"Eh, I have a lot of things to do right now. I'm afraid I don't have any time to spend with you." Han Shuo thought for a moment and then replied to Lisa.
As for Lisa, Han Shuo had disliked her in the beginning, but with his later interactions with her, he realised that Lisa wasn't a bad person. She was just a little too naive. Especially towards the end of their interactions, Lisa had protected him in many ways. This made it difficult for Han Shuo to maintain his heart of vengeance towards her as he had before.
However, as much as he did not dislike Lisa, he still had no feelings for her. Therefore, when Lisa made her suggestion, Han Shuo could only fob her off with a careless excuse.
When Han Shuo said this, Lisa remained silent for a while and then nodded. "All right, I will return home tomorrow. I hope you'll be stronger the next time we meet."
Lisa was noticeably distracted when she said this, and she smiled after her words were finished. She walked back to the girls' dormitory alone, her back shaking slightly.
Shaking his head and sighing lightly, Han Shuo only returned to his room when he saw Lisa disappear into the distance.
When he arrived at the dormitory, Han Shuo had just pushed open the door when a longsword stabbed him in the chest. His face changed drastically and he tried to back out of the doorway without thinking.
However, the movement of the sword was like a bolt of lightning as it had already reached Han Shuo's chest after the cold light had flashed. Han Shuo's rapidly retreating body tilted sideways as he quickly fell to the side.
Pfft, the long sword stabbed deep into Han Shuo's body through the ribs, injuring him instantly. The ambusher then quickly withdrew the longsword with ease.
Despite the pain in his body, Han Shuo didn't make a sound as the Demonslayer Edge flew out of his right sleeve. It pierced the door and stabbed directly at his attacker.
Dark green combat aura suddenly exploded as the door shattered into splinters. A figure with a covered face suddenly appeared in front of Han Shuo, accompanied by metallic clashes.
With Han Shuo's current sight, any concealment would be useless as long as he could catch a glimpse of a certain person. Han Shuo hadn't thought that Clark would be so frighteningly persistent. He had retreated with all due haste when he hadn't discovered anything last night, but tonight he had lain in wait to make a move against Han Shuo.
Because he had felt a bit apologetic towards Lisa, Han Shuo hadn't been on his guard this late at night, and so he had been less cautious. He hadn't thought that Clark would actually ambush him and so he had been injured when the ambush began.
As an Earth rider, Clark's combat aura should have been milky white. However, it looked like he finally understood that Han Shuo wasn't an easy target after last night's failure and was much more cautious this time.
These thoughts flashed through Han Shuo's mind like lightning. Before the only partially hidden Clark sent another punch his way, Han Shuo looked at Clark as his legs suddenly exerted power and he retreated madly outside, shouting loudly, "Assassin!
Bam! Han Shuo's back suddenly ran into a solid and cold wall. When he turned around to take a look, he discovered that there was nothing but air behind him. His heart immediately tightened as he understood that Clark had come prepared this time.
Han Shuo had focused all his attention after Clark had appeared and could sense that there was no one else around. If Clark, as an earth rider, had set up the water magic in the environment that was this solid ice wall, it meant that he must have used an expensive magic scroll that didn't need magic as a catalyst. That was why he was able to unleash the solid ice wall in the surroundings, completely blocking Han Shuo's escape route and all sound from travelling.
In fact, the solid wall of ice didn't break when his back hit it. Han Shuo obviously saw a mocking look flash through Clark's eyes, his entire face so muffled that only his eyes were visible. Then another ball of dark green combat aura flared up, forming the appearance of rolling waves and swirling towards Han Shuo.
As his mind raced, the Demonslayer's Edge that had just been returned to his hand suddenly howled as it was infused with magical yuan. It danced with extremely hot flames to counter Clark's wave of combat aura attacks.
It was a pity that Clark felt a strange power suddenly appear as he sensed the magical yuan infusing Demonslayer Edge, halfway through his attack. His eyes flashed and Han Shuo discovered that the swirling combat aura attack was dark green on the front and milky white on the back.
He didn't even need to think that Clarke was afraid of failing when he sensed the unknown power. He finally unleashed his hidden power and displayed the full ferocity of an earth rider.
Although his Magical Yuan was limitless in power, Han Shuo had only been training it for a few months. He knew it would be difficult for him to defend himself against this all-out attack. He weighed his options with extreme speed in his mind, and the three original demons circling Clark instantly merged into Clark's body, devouring his essence with reckless abandon.
