As the two five-horned aliens dove down, Han Shuo felt an enormous pressure crashing down on him. One of them was hurtling towards Han Shuo from high in the air. The five horns protruding from its head glowed with a cold, dark green light, making it look like five jade staffs from a distance.
Before Han Shuo could even react, he felt his consciousness being violently pierced by five mysterious energy forces. The five beams of energy felt like sharp awls, inflicting an enormous stabbing pain on Han Shuo.
His consciousness seemed to be pierced!
The whirling motion that Han Shuo was making with his two hands as he wielded the demonic blades abruptly stopped. The seven four-horned aliens that had surrounded Han Shuo continued to close in on him, the horns on their heads also glowing with a dark green radiance. Soon after, twenty-eight mysterious energy forces poured into Han Shuo's consciousness, followed by another twenty-eight weaker attacks on his soul.
What a splitting headache!
This was the most direct series of blows he had ever experienced. The acute pain even made Han Shuo momentarily dizzy and hallucinate. Even though a soul attack was a fairly straightforward technique, it could still cause immense pain, as if one's brain was being pierced with knife blades.
Countless years of cultivation in the demonic arts had caused Han Shuo to develop his ability to endure pain to an extraordinary level. The Demonic Arts had not only allowed Han Shuo's soul to evolve into a high level of consciousness, it had also made his consciousness more tenacious and miraculous than a normal human could ever imagine.
In all those days of constant, perverse tempering of his body, he had endured pain and agony that no ordinary person could endure. So, when the searing pain suddenly erupted in his mind, the dizziness only lasted for two seconds!
After those two seconds, the blood essence within Han Shuo's demon infant flared up, and instantly, his consciousness gained inexhaustible energy.
Unexpectedly, the clump of consciousness in his brain broke into millions of strands. The energy forces attacking Han Shuo's consciousness suddenly lost their target!
A moment later, Han Shuo's scattered consciousness regrouped at the site of his demonic infant.
The thirty-three soul-attacking energy forces reacted when they sensed the reappearance of Han Shuo's consciousness. However, before they could attack again, Han Shuo's consciousness fused with the demonic infant suddenly unleashed an absorption force of the most ferocious nature!
The Demonic Assimilation Technique, which was the inherent attribute of demonic cultivators to devour everything, was unleashed with the demonic infant as the root. A violent vortex formed.
Twenty-eight of the mysterious energy forces that were attempting to attack Han Shuo's consciousness were captured by the absorption force before they could exit Han Shuo's body!
Han Shuo narrowed his consciousness. Like a giant whale inhaling, twenty-eight soul-attacking energy forces entered the tiny mouth of the demonic infant.
However, the five mysterious energy forces emanating from the alien leader seemed to be one step ahead. As Han Shuo's consciousness reassembled within the demonic infant to form the 'Demonic Assimilation Art', the five mysterious energies seemed to have sensed danger and escaped from Han Shuo's body in advance.
"ROAR!" Han Shuo shouted loudly as he felt his demonic infant collapse and absorb the mysterious energy. The demonic blades in his two hands thawed and resumed their rapid twirling.
As the five horns on the alien leader glowed brightly, he was already charging at the seven four-horned alien experts. The green pupils that coldly locked onto Han Shuo suddenly seemed to contain an extra trace of fear. The blue-green glowing horns on their heads turned a sombre shade.
Only the alien leader descending from the top of the altar retained the colour of his five horns. It was as if the five mysterious energy forces that had previously left Han Shuo's body had been called back to their source to prevent further damage.
Before reaching the Carnal Realm, Han Shuo had already understood that the demonic arts that benefited one to the detriment of others had the miraculous ability to absorb energy. As Han Shuo's level in the Demonic Realm increased, the Demon Infant's ability to absorb energy for its own use became more pronounced.
However, perhaps because demonic cultivators belonged to an extremely evil faction, the Demon Infant's swallowing seemed to reject all positive energy, including holy energy and combat aura. It was as if the demon infant was refusing to absorb this energy in order to preserve the pure evil energy in Han Shuo's body.
When it came to chaotic, negative energy that caused violence and corruption, no matter how strange or mysterious the origin, once it fell deep into Han Shuo's body, the demon infant would always magically absorb it and transform it into the purest, most suitable energy for the demon infant to continue to grow and evolve.
It was the same with the evil energy in Elizabeth's body, and the energy contained in the bodies of these overtly unfriendly aliens.
Subconsciously, Han Shuo realised that he himself was the great heretic of the evil faction. All kinds of evil energy was at his disposal!
