CHAPTER 510: Subduing a Unicorn

Unfortunately for the unicorn, this time his opponent was no longer a cyclops. Despite its enormous size, the Cyclops could never catch up with the Unicorn. Han Shuo, however, was obviously much faster than the cyclops.

Thus, Han Shuo, who was travelling much faster than the unicorn, blocked the path in front of it without hesitation and immediately set about unleashing two necromancy spells - Boundary of Weakness and Boundary of Fear. They were expertly cast by Han Shuo and enveloped the area for miles around.

Contrary to expectation, once the Boundary of Weakness and the Boundary of Fear were cast, all manner of magical beasts within the area of effect, regardless of their rank, were affected - except for the unicorn. It refused to stop running as fast as it could fly. With each hurdle, it would gain more than a dozen metres. It made a sharp turn and prepared to flee in another direction.

The unicorn's white horn sparkled with a bizarre brilliance. Pure, holy energy flowed from its horn, which seemed to purify the boundaries of weakness and fear. It was not affected by the two boundaries in the slightest.

Han Shuo was astonished, but soon came to his senses. Unicorns possessed fantastic horns with the ability to purify dark energy. It seemed that the Boundary of Weakness and the Boundary of Fear fell within this realm.

Despite the ineffectiveness of his measures, Han Shuo was not at all discouraged. In the blink of an eye, he was once again in the unicorn's path. This time, instead of using necromancy magic, Han Shuo positioned himself right next to the unicorn. Before it could react, his lightning fast hands were wrapped around it.

This unicorn had not been afraid of the cyclops. It had even used magical spells to trample him. But facing Han Shuo, it had no courage left. This clever creature could sense that Han Shuo was formidable and knew that it had no chance. So it turned on its heel and ran.

As Han Shuo held out his hands to the unicorn, its bright, narrow eyes rolled in their sockets. Its front hoof suddenly kicked, trying to change direction once again. The unicorn was determined to get away.

"Hahaha, you think you can escape me?" Han Shuo sneered with an evil smile. Just before the unicorn moved out of his reach, his arms stretched out as if they were made of rubber, and his quick hands pressed down on the unicorn's lower back.

The unicorn felt as if it were being held by two iron shackles. The massive force was not something it could simply resist. Its body was violently held back, unable to move.

Wind blades and lightning bolts continued to fly towards Han Shuo. At such close range, Han Shuo could not dodge the attacks, so he had no choice but to raise a shield. A round of crackling and rattling rang out like popcorn over the stove. Beneath the shield, Han Shuo remained untouched, unaffected by the blade and lightning attacks. Soon enough, the unicorn gave up its futile attacks. Its head drooped in despondency. Two trails of pitiful tears trickled from its pair of gem eyes as it turned its head to look at Han Shuo.

"I beg you, please let me go," the unicorn pleaded in a melodious female voice. Her beautiful voice was so pleasing to the ears that one could almost fall in love.

Han Shuo was stunned for a moment. He had not expected a unicorn's voice to be so pleasant and beautiful. However, Han Shuo was determined, and he would certainly not let go of a unicorn just because it had the voice of an angel. With his hands still on the unicorn, he smiled broadly and said, "I can let you go, but first you must promise to be someone's magical pet."

She refused immediately, not a hint of hesitation in her lovely voice, "Absolutely not! I would rather die. Just kill me!"

"Alright then, I will get rid of you right away and have your horns. Hmm, they must be very valuable," Han Shuo threatened with a malicious grin. He gestured at the unicorn's horn with one hand, seemingly deciding how to proceed.

The unicorn proved not to be as brave and unafraid of death as she had been a moment before. As she watched Han Shuo gesticulate with her horn, she called out again, "Wait! Wait! I can give you treasure as long as you are willing to let me go."

"Treasure? Hahaha, do you think a person like me would be interested in your treasure?" Han Shuo couldn't help but laugh out loud. He patted the unicorn's mane, and demonic yuan began to spread through her body like cobwebs, binding her magical powers.