"Agh!" The silent Clark instantly screamed in agony as the original demons began to devour him. The milky white combat aura he'd just released was partially drawn back into his body in an attempt to destroy the three rampaging Original Demons.
Bam! rang out as Han Shuo's magical yuan and Clark's combat aura finally collided. Han Shuo staggered backwards, his mind a bit dazed.
Suddenly, three stabs of pain were reflected in Han Shuo's nerves, and his somewhat foggy mind instantly cleared. He understood that this meant that the three original demons in Clark's body had already been destroyed. He focused his concentration and looked at Clark, noticing that Clark was looking at his body in panic as a strand of blood slowly seeped from the corners of his mouth.
With the three original demons eating away at his essence, Clark's body was surely injured now as well. Otherwise, he wouldn't be looking at himself with such horrified eyes. After all, for the people of this world, having an unknown entity enter their body and devour their essence would be something they would remember for the rest of their lives.
The Demonslayer's edge, newly imbued with magical yuan, carried with it a burning, flaming momentum as it slammed into the back of the solid ice wall with a howl. A sharp ping sounded as Han Shuo charged towards the corridor with a look of joy.
Just as Han Shuo threw his head back and was about to scream for help, Clark suddenly jumped out of Han Shuo's window and quickly made his escape as he'd felt the barrier collapse. He looked a little dirty. It looked like he knew that with the collapse of the boundary, the plan to kill Han Shuo this time had failed, so he decided to retreat immediately.
When he opened his mouth, Han Shuo didn't call out. With Clark gone, there was no point in him calling for help.
Due to the sound isolation effect, even though there had been an extremely harrowing fight in Han Shuo's dormitory and hallway, it hadn't woken up any of the other students. Han Shuo's heart was still pounding with fear as he looked at the shattered door and entered silently.
The three painstakingly refined original demons had been destroyed by the combat aura within Clark's body because of the need to contain him. However, it was the effect of the three original demons that had saved Han Shuo's life. Although the three had been destroyed, Clark's body had also been injured as his essence had been eaten away by the original demons. He would have to rest for the time being and it would be difficult to prepare for a second attack.
"It's alright, the new will replace the old. It looks like I can start refining an even higher level of the Yin Demons. When I reach the True Demon Realm and produce the elite wood zombie and yin demons, it'll be your death sentence, Clark." Han Shuo muttered to himself.
The next day, morning.
Lawrence came looking for Han Shuo as they had agreed, and the two of them sat down in Han Shuo's room.
"Clark came by last night, I was almost unable to see you again." The door was still shattered and there were obvious signs of a fight around it. Han Shuo didn't hide anything and spoke openly to Lawrence.
With a start of shock, Lawrence was astonished, "So soon?"
Nodding, Han Shuo said again. "Yes, I didn't think it would happen either. However, Clark's body has also been injured and I don't think he'll make another attempt anytime soon. You don't have to worry about anything."
"You, you hurt Clark?" Lawrence looked at Han Shuo in disbelief as he asked in shock.
"Yes, I didn't think that would happen either. But Clark's body was also injured and I don't think he'll try again anytime soon. You don't have to worry about anything."
"You, you hurt Clark?" Lawrence looked at Han Shuo in disbelief as he asked in shock.
"Yes, but if you think that means my strength is greater than Clark's, you're wrong. I hurt him by accident, and if I hadn't dodged in time, he would have definitely killed me. This person is really hard to shake off." Han Shuo's face was grave as he spoke in a low voice.
Even without Han Shuo's reminder, Lawrence knew how thorny Clark was, as he was more familiar with him. Although Han Shuo didn't talk about how the battle had gone last night, Lawrence could tell from his expression that it must have been very heated indeed. No matter what methods he'd used, the fact that Han Shuo was able to injure Clark meant that Han Shuo was no ordinary man. So when he heard Han Shuo's words, Lawrence's opinion of Han Shuo went up a few notches.
"With my understanding of Clark, it will be difficult for us to find him now that he's injured. He must have returned to a safe place to rest and recover. Our plan to kill him can only be delayed." Lawrence thought for a moment and spoke slowly.
"All right, I have a few things to take care of myself. Let's wrap things up here for today and I'll find you in ten days. We'll talk then."
Lawrence also nodded in agreement after Han Shuo spoke, then looked at him deeply before saying goodbye. Han Shuo also cautiously walked to the mountains in the background, planning to start the refinement of Earth Elite Zombie in the Cemetery first and then finish the matter with the forest trolls.
