarded as the witless. This is an interesting bunch!

"All right, now tell us how we should take care of Olde and the others. Our sudden disappearance has so alarmed them that they have not dared to take another step forward. It seems that the bizarreness of this place has scared them to death!" Donna asked Han Shuo after stopping Li Wei and Bolten's mockery.

"It's simple. Just fire ranged attacks at them from this place. I can guarantee that they will never find out where the attack came from and they will not be able to discover our tracks!" Han Shuo explained after finally calming down.

"That simple?" Donna asked.

"It's that simple!" Han Shuo assured.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Hehehe, an opportunity to launch an attack like this doesn't come along very often!" Donna said as she smiled. She seemed pleased and immediately started to prepare.

Bolten, Li Wei and the others also started to brew their own attack spells that they knew best and aimed them at Olde and the others who were still looking around foolishly.

Donna suddenly raised both her hands. An aura of boundless darkness towards emperor sliced through a layer of obstructing boundary around her, invisible to the naked eye. Meanwhile, Li Wei and Colbert used the elemental energy of death to send out a vortex and a blizzard of death energy. Bolten and Bowen gathered their energy of destruction into sharp edges and sent them flying.

Of the group, only Han Shuo remained motionless. He watched indifferently as his five teammates launched attacks, not thinking of joining them.

"Oh no!" On the other side, emperor instantly cried out in surprise as he felt the ferocious attacks coming towards them. He hastily braced himself.

Eriksson wasted no words. He drew a line in the air with his left hand and a glittering shield of ice formed around him. The glittering light from the ice shield shone down on him, making him look quite spectacular.

"Don't move an inch!" the calm and collected Olde quickly turned to instruct Kelly. Without any apparent movement, he somehow managed to completely block the destructive energy the Brook brothers were sending his way.

Kelly should be used to being under Olde's protection. He had absolute faith in Olde and was not the least bit nervous. He crouched silently behind Olde without exerting a single ounce of energy.

"Bolten, Bowen, stop attacking Olde. Your attacks have no effect on him!" Donna hastily instructed after observing how effortlessly Olde handled the Brook brothers' attacks.

Bolten and Bowen responded in the affirmative. They stopped attacking Olde and turned their crosshairs on the duo of Emperor and Eriksson instead.

All five of them unleashed a myriad of dazzling attacks that passed through the formless barrier in front of them unhindered before landing on Emperor and Eriksson.

The attacks used by Han Shuo's teammates were rather strange and bizarre. They would use the energy within their weapons or draw on the elemental energy found around them and mix it with their own divine energy before sending it out to attack. Donna could also use the unique energy found in her Domain of Divinity and attack in a way that Han Shuo couldn't understand.

After a moment of attacking, Han Shuo discovered that although Emperor and Eriksson had used up a great deal of their divine energy, since they were both Midgods, the attacks that the four Lowgods launched at them did not have much effect.

Only Donna's attacks gave Eriksson and Emperor a big headache and were hard to resist. Bolten and the others soon realised that they could not hurt Emperor and Eriksson on their own. So they timed their attacks to start right after Donna's. That way, after Donna had torn apart the duo's defences, their attacks would be able to get in and actually hurt the duo.

After some heavy bombardment, Emperor and Eriksson were both on their last legs. They were so battered that they almost fled in disarray.

All the while, Olde had not stepped forward to help Emperor and Eriksson defend against the attacks. He had merely narrowed his eyes and watched his surroundings carefully, as if trying to figure out where these attacks were coming from.

The being using this colossal Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester was realms above Olde. Cultivation techniques from other universes were not something Olde could understand. Therefore, even though he had given his full attention to observing the surroundings, he still couldn't locate the source of these attacks. His efforts had been in vain.

"Huff... Puff... Damn, those two are a pain to kill!" Bolten panted, cursing in a low voice. He had used up a considerable amount of his divine energy after the series of bombardments.

"Oh? Bryan, why don't you attack?" Gasping for breath, Bolten suddenly noticed that Han Shuo was doing nothing but staring ahead with cold eyes. His partners all found the time to glance at Han Shuo after hearing his scream.

Han Shuo did not feel uncomfortable with all eyes on him. He smiled mischievously and explained, "Well, my power is weak. I don't want to humiliate myself!"

At this point, even if Han Shuo said that he was as weak as a kitten, these people would not dare look down on him. In fact, not only did Bolten not want to blame Han Shuo, he even spontaneously excused him: "You don't have to attack. Just keeping your mind clear and awake would be more than enough. We could save so much trouble and effort with your big brain here.

"Bryan, you just need to keep analysing the environment. We need your expertise in this area. You can leave the tedious work of killing to people like us!" Bolten continued.

He then pointed at Emperor and Eriksson and suggested, "You should all concentrate your attacks on Eriksson alone. Since Olde and Emperor have a friendly relationship, he might help Emperor in the end. But Olde didn't have many friendly relations with Eriksson and wouldn't help him. Also, in such critical moments, Emperor would probably only look after himself and wouldn't risk his life for Eriksson. That's why I think it would be more efficient to focus all your attacks on Eriksson!