Han Shuo released his grip. Beaming from ear to ear, he walked in front of the unicorn. After looking the wretched creature up and down, he began to seduce her, "To tell you the truth, it is quite a blessing to be the magical pet of my woman. I am sure she will take good care of you. Still, it would be better than living in this desolate forest. Besides, the human world is truly a rich and colourful place, full of beautiful things you can't even imagine. A being as pure and holy as yourself can only be appreciated by humans when you are in the human world. The magical beasts of the Dark Forest will never know of your beauty. You should know that..."

Looking at the unicorn, Han Shuo slowly explained with a tone full of temptation. Adding the demonic siren to his voice, he used the unicorn's own beauty to lure her, aside from repeatedly emphasising how colourful and diverse the human world was.

Faced with the threat to her life from Han Shuo on the one hand, the naive unicorn was enchanted by the vibrant and exciting aspects of the human world on the other. Her eyes gradually changed from pitiful to curious. Seemingly attracted by Han Shuo's proposal, she slowly blinked at him. After a long time, she finally opened her mouth, "Is the human world really as beautiful as you say?"

"Of course it is! I guarantee it!" Han Shuo said confidently and continued, not unlike a con man, "There are many beautiful things in the human world that you have never seen before. It is only when you are in the human world that your beauty can be appreciated by humans. With my protection, no one would ever think of harming you. I could even help you evolve. If you promise to be my woman's magical pet, you will discover that the human world is your true paradise".

The unicorn realised that with her life in Han Shuo's hands, she didn't really have a better option. On the one hand, she was frightened by Han Shuo's death threat, but on the other hand, she was genuinely curious about the human world. After a short moment of incessant blinking, she no longer hesitated and simply nodded.

Before Han Shuo could be pleased, the unicorn suddenly dickered, "But I want to choose my own master. And it must be a woman, not a dirty man like you."

"You can be sure of that. Your master is a beauty. You will like her," Han Shuo reassured. He thought to himself, "Once you arrive in human society, there won't be any room left for you to bargain. It may be diverse and colourful, but you will soon get to know the hostility of the humans as well.

"All right then. I have promised you. Now let me go," the unicorn said discouragedly, accepting her fate.

"I will take some energy from your body and withhold it, as well as leave something in your body to prevent you from taking the opportunity to escape." He patted the unicorn and said, "I have left a trace in your body and I can find you wherever you hide. So you better behave."

"Okay," the unicorn replied resignedly, before muttering softly, "What a despicable fellow. I hope my master isn't nearly as wicked. Otherwise, I would rather die than live my life like this."

Han Shuo heard all the words the unicorn muttered to herself, but said nothing. At that moment, the sound of heavy, pounding footsteps grew louder and louder. A massive silhouette in the distance gradually revealed itself.

The Cyclops slowly approached and walked over to Han Shuo's side. He was astonished to see the unicorn standing politely in front of Han Shuo, he asked, "How did you get it to be so obedient all of a sudden?"

"Well, of course. What else could it do?" Han Shuo smiled. Then he began to evaluate the Cyclops, inwardly weighing whether the Cyclops had any worthy uses for him.

Rumbling... It sounded as if the sky had fallen in the distant depths of the Dark Forest. For it to be heard so loudly at such a distance, some great event must have taken place.

The unicorn and the cyclops had obviously heard the sound as well. They both had fear in their eyes.

"Do either of you know what lies in the deepest part of the forest?" when Han Shuo saw the fearful expressions on their faces, he furrowed his brows and asked.

"I don't. But a few days ago I saw a huge dragon enter the forest. This mighty creature was just as mighty as you, it should have been a rank five greater dragon," the unicorn replied with a tremble in her voice.

The unicorn was only rank three. A fifth level dragon was the equivalent of a demigod in the human world. Her fear was not unreasonable.

"I dare not go there either. However, there seem to be a lot of powerful beings that have entered recently, as if some sort of massive change is happening inside," the Cyclops added.

"Oh?" Han Shuo stared blankly before continuing with a thoughtful look, "Then I will go in and have a look. Unicorn, you stay here. I will come back for you."

Han Shuo immediately took off into the depths of the Dark Forest.
