Going To Regret Letting You Go!

Zhu Biyu forced herself to smile at housekeeper Wang. Housekeeper Wang had always been good to her. 

A lot of times, the house was always empty, and Housekeeper Wang would always try to stay for longer to keep her company.

"Young Madam....don't tell me that it's what I'm thinking. I know you're mad, but you can't leave like this! The master did something wrong, but you can talk about it! You have been married for three years, after all! You can't just throw it away for nothing!" Housekeeper Wang pleaded.

Zhu Biyu shook her head. "It's fine. I'm fine. I think ...we were supposed to have gone our separate ways a long time ago. I think I was holding onto something that was long gone!"

Her voice faltered at the end, yet the determination in her eyes was all that Housekeeper Wang needed to know that she had made up her mind. 

Still, she pressed on and didn't want Zhu Biyu to leave like that.

"What are you talking about?! Of course, married people should stick together! You know what, I'll go talk to the master! How could he just let you walk away from his life?" Housekeeper Wang asked. She felt mad. She had high hopes for Ye Yating and Zhu Biyu. 

It never crossed her heart that they were going to end like this. 

Housekeeper Wang tried to go upstairs, but Zhu Biyu stopped her. 

"Housekeeper Wang, that's okay! You don't need to talk to him! We have already made the decision! This is for the best! Ye Yating....he has never really been happy with me. I can't force him to be unhappy for my own sake! He should chase his happiness!" Zhu Biyu said. 

It hurt her to say it, but it was the truth. He never loved her. And she could not force love. 

Housekeeper Wang stomped her foot on the ground angrily. "He's going to regret letting you walk out from his life like this!" She said. 

Zhu Biyu smiled genuinely this time. "I don't think that will happen. He's with someone he loves now...." She said. 

"That Fang Yuhan?! She's just a two-faced bitch! He's going to regret this! " Housekeeper Wang said with even more conviction. 

Zhu Biyu pulled housekeeper Wang into a hug.

"Thank you so much for taking care of me, Housekeeper Wang. I'll invite you out for tea once I'm settled!" Zhu Biyu said. 

She pulled away from the hug, but housekeeper Wang held her hand. 

"You have to keep in touch with me! Don't forget about me just because it did not work out between you!" She said. 

"Of course, I am going to stay in touch with you!" Zhu Biyu said. 

Housekeeper Wang was unwilling, but she had no choice but to watch Zhu Biyu leave.

When Zhu Biyu was out of the big villa, she finally realised that she had nowhere to go. 

For a second, she regretted not taking the money from Ye Yating. But she immediately reassured herself that she had made the right decision. Her pride was more important than anything else, and she would not let him walk all over her. 

Zhu Biyu thought of who she could spend the night with. The only person she could think of was her best friend, Liao Zhi. She immediately called her. 

"Hey girl, what are you doing?!" Liao Zhi's cheerful voice rang out from the other end of the phone. Liao Zhi had always been cheerful. 

Zhu Biyu immediately felt better when she heard her voice. 

"Zhi...where are you now?" Zhu Biyu asked awkwardly. 

"Me? I'm on a business trip! Seriously, I hate my boss so much! He's always dragging me on business trips, saying that he wants me to gain experience. Still, I don't do anything else besides serving him and his business partners! I think that he doesn't like me. And he's just doing it to punish me!" Liao Zhi whined. 

Zhu Biyu's heart immediately sank to her chest when she heard this. Liao Zhi was out of town, and there was no one else she could call.

"When are you going to be back, Zhi?" She asked. 

"I don't know! It all depends on my boss' mood. We should have signed the contract long ago, but he keeps messing around and delaying it. Really, I have no idea what goes on in his head. Is that how all rich people behave? Is this how Ye Yating treats his employees?" Liao Zhi asked. 

Zhu Biyu thought about it for a moment but then realised that she didn't know much about Ye Yating's work. 

"I have no idea.....I don't know much about his business."

"Hey, Biyu, are you okay? You don't sound fine. Did Ye Yating do something to upset you again? I already told you you should dump his sorry ass a long time ago! He's always had a frown on his face, acting like he's better than everyone else! He doesn't appreciate you, too! Don't let him get to you, okay?" Liao Zhi said. 

Zhu Biyu did not want to tell her friend on the phone about her pathetic situation. 

"No, I'm fine. We are fine," she said. 

"Is that so?" Liao Zhi asked. She was a bit suspicious. 

"Yes, I'm fine. Hey Zhi..." Zhu Biyu was going to say something, but she heard someone call out Liao Zhi's name from the background. 

"Hey Biyu, my boss is calling for me. I'm sorry, but I have to go! Let's have dinner when I get back, okay? We are going to get hotpot and get our faces stuffed!" She said.

"Okay," Zhu Biyu agreed blandly. She was barely done with that when Liao Zhi ended the call. 

Zhu Biyu rubbed her arms. She felt cold. She felt like she was truly alone in the world. There was only one place she could return to the Shen family. 

She decided to call her adopted mother; she didn't want to go there only to get kicked out.

She called her foster mother, Jia Ming. She only picked up on the third ring. 

"Hey, why are you calling me so late?! Don't you know that other people have to go to bed?!" Jia Ming asked with an annoyed tone in her voice. 

Zhu Biyu swallowed a gulp. Jia Ming had never liked her. In fact, she barely tolerated her ever since her husband adopted her. 

"I just wanted to know how you are doing….."

"We would do well if you knew your duties! Your father told you to tell Ye Yating to invest in his company. Why haven't you done it yet?!" Jia Ming yelled.

"I don't know much about his business mother….."

"Sigh, you're so useless! If I had known, I would have let Shen Nuan get married in your place! You can't help us at all! Besides, it's been three years, and you aren't even pregnant yet! What are you doing really?!" Jia Ming said.

"I....I'll talk to him!" Zhu Biyu said and ended the call. She knew she was not going to get any help from her.

Besides, after listening to Jia Ming, she knew very well that if she told her she was leaving Ye Yating, they would tie her and drag her back there.

Helpless on where to go, Zhu Biyu wrapped her arms around herself, feeling alone. This was how it had always been. She was always going through life alone. 

However, a part of her had desperately hoped that she would build a family with Ye Yating.

It started drizzling just as she decided to take a cab to the closest hotel.

The Ye Family lived in an expensive and heavily guarded district. It was impossible to gain entrance unless a person had enough connections or lived there. 

Finding a cab was impossible, and the only thing she could do was to walk out of the district first and then find a cab. 

Dragging the small box that held all her belongings, Zhu Biyu started to wander in the rain. At the same time, tears rolled down her eyes, blending with the rain.

Soaked from the rain, Zhu Biyu finally got to the gate and dragged her box house to wait under a small waiting park for a cab. 

Just as she sat down, she heard someone call out in the rain. 

"Sister!"
