Luther vs Grimdank

There are different layers of reality in the universe Orion was transported to which included the elemental realms.For each magical element there is an elemental realm in its own layer of reality.It is with these realms that people can leave their layer of reality and also summon elementals corresponding to that elemental plane.For example you could go to the water elemental realm and summon water elementals from there.

The spell Grimdank used temporarily transported himself and a large number of pure goblins to the shadow realm.Grimdank then moved the goblins and himself a short distance forward past where the outer ring wall magic barrier would be using a different spell known as shadow walking.

Shadow walking was a spell that allowed one to move seamlessly through shadows and it was far more effective within the shadow realm.

Grimdank then cancelled out both his spells and re-entered physical reality along with the large number of goblins he brought along.The goblins he brought along were all elites that included mages,red caps and hobgoblins.A battle immediately broke out among the humans and goblins.

The goblins had the humans outnumbered though and this was due to the fact that only a few reinforcements had arrived.The reinforcements were also newly trained as the captains of the royal and noble guard thought they could use the experience.They still hadn't acknowledged the threat of the goblins.

There was one individual who was tipping the scales of battle however.Luther Fronin was at the low A class which meant that the mid B class goblins were no match for him regardless of how they tried to overwhelm him.

Luther Fronin had immediately gotten ready for battle when he saw that the goblins temporarily disappeared.He brandished his trident and prepared to cast his water element spells.

Before the goblins appeared he had already casted a spell to cause the ground to be slippery for his enemies and not his allies.He also cast a spell to increase the speed and force of his allies strikes.

When the mutated goblins appeared Luther Fronin was ready.With their arrival he used swift and precise footwork along with large swaying powerful strikes and thrusts to rapidly strike down goblins in singular strikes.

"They are not much when they are away from their massive magic formation."yelled Luther Fronin as he became a tidal wave on the battlefield.

His presence appeared to improve the morale of the soldiers and demoralise the goblins.Grimdank realised that something needed to be done in order to prevent hhe goblins from losing the battle.He would have to join in the battle.

Grimdank cast a spell to manipulate his shadow and give it a physical 3 dimensional form.He then had it charge at the human with the trident.

Luther Fronin looked at the incoming shadow with disdain.Was this really it.Luther stabbed his trident into the shadow but it became stuck.It was as though it got stuck in a Marsh or bog.

The blade of a black dagger made of shadow then stuck out of Luther Fronin's waist.Luther looked behind himself in time to see a goblin dressed in black stabbing the waist of his shadow.

"You let your guard down immensely.Did you really think that was it?."Grimdank said with equal disdain.To be fair Grimdank had to admit that if it wasn't due to his advanced stealth abilities and ability to mask his aura and presence he wouldn't have been able to even get to the humans shadow.

"What kind of magic is this I've never seen it before."thought Luther Fronin.He had truly never experienced magic like this before.He used some muscle and force to lift his trident with the shadow still stuck to it and attempt to strike the pure shadow goblin down.

Grimdank had wanted to stab Luthers shadow again but didn't have the time.Luther was bleeding heavily but he had tensed his muscles to prevent his intestines from spilling out.The two low rank A existences then entered a battle at a speed that made the surrounding goblins and humans watch on in awe.They appeared to be on a similar level.

Grimdank however didn't have these thoughts as Luther was the one with superior martial prowess,fighting technique and experience.He would be overwhelmed if he didn't do something.

He couldn't use his shadow since it was still stuck to the humans trident.He also couldn't access the humans shadow as Luther was no longer letting him anywhere near it.He would have to try something different.

Grimdank then summoned five shadow clones who rushed to Luther along with Grimdank on the right side.Luther felt that the shadow clones were physical bodies that could cause him damage and weren't some illusion.Luther couldn't attack all of them at once but that was okay he decided he would attack and kill the user which would in turn make the spell disappear.