I am indeed a bad guy! Not only that, I'm also the bad guy who punishes other bad guys!
As Han Shuo thought to himself and laughed, the demonic blades in his hands spun rapidly, producing flashes that were almost invisible to the naked eye.
As for the four-horned aliens closest to Han Shuo who were unable to retreat in time, before, Han Shuo's Demonic Blades could only leave traces of blood on their bodies. But now, after a round of Demonic Blade flashes, Han Shuo discovered that the new wounds on the seven alien experts around him were deep to the bone!
The trace of fear in the green pupils of the seven alien experts turned to sheer terror. Suddenly, the seven aliens surrounding him uniformly backed away from Han Shuo. Fresh, stinking green blood gushed uncontrollably from the new cuts on their bodies!
Han Shuo was also dazed. He inspected the metre-long Demonic Blades, almost dumbfounded, not understanding how his Demonic Blades could suddenly inflict such extensive damage on the seven aliens.
After some thought, Han Shuo realised that the only difference between this attack and the previous ones was that the demon infant had now absorbed the mysterious energy that was attacking his soul from the seven aliens. Could it be that his demon infant had absorbed the twenty-eight strands of mysterious energy from the aliens?
"Hey! Elder Sister Tiana, could you hurry up a little?" Stratholme's cry rang out a short distance away from Han Shuo as he pondered.
When Han Shuo turned his head, he discovered that Stratholme was swimming around a group of aliens. He was wielding a long sword and his lily embroidered robe was stained with fresh green blood. Stratholme gave the impression that he was some sort of germaphobe, as he seemed extremely uncomfortable with the green blood splattered on his robe.
He attacked with his longsword, dodging around the group of aliens and occasionally slashing at the corners of his bloodstained robe. Even in such a moment of life and death, he was concerned about the cleanliness of his robe. This simply left Han Shuo torn between laughter and tears.
Stratholme seemed slightly nervous. Han Shuo couldn't help but sigh at how powerful and experienced the old monster Stratholme was. Throughout, he never gave the five-horned alien leader a chance to get close to him, instead moving around the four-horned aliens that surrounded him in a wonderful pattern. Again and again he would strike with his sword, and another bloody hole would appear on an alien's body.
Ginger gets spicier with age. This old monster is a cunning and experienced opponent, Han Shuo thought as he formed an impression of Stratholme.
"Done!" shouted the upper class woman Tiana from her distant hiding place.
Soon after, the temperature in the area plummeted. Gusts of bone-chilling wind gathered in an instant, slithering around like a giant anaconda. Even the four-horned aliens, once swept by the cold air, froze into ice sculptures. Four columns of cold air of the greatest thickness were formed between them, and they enveloped each of the four alien leaders.
The two at the top of the altar and two more underneath were enveloped in dense, frigid air, specially prepared for them by Tiana. The four alien leaders, almost a head taller than the rest of their species, did not immediately turn to ice even through the cold air, so cold it could freeze space-time itself.
Still, they suffered some effects. Their bodies visibly froze. Crackling noises could be heard from the alien leader pursuing Stratholme as his speed gradually decreased. Eventually, it was as slow as a snail, its bodily functions largely impaired by the cold air.
Then a magic spell was cast by Tiana, and the space between heaven and earth became a frozen realm. The entire lake was frozen. The cold air, the atmosphere, the human shadows; everything seemed to have stopped. Except for Stratholme, the old monster, Han Shuo and Tiana, nothing could jump or move.
Han Shuo, too, was shivering and silently cursing the paralyzing cold! After a few glances at the five-horned alien, who moved sluggishly but mechanically, Han Shuo was finally sure that Tiana was a Water Divine Magus. Otherwise, her bone-chilling air would never have been able to freeze the demigod-like aliens.
"Now is the time, go get the things!" Tiana ordered. There was a hint of excitement in her voice.
The Crystal of Water!
Even though it had lived for so long, hiding in the shadows of the continent for so many years, it still proved to be an irresistible temptation for the Water-Divine Magus!
"Move!" shouted Stratholme, the old monster. A new set of silver-grey robes, embroidered with lilies, replaced his frayed robes. His gaze was fierce as he watched the round orb radiating lights of combat aura. His body shot out like lightning.
Of course, Han Shuo didn't want to be left behind. For the first time, he used the 'Demonic Ninth Heaven's Art' to its fullest. Reynold and Tiana were blind to his flight path. By the time he reached the top of the altar, his own shadow had not disappeared from beneath the altar where he had just stood.
