The Abyss was ruled by five demon kings: Bechymos, Cecrops, Golander, Leviathan, and Manticole. They possessed vast, expansive territories with millions of Abyssal Demons under their control. If the Abyss were a pyramid, then these five beings would be right at the pyramidion.
In the realm of the Abyss, where the strong preyed upon the weak, it seemed that every high-level Abyssal creature had to rely on one of the five Abyssal Demon Kings to survive. For countless years, the five great demon kings had waged an unceasing campaign against each other for control of the entire Abyss.
High-level races and existences were different from the ugly, filthy abyssal creatures. They possessed great power and extraordinary intelligence. Outside of battle, they had the ability to transform into various forms, with human form being the most common.
The constant warfare between the five great demon kings was like a law that had not changed since time immemorial. Every day, low-level abyssal creatures would march to battle and then to their deaths under the command of the higher-level beings.
The green-eyed and purple-eyed ladies were known as Hemanna and Sylph respectively. They both came from the War Demon Valley, whose master was called Crosius. He was one of the seven most skilled generals who served under the demon king Manticole.
The War Demon Valley was adjacent to Venomfang Castle, which was run by General Yeki, who served Demon King Golander. Yeki was an expert who belonged to a race of Triops. The two sides were locked in constant battle.
Hemanna and Sylph were both war demon guards under Crosius, Lord of the War Demon Valley. The reason for their duel was to decide who would get the position of Sergeant Major.
For the price of two pieces of jewellery, Han Shuo gained a basic understanding of the Abyss Realm from Hemanna and Sylph. Compared to the Profound Continent, the competition here was exceptionally gruelling. The strong would rule and the weak would be treated as cannon fodder.
The material planes occupied by these high level creatures were never dull, with all sorts of events and affairs taking place. With all the information the two alien ladies had shared with Han Shuo, he had learnt that the Abyss realm was brutal at times, but as long as one possessed great strength, it was not a task to gain respectable status and influence.
This world, unlike the Profound Continent, had no feeling for so-called royal families and nobles. Anyone who was in a position of power gained it through bloody battles and fights. Only the most vicious and savage beings could rise to power in the Abyss Realm and win the respect of others.
Hemanna and Sylph didn't know much about the endeavours of the higher levels of the Abyss realm. Neither of them had ever heard of the term 'Planar Guardian'. It was obvious that without a higher status or greater power, one would have no chance of learning deeper secrets and knowledge in this place.
Hmm, I guess I'll have to take a trip to War Demon Valley, Han Shuo thought. He turned to the alien ladies behind him and said smilingly, "Would you two mind introducing me to the master of War Demon Valley?"
The two alien ladies seemed rather disturbed. They stammered and acted as if they didn't quite know what to say.
Han Shuo was confused by their reactions. "Will that be a problem?"
Hemanna looked at Han Shuo and said in a somewhat embarrassed tone, "We are just puny war demon sergeants under Lord Crosius. Before we rise to the rank of Sergeant Major, we would have no chance of speaking to Lord Crosius. We simply don't have the qualifications to introduce you to Lord Crosius."
As Hemanna finished, Sylph quickly followed and explained, "She's right. War Demon Guards are divided into troopers, bombardiers, sergeants and sergeant majors. Only Sergeant Majors are allowed to report news and information directly to Lord Crosius. Until we become Sergeant Majors, none of us are qualified to meet him. It's not that we don't want to help, but we really are incapable.
After listening to their explanations, Han Shuo's expression turned serious. Both Hemanna and Sylph possessed powers even greater than the Sacred Rank experts on the Profound Continent. Yet, it was unbelievable that they were only sergeants, not even sergeant majors!
It was clear to Han Shuo that with the law of constant fierce competition in the Abyss realm, it would be impossible to find a situation where someone without sufficient strength would rise to high positions by relying solely on family connections, something that was quite common on the Profound Continent. In other words, a Sergeant Major under Crosius would have to be stronger than Hemanna and Sylph. By the same logic, Crosius would have to be even more powerful to be the master of War Demon Valley.
Consequently, Manticole, Crosius' master and one of the five great demon kings of the Abyss realm, must have powers Han Shuo could not even imagine.
"So that's the case," Han Shuo said with a serious look on his face. After thinking for a while, he smiled slightly and said, "If that's the case, do you think I can return to War Demon Valley with you two? And if so, could you two find me a position there?"
Having some idea of the state of affairs in the Abyss Realm, Han Shuo was certain that the creatures in this world were much stronger than those in the Profound Continent. The more he thought about it, the more sense it made. Since the Abyss world was such a cruel place, every creature spent their entire lives killing each other. Those who survived would naturally be stronger than the creatures on the Profound Continent who lived a relatively peaceful existence.
Han Shuo was certain that Crosius would possess a strength equal to or greater than his own. As for the five great demon kings, they weren't beings that Han Shuo could possibly deal with at the moment. Han Shuo had to be a bit careful not to provoke a powerful enemy he couldn't face and get himself killed before he even had time to familiarise himself with this new world.
"That would be easy, we can take you to War Demon Valley. Given your strength, you could definitely live well in the valley. If you are lucky enough to become a war demon guard under Lord Crosius, your prospects will be even better than ours," said Sylph, the purple-eyed lady.
"Then let us go! This is the first time I've left my home. I want to get to know this world better!" Han Shuo hurried the ladies along as he was somewhat enthusiastic.
The two ladies didn't say another word before they took off at the same time, leading the way for Han Shuo.
The way they flew was not quite the same as the way one flew on the Profound Continent. They seemed to understand the gravitational properties of this world, using an energy similar to the combat aura in their bodies to form a kind of harmonious resonance with gravity. As they flew, they stepped and kicked on empty air as if there was a solid but invisible ground beneath their feet.
When Han Shuo learned from Hemanna and Sylph about the rules of survival and the existence of powerful creatures in this world, he felt somewhat serious, but at the same time, he had an uncontrollable excitement in his heart. The crueler the world was, the stronger the existences would be, and this would fuel Han Shuo's desire to fight.
As Han Shuo's strength increased, there were fewer and fewer opponents in the Profound Continent who could match him. The Profound Continent was a relatively easy and comfortable place, an unfavourable place for Han Shuo to make breakthroughs in the Demonic Arts. However, in this savage new world, as long as one possessed enough mighty power, one could burn, kill, rob, and rule by force. This would truly allow Han Shuo to fulfil the desires in his heart.
Perhaps it was only in this world that Han Shuo could do as he pleased to the greatest extent, allowing him to make breakthroughs from this Carnal Realm that would take a regular Demonic Arts practitioner hundreds of years to achieve, and allowing him to reach the next realm - the Realm Of The Nine Changes - with his strength increasing many fold once again.
In fact, it may be only in this world that I can truly do what my heart desires and let my desires go. In any case, sooner or later I will be leaving this plane, so I might as well enjoy myself and have a good time!
At this thought, Han Shuo couldn't help but have some wicked thoughts as he glanced at the two alien ladies beside him. The two alien ladies had completely different and strange expressions from the women of the Profound Continent. Their coquettish appearance matched their armour, and the spikes all over their bodies had a wild, exotic, seductive power.
"What, what are you looking at?" Sylph immediately noticed Han Shuo's malicious gaze lingering around her breasts and thighs. She glared at Han Shuo and said resentfully.
Han Shuo shrugged his shoulders and laughed mischievously, "Just admiring, just admiring, hehehe..."
"Han Shuo, your smile is so suggestive. Hehehe, if you can give me another treasure, I will help you get Sylph. How about that?" Hemanna giggled. She looked at Han Shuo and glanced provocatively at Sylph before instigating Han Shuo with obviously evil intentions.
In this completely unfamiliar world, Han Shuo told the two girls his real name with the intention of making his way in this world and gaining a reputation with his real name. Perhaps one day there would even be a sixth great demon king in the Abyss Realm.
"You, you little bitch. I'll get you next time," Sylph glared at Hemanna, threatening her.
"Hahaha! If you really had the ability, I wouldn't be standing here right now," Hemanna said contemptuously. Soon after, she turned to Han Shuo, giggled and said, "So, what do you think? What do you think of my proposal?"
"No!" Han Shuo shook his head with a mischievous smile, rejecting Hemanna's proposal.
"I knew Han Shuo wasn't that type. Someone who possesses such immense strength must have strong convictions," Sylph grinned.
"I want both of you!" immediately after Sylph finished her words, Han Shuo continued with a mischievous smile.
In the Abyss Realm, as long as you were powerful enough, you could have as many companions as you wanted. Han Shuo had completely let go of himself in this unfamiliar world. On the Profound Continent, there were some things he wanted to do but didn't want to do, or wanted to say but didn't want to say out loud. But over here, he could do all those things without any qualms.
Expressing his feelings, which had been lurking in his heart for some time, seemed to ease Han Shuo's mind. It was as if speaking his heart out was in line with the ideals of the Carnal Realm, and seemed to have a mysterious effect that could elevate his realm.
With that, Han Shuo slowly came to a realisation. If he acted and spoke as he pleased in this world, if he let his heart run free, he believed that he could break through the Carnal Realm in this world.
Much to Han Shuo's surprise, Hemanna did not reprimand him, "You, you are quite ambitious, aren't you?" Instead, she chuckled and looked at him as if wondering if Han Shuo had the strength to match his ambition. After looking at Han Shuo for a while, Hemanna said to herself, "Hmm, maybe you could. If you could gain enough status and prestige, it wouldn't be a challenge for both of us."
"Hmm, if he has that strength, I might consider it." Sylph, the purple-eyed lady, was also evaluating Han Shuo, but she was much more preoccupied with Han Shuo's body.
If Han Shuo had said such a thing on the Profound Continent, no ordinary lady would be as receptive as she was. After listening to them argue as if they took his words seriously, Han Shuo chuckled and said arrogantly, "Interesting! If I can take you both down, then leaving my hometown will not have been in vain!"
"We are waiting for you!" the two ladies exchanged glances, teasing Han Shuo. This world couldn't have been more different from the Profound Continent, the women were much more open-minded.
After travelling a considerable distance, Han Shuo's eyebrows suddenly knit together and he stopped moving. He raised his hand and motioned for the two ladies behind him to stop. Confused, they asked, "What's wrong?"
"Five miles ahead, a group of people are fighting. One of the forces is made up of that race with three eyes. They seem to be your enemies?"
"What do their enemies look like?" Sylph asked urgently.
"They ride large and tall, eight-clawed, one-eyed abyssal creatures. They look much like you two.
They also have armour on their bodies," Han Shuo replied.
"They are the Shero Regiment! Our people!" Hemanna shouted before charging towards the scene. Sylph followed. Their expressions were grave and they showed no sign of fear.
Han Shuo's mouth was wide open, as if he wanted to warn them that these enemy Triops were far more powerful than those on their side, and that even with the addition of both of them, the situation wouldn't change. However, before he could say a word, Han Shuo found that they had recklessly charged forward.
Han Shuo shook his head and sighed. But shortly after, a thought crossed his mind and he revealed an evil smile. He thought, "Isn't this a great opportunity for me? If I use it well, not only could I get a place in the War Demon Valley, I could even subdue both of them at the same time.
